Quoted comment by TDR_: For some reason I
cant reply to you my page. Anyway :
You said that Saddam was a Sunni? Yes, maybe by
name. he was a secular leader and hypocrite at
best, HE WAS NOT RELIGIOUS. He crushed any
resistance! Your saying that a Sunni (Saddam)
oppressed the Shiite just because of their
religion? Well that logic is broken just because
the fact of the he GASSED SUNNI KURDS.
And please save the "leftist" crap, am
not a American. In fact I am SHIITE IRAQI WHO
"LIVES" in IRAQ, I can get my info from
the ground not FAUX NEWS. The current war is or
Civil war is a political one and NOT are
Religious. I don't hate Sunnis in fact most of my
friends are sunnies.

was a non religious Sunni, that fact is widely

TDR_, am I misunderstanding the situation if I was
thinking that the two main religious sects (Sunni
and Shia) are quite concerned about the amount of
representation that the new Iraqi government will
give them? I thought that was the big difficulty
in getting a long-term successful democracy going
over there. Thanks for the insight, I look
forward to your reply!

dog-and-pony show when they go to church on Easter
and Christmas. They really play it up, liberals
and conservatives. Granted some are devout, a
