      • @ObamaCare_4_All I do say thank you for your kind comment. Having spent most of my life not around people but in remote areas of wilderness (yet, the past several years around ALOT of people at once by giving lectures on cruise ships, National/State Parks and in auditoriums/theaters) has given me a view where I appreciate more the simplicity (and interwoven complexity) of the natural world and cultures whose lives depend directly on their relationship with it.

        Thx.

I love the nature and remoteness too, we have small areas of remote nature here in Denmark.

I bought a scooter, tent and everything needed for outdoors life and took a 3 month roadtrip this summer.....slept on the beaches and at farmers land.
        My best experience ever!

Next summer I'll go around Fyn, an island in Denmark, google search about Fyn:

Ps. My dad is from Greenland and mother from Denmark.

I thank you very much for the vids from the documentary, never knew of it.
I'll see the whole documentary later.

A sad fact about the.population on Greenland: There is not a single true blood Inuit left up there.
Even though Greenland is danish, there have been most german fur hunters up there, I'm 1/8 german lol.

There was alot of British and Norwegian fur hunters up there too...girl's from Greenland are some of the most cute, p More..

      • @ObamaCare_4_All As far as the cute, pretty, and loveliness of the women in Greenland, I beleive you. Same with Iceland (I may be in Reykjavik in a couple of months for a convention) but there are beautiful women all over.

Yet physical beauty always fades; the quality of the presence inside the physicality is where the real beauty lies. For me, a few traits of beauty-of-character are loyalty, honesty, compassion, love, and of course a sense of adventure. Got to have a sense of adventure. Cutie More..

"Cuties always turn my head, but takes much more than that to turn my heart."
        -My new motto ;)
I don't need to excuse for going out on my roadtrips, everybody who knows me, know I'm out there doing what I like.
I was inspired in school to take pictures, I like the challenge with no zoom with my phonecam.

Thank you for your response, I'm sorry for my short reply...I'll be back later, was very inspired and you made me dream of seeing Alaska.
        Thank you.

    • Flat out awesome content. Subbed. I am a amateur Naturalist and currently enrolled in the Master Naturalist program here in Florida.I concentrate on Lowland and Highland species. Bet I could learn a lot from a guy like you.In my job, I sometimes get to rub shoulders with Federal and State Biologists/Game Managers working as I do in the NF and NP and find myself jealous of their jobs.Mostly USFWS and Region 4 guys and gals. • @Fire37Rescue Thank you. Very cool info about your involvement in the Master Naturalist program.

As you are on the path of Naturalist, may I suggest a small book titled "The Tracker" by Tom Brown? With no scientific training, he is considered by many of us field-biologists (and others) as THE master naturalist. I certainly have learned from him.

It has blown open the world of nature to biologists, naturalists, hunters, birders, hikers, anyone who enjoys a depth of interaction with t More..

      • @daleastor Thank you, Daleastor. When I read your comments, you strike me as coherently aware, a real person. Newer to the active online world, I've noticed the "real" people tend to stay on the outskirts of this online life.

I am afraid, however, of making this my life experience. I would extinguish my internal flame if I did so.

Now, I have got to cut (pardon me, "split" some wood for my parents) some wood and clean my neighbors gutters. The leaves fell all at once this More..

        My internet motto these days:

        *short controlled bursts*

Splitting some wood? What a fine endeavor! Leaves? I'd rather be splitting wood. I hung a gutter yesterday for a friend, and in less than twenty four hours, the damn thing is already fouled with that pesky autumn tree debris you mention. Yes, they fell ALL AT ONCE in our parts too.

Thanks bgwrkr/hang ten. You made my night. :)

      • @Grace37 The basis of nature, from photosynthesis upward, is eating and being eaten...the transition of energy from one source transformed into another. Some things I post because they might be considered abhorrent...and that helps raise awareness in opposition. So sorry it's not all kitties and puppies. Thank you for your comment.
