What's the main catch in Lake Erie? I just landed a 4.5 lb walleye in Lesser Slave Lake, what a fighting fish. Never had better white meat (on a fish), then a walleye. Good luck this weekend, I'll be doing the same.
@-sloop- Hey Sloop. Do you guys call walleye pickerel? I keep hearing different people calling them both. Caught a couple bass in my life, good fighting fish, and steelhead too. The true fighter, but would never eat unless smoked would have to be the northern pike.
@treday...Naa, walleye is just that and a pickerel is just that. Northern Pike is an awesome fighter and in my opinion tastes good in my beer batter and deep fried in peanut oil. Cheez, buddy.

@treday--Yellow perch, walleye, smallmouth bass, steelhead to name a few. I agree with you on the quality of walleye meat. I love it.

@-sloop- Hmmm. I'm going to have to try it. Thanks, never thought of using peanut oil.
