First up Jihad does not mean murder or Holy war.
Jihad means to struggle. There are two kinds of Jihad. Greater Jihad and Lesser Jihad.
Greater jihad is the struggle to control ones desires and follow the path as prescribed by God. Lesser Jihad is the physical struggle against oppression.
