Sorry for the late reply, I didn't even know this part of LL existed. My avatar is the airborne/glider patch the soldiers in airborne units wore on their overseas or "cunt" cap. It goes back to WW2. I was with the 101st from 88-92 and we worn them then. The 82nd wore berets, as does the entire army now. Stll feel the beret should be for airborne, ranger and special forces only. It was a mark of distinction. Anyway, always glad to say hi to all 82nd members, past and present. Great bunc More..
