Yes, Duane was truly a master. His slide guitar skills perhaps unmatched. I picked up this box set back in 1994 after hearing it. It's fantastic.

aw man the layla album is epic, few people know how huge an impact he had on that one. He's in practically every song and he takes the most commanding solos in those songs.
He also wrote the guitar lick to "layla" and thats him playing slide through out the whole damn thing. I've become quite the archiver of all things duane, if you use any torrent sites they are a great source for bootleg live shows. I've purchased every available recording with duane so I don't feel bad getting boo More..

Duane Allman, you are correct sir, the greatest guitar player to ever walk this earth. Many years ago when i was young, when I first heard him play guitar I was just inspired, I said, "i have to do that". Been playing guitar ever since, course I don't sound like duane lol, if I did id be rich.
