      <description>Marines assigned to Scout Sniper Platoon, Battalion Landing Team (BLT) 3/2, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), and Sailors assigned to the USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), conduct a live-fire exercise while at sea, to practice defending the ship against small boat attacks.  The 26th MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force. The MEU is a Marine Air-Ground Task Force capable of conducting amphibious operations, crisis response and limited contingency operations.</description>

The Legged Squad Support System, or LS3, demonstration was a performance test of the pack mule prototype for the Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. James Amos and DARPA Director Arati Prabhakar.</description>

      <description>On May 29th, members of first platoon, 288th Sapper Company conducted a route clearance near the village of Kakarak in the Uruzgan province of Afghanistan. This B-roll footage was shot primarily from a GoPro Hero 2 helmet cam mounted on the top front of an MRAP Buffalo. There is also footage from inside the truck as the crane arm uses its water and air cannon to safely check a suspected IED site from inside the vehicle.</description>
