He grow up in the city of Daraa and started his career in the Syrian Army at the age of 19 and studied Engineering. According to him, at the end od his career he was responsible for a section of the Syrian Army vehicle fleet. After he had fled with his whole family to Jordan, he returned after some days to the Syrian border and started to establish a militia with teenagers from Daraa ! He begged the "Free Syrian Army" to give him weapons, equipment and money but they denied his request. "They gave me nothing. They said that I was not responsible". After long discussions with FSA officials he gave up and returned to Amman where his family live in a three-room apartment provided for free by the Jordan Government. " If nothing change in Syria, the fighting will go on for years ." The idea that the Free Syrian Army could defeat the forces of Assad, he considers as naive. " From my time in the vehicle fleet and in the replenishment storage, I know exactly what amount of weapons and equipment the government army has. That's enough for five more years of war. Even if Russia and China should stop the flow of weapons. " According to him the rebels are much weaker and much poorer organized as they promise. " The (rebel) commanders exaggerate when it comes to the number of fighters. They do this so they can claim more guns and more support ". Many of their success stories are simple bravado. " The (rebel) commanders have recently claimed to have shot at the Government Palace from the Damascus airport but they don't have weapons there, with such a range ". Asfar is not the only army deserter who has turned away from the rebels. In Amman alone, there are 40 high-ranking officers, who spend their time with doing nothing. The Jordanian government pays them a salary of the equivalent of ten euros a day . " The money comes from donors in the Gulf , but I can not tell you exactly by whom. I do not know , "said the General. The General sums up his impressions: " Our experience could help the Free Syrian Army a lot. But these people can not stand criticism, and they won't change even ". They killed the doctor, a paramedic and the driver. They also killed a member of the security forces....the stored weapons are among others handgrenades, machine guns and Kalashnikovs." At 1:24 he mentioned Rifat Al-Assad , the uncle of Bashar Assad, he commanded the troops in the event which is known as the "1982 Hama massacre" according to different reports it results in the death of 1000 - 40000 people. The "Hama massacre" ends the years of violence between the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood and the Syrian Government and it's citizens. The Brotherhood bombed buses and placed car bombs and also attacked among others the Aleppo Artillery School in 1979 and killed at least 83 cadets.
