The Summit County prosecutor said Edwin J. Heatherly, 71, of Akron, was using a high-powered pressure washer to clean his grill on June 14. Heatherly's neighbor of 30 years became upset because the grime from the grill was coming over the fence onto his house. The victim tried to get Heatherly's attention, but was having trouble because the victim is deaf and mute. The victim then tried to get Heatherly's attention by spraying a hose at him. That's when Heatherly sprayed his power washer at the victim, cutting the victim's hands, arms, chin, neck and the area behind his ear. Heatherly's wife called police. When officers arrived, they found the victim in his yard, bleeding profusely from his face, arms and hands. Heatherly was sentenced to six months in jail and one year probation. So, in a way, the Maricopa resident really is a giant. Adams, 71, built the first dwarf car in 1965. It's a replica of a 1928 Chevy two-door sedan constructed from nine refrigerators. Adams didn't have a torch to shape the steel, so he learned how to fold a quarter-inch along the edge of each body panel and fuse it with an arc welder. Not knowing how to make compound bends at that time, he incorporated the natural curvature of the refrigerators into the design.
