    • here is an example of identity theft that includes a murder from a stolen weapon that was even posted on liveleak,

believe me, identity thieves buying firearms is highly prevalent in USA. Even now, those that report their identities stolen; references of it are rarely included in the mandated "background check." Like I said, the gun laws in USA are flawed and outdated and because of America's current state (war, living in fear, ect.), seat More..

      • Yeah, but I never denied that bad guys would be able to sometimes obtain firearms.

Dictatorships have some of the lowest crime rates on record. Because the government commits most of the crime and the people live in fear.

I'd rather live someplace where the law-abiding can freely posses firearms. As I don't believe you can legislate yourself into a Utopian society.

    • All that I'm saying is that America's gun laws are outdated. I understand USA's predicament in that changing human rights given by your constitution is next to impossible, given lobby groups and the idea that one can only protect their family if they have a gun. That ideology wouldn't be necessary if guns were more restricted and less common.
Although many different reasons why allowing anyone to get a gun is ludicrous, the most understandable is when considering ID theft. There are many report More..

      • First of all, I'm not a cop. I don't know where you go that idea.

Secondly, cite some instances where someone stole another person's identity and then used it to obtain a gun. I have never heard of a case where this has happened.

We're going to just have to agree to disagree on the harm vs. good question. There's no accurate way to quantify it. Successful uses of a firearm rarely get the attention afforded to high-profile shootings. Sometimes, they don't even get reported.

    • do you think usama or al queda would be who they are today, or even exist, if the u.s.'s foreign policy wasn't what it is?

      • I think Osama would've gone to Afghanistan to fight the Soviets anyway. He was already radicalized in school, one of his teachers was Saayed Qutub's brother. And he continued to become more radicalized after his baptism of fire in the Soviet Jihad. After the war, the Islamists were convinced that they had single-handedly defeated a superpower, so they went looking to take-on the US next.

You seem be one of those people that thinks "blame America" is fashionable, even when there isn More..

    • Osama Bin Laden is only a scape goat. It is in reality: the an entire islamic ideology that plots global war fronts against the modern powers. Blood lust.

Just remember, it is not one man we are at war with, but many.
