Look, I'm not interested in a discussion on global patterns of terrorism, or the role that US foreign policy has played in the rise of Islamic extremism.
I am talking about one person, Osama Bin Laden, and the popular myth that he had a relationship with the CIA, or that al Qaeda was somehow a creation of the US government.

Like I said, my original comment was addressing the false claim that the US government "trained Bin Laden". I never denied that the US was actively arming Afghans via the ISI. I never denied that the US fostered Islamic extremism as a means to an end of the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan.
