you will not find god in the bible it is as you say a book of storys .the bible koran are made by men to eslave mankind ,but that dos not mean there is no god . i too believe in evolution what we are humans took 6 billion years not 6 days ,since i was 3 years old i have believed in something we labal as god. thank you for getting back to me on this subject peace be with you brother

You sound like a down to earth not anti-science christian so I have no problems with you. I may be an atheist but I am also liberal in the sense freedom of (or from) religion.
What bothers me is when someone pushes their faith on to me or society. An example would be teaching creationism/ID side by side with biology/evolution.

Was looking for many years. Hard to believe in a book that claims that we sprung into existence when everything we know points to evolution. Hard to believe in something that claims that the earth was flooded when there should be traces from the event. etc. etc.
The bible is just a book of myths. Personal experiences are not a good way to find out if something is true. Otherwise I could make myself believe anything regardless if its true or not.
