@william tecumseh sherman I'll keep you updated, it has a 350 and yes it sucks to buy gas for it, I am replacing the heads, pistons and rings and hpefully she will be ready to go. @william tecumseh sherman if you are interested in the initial issue, who ever I bought the boat from put in domed pistons and modified heads to up the compression ratio. the compression ration was above 10:1 and they ran regular 87 octane fuel in it, from my understanding this causes the engine to detonate the fuel and builds to much pressure in the cylinder. This has caused all the valves tobe sunk in and also onthe head between 2 of the cylinders there is a burn through about half inch wide a More..
