Two years ago they won Super Bowl XLIII. Three years before that they roared to victory in Super Bowl XL. By all rights the Steelers are the closest thing there is to an NFL dynasty,Yet the doubters persisted, even after the Steelers opened the season 3-1 without their franchise quarterback,The Steelers have what the other teams want. To be in position to win a third Super Bowl in six years in this era of free agency and constantly changing rosters is nothing short of miraculous.

Both the Jets and the Steelers have good defenses. JETS' secondary a little better, but Steeler front seven a lot better. Clark and Polomalu can feast of errant passes if the front seven do their job. It won't be that Sanchez is a bad QB; it is that when you are hurried and hit a lot--no one throws their best passes except for maybe Ben. He does like the contact.
Running game favors the JETS, but neither of the Jets running backs are effective blockers. Steelers have one running back that is More..

Just checked out the Top performers from this last week and we placed high in every stat offensively:
Big Ben comes in ranked 3rd in yardage with the Overall highest Passer rating with 333 yards and check this out...128.9 Passer/QB Rating!!! Holy crap! That's as high as I have ever seen it for anyone I think!
Of Course, Mendenhall kicked holy hell on the ground and is Rated #1 in Rushing yardage with a whopping 165 yards with 2 Touch Downs! A full 44 yards more than his second place contender.Hi More..

There's a big WIN on the books. Steelers are looking better..not perfect but much better. I think Arians finally got the message to lose the Vanilla Offensive schemes...mixed it up quite well last night. Mendenhall and the Oline really looked good.

Lets not read too much of any of this...Many teams improved in the offseason and The Steelers remained virtually unchanged. Steelers for the most part start off preety poorly. The teams that win the Super Bowl are the teams that get hot later in the season. Look to the Titans last year.All season long hotter than all hell only to piss out in the Post Season. Same thing with Mannings Colts. Look at The Cards last year....horrible in the start and got hot in the post season.
