Im sorry but Chechens are brainwashed just like the rest of Muslims, Some fat asses in the government wanted economic independence aka decided to take all the oil from Russia by just saying its now ours! and sent religious dumbasses to fight in the name of Allah and homeland.

Well those were the times of, Turkish/Persian invasions, peasant rebellions etc... Russia needed Chechnya to secure the borders and im sure were not too nice to the Chechens but in the 90s however the situation was different. The only thing that could have kept Independent Chechnya going was oil. Im neither russian or American.. but a Russian USA war isnt what i want either lol... some how i figer 1 way or a other we all end up death than.
