I was SeaOpDet Whidbey. "AE" They Bastardize me with the Big "E" and the Stinkin' Lincoln. Did a stint with VA-95 on the Ranger. I think they called it RimPac in the mid 80's. My first carrier was the USS Coral Sea. But that was many moons ago.
I'm not homesick for any Navy ship anymore. That's why I now live the desert.

SeaOpDet NAS Whidbey here. AIMD IM3 700 Div W/C710 AO2 Webb.
I rode the Stinkin Lincoln when they moved it from the east coast to the west coast, rode the Enterprise from Alameda to Oceana, that was a bad ride for me, then there was 2 cruises on the Ranger, one on the Kitty Hawk, and one on the Nimtiz.
Ranger was my favorite, rode her in 90-91 IraqPac.
VA-145 Swordsmen and VA-155 Silverfoxes on the Ranger.
I still get homesick for blue water and Ranger.
