I just wanted to reply to your comment about leaving IED to do damage later.
I am sure they did not leave the 2 IED's sitting there, the drone likely only carries 1 or 2 hellfire missiles so using them both to explode the IED would mean they have nothing to take out the tangos with. So they followed them to their "safehouse" which was likely also the place they used to make bombs, and blew up the bad guys there, along with a few extras for a bonus measure.
