I am no expert on tanks, but you photos look like Soviet era tanks to me. I reviewed images of MK 1-4, and the rear fender skirt looks incorrect. The spider gears look correct, but the rest is confusing, could you clarify things a bit.

these hybrid tanks were used by israel in so lebanon in 2006 and prvious years.. youre right they are in fact t55 conversions with british centurion 105mm and some merkava parts as well. i found the word merkava in hebru means chariot or wagon derived from the arabic word merkaba. so regardless of what the class is or was.. merkava it is.. merkava down.
