I gotta disagree. In the chowhall, there are two TV sets, sports and news. 90 percent are watching the sports. When Petraeus gave his speech to Congress, AFN broked normal broadcasting to air it. Over half of the room picked up and left the room.
Military mostly votes Republican, but few are the people, especially among the young, who really follow politics.

I just saw your post on the Glen Beck Surgery video. Are you involved with medical care in a prison facility or a hospital near one? I can relate to how difficult it is to watch somebody die. I was lucky enough to be with my Mother holding her hand the night she died. It was the longest, harrowing experience of my life and I wouldn't trade it for the world. No words would have prepared me for what I saw and experienced that night. It has really matured me. You are a good man CS.
