Saw your post on the Cougar upload, wishing to see one in the wild... I'm an old guy and have spent much of my time in the outdoors and have seen about a dozen.I'm sure more have seen me. As in my avi? No, lol... That photo was taken last September up on top of a mountain in the Jim Bridger Wilderness area of Wyoming while on a deer hunt. I was many miles of rough hiking away from the nearest "letter box"! I saw a grizzly, and heard wolfs howling every night for the week that I was up there, but not a postman in sight.

Well, after my deer was shot, I field dressed it (skinned it out and removed the "guts". Messy job, by the way.) Then, using the deer's skin, hair side down, as a clean place to lay the carcass on, I partially "boned the animal out" as we say; meaning that I removed most of the cuts of meat from the bone, which is done in order to save weight because I had to carry it all out on my back: Approx. 120 pounds of meat and gear altogether, I would guess.
