The result of such tests could have been found out BEFORE the actual tests, if you would have read the gun ownership related law.
The 10 years no violent felony/misdemeanor is something written in there.
I am sure you are a good guy, and you need the gun to protect yourself, but a country cannot get into each person's character REALLY, it requires highly professional personel, so the decision is to do a surface test, which you've not passed.

dude, I live in Bakersfield CA. The gun shops here (I used to work at one)charge $25 for the test. Did you sign a reciept acknowledging that the deposit was non refundable, if so, you're screwed, if not, take them to small claims.
If what you are saying is true about what the DOJ said and what you actually did 8 yrs ago, I may be able to hook you up with a NRA rep here in Bako who is a good guy and very helpful. How do we exchange info if you'd like my help?
