      Every gas station I go to has a DRAWER, not a stick LOL. The DRAWER extends about 10 INCHES. The person is right there so you tan talk to them too.

      The wall of the store isn't 6 feet thick. Why put everything associated with the cash over 6 FEET inside the store?

    • @hang3xc This is much colder there, I think this system was a one-off owner-made afterthought where the goal was to keep the cold out when the hundred or so customers who are only getting gas don't have to open the door and let all the heat out. One hundred customers in a day = ~two hundred door openings. That's money right there...
