Two friends battered a sheep to
death with a hammer and cut off its legs in a field so they could have a
free roast dinner, a court heard.Matthew Davidson, 28, and Kevin Sherratt, 33, stole the mutilated remains and paraded the animal's head around.

But
their drunken prank on a farm in Macclesfield, Cheshire, backfired when
they sent photos of what they had done to a friend who alerted police.

Mutilation: Matthew Davidson, 28, can be seen
attacking the lamb which had two of its legs removed and its head torn
off in Macclesfield, Cheshire
The pair sent the friend five pictures of themselves slaughtering and mutilating the sheep with a blade.

In a reference to their Sunday lunch, Sherratt said in a sick jokey text message: 'Lamb sorted. Only Yorkshires needed now'.

He also said the whole incident was 'well funny' and they had been thinking about what they were going to eat the next day.

  The
toothless loan shark: Market trader who ran illegal debt racket from
his fruit and veg stall is spared jail because interest rates were 100
times LOWER than payday lenders Husband jailed for LOOTING his own wedding venue... and his heavily pregnant bride is standing by him

Davidson and Sherratt, both
unemployed and from Macclesfield, admitted criminal damage and theft of
the sheep before magistrates in the town.Simon
Pover, prosecuting, said: 'On April 26, the farmer discovered one of
the hoggits (year-old lambs) had been killed and its body mutilated. Its
remains were found on a footpath. Both hind legs and the head had been
removed.

Sick prank: Davidson, 28, shows off the head which was torn off the dead sheep

Boasts: Kevin Sherratt, 33, jokes to his friend
'that's Sunday dinner lamb sorted' after sending a friend a picture of
what they had done
'On April 25 at 8pm, a friend known to
both defendants received a text message from Davidson asking "you up
for killing a cow, pal?".'At
11pm that same night he received a text message from Sherratt saying
"seriously mate how much fun we had, oh my days". He then received five
pictures of the men slaughtering and mutilating the sheep with a knife
or blade.'In another
picture Davidson was stood in Sherratt's home holding up the lamb's
head. Another text said: "Lamb sorted. Only Yorkshires needed now".'Mr Pover said other messages bragged about the brutal killing.

One
text from Davidson said: 'I hope we didn't scare you with all this. We
were a bit (drunk) and thought about Sunday dinner. It was funny when
the hammer went through that skull. Think I might have found my new
career as a butcher not a builder'.'Another
from Sherratt said: 'It was well funny. I held it down and said do not
hit my hand with that hammer. What does he do, but on the killer blow
hit my hand with the hammer. It hurt my knuckle. He is a lunatic.'The police found bags containing the animal's body parts and bloodied tools in a shed at Sherratt's home.

Mr
Pover told the court: 'Sherratt told police they were drunk at home and
decided they wanted a roast dinner. He said he had hunted smaller
animals.

Sick pranksters: Davidson, 28, (left) and
Sherratt, 33, pleaded guilty to criminal damage and theft of the sheep
when they appeared before magistrates
'They decided to kill a sheep
and got a claw hammer and serrated knife. They went to a field during
the night, caught a sheep by running alongside it, pushing it and
pinning it to the floor.'He said the first blow killed it but they took an extra two or three strokes to make sure. They both skinned the animal.

'Davidson
told police he had spent three days at Sherratt's house and been drunk
throughout. He couldn't remember much but recalled being in a field with
a sheep.'Trevor Feehily, defending, said the incident had been triggered by alcohol.

He said: 'It doesn't excuse what either of them have done. Both said it was drunken and complete stupidity.'

Police wanted to charge Davidson and Sherratt with animal cruelty, but they could not prove the sheep had suffered.

They will be sentenced on June 7.

By
Peter Allen
In loving arms: The first picture of siblings
Mathew and Carla Stevenson who allegedly had their throats cut by their
father, Julian Stevenson, in France
Hugging and smiling, they were a brother and sister who could not have been prouder of one another.

Mathew
and Carla Stevenson were two of the most popular pupils at their
primary school in rural France and renowned for being extremely close. But last Saturday both allegedly became victims of a bitter custody battle between their English father and French mother.

In
a suspected double murder, 10-year-old Mathew and five-year-old Carla
are said to have had their throats cut by their father, Julian
Stevenson. The 48-year-old, who is originally from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, allegedly killed them both in an alcohol-fuel rage.

Their
mother, Stephanie Morlet, came to collect them from a visit - the first
Stevenson had been allowed in three years because of his violent
behaviour - and saw him escaping the murder scene in a suburb of Lyon on
a pair of roller-skates. Today,
a picture of the loving little brother and sister was on display in the
village of Charantonnay, south of Lyon, where the children's former
classmates took part in a 'white march' in support of the family. Many
were in floods of tears as Ms Morlet, who is in her early 40s,
walked at the head of a process of some 300 people carrying white roses
and white balloons.

M'They
were hugely popular children,' said Marie-Jeanne Chesneau. 'Our aim
today is to show how much they meant to us, and how much we miss them.'Mrs
Chesneau said the Morlet family had moved to the village some six years
ago, and Mathew and Carla enrolled at the local village school in 2010.

This was around the time that Ms Morlet was divorcing Stevenson because of his violent behaviour.

Mrs Morlet wore dark glasses today as she walked through the town surrounded by family members.

'Stephanie inconsolable - her world has fallen apart,' said one family member. 'What has happened is absolutely horrific.'

Ms
Morlet was badly beaten up by Stevenson in 2005 and 2010, when an order
was made preventing Stevenson seeing the children without a third party
adult being present.

The
2010 order was said to have been reversed over the past few weeks,
meaning Stevenson was allowed to have the children to stay on Friday
night for the first time in three years.
Stevenson
has been formally placed under criminal investigation for the double,
and is likely to be remanded in custody until his murder trial.Another
judicial source said: 'We are presently holding back from the charge of
premeditated murder but this could always change.'
The source said all the circumstances surrounding the horrific crime would be investigated over many months.

deaths

Neighbours
of the Stevenson said he had appeared 'calm and relaxed' as he wandered
around the St Priest suburb of Lyon, where he lives, with the two
children on Saturday morning.
'It
was a warm day and he was in T-shirt and long shorts,' said one. 'The
children were smiling happily, and appeared to be enjoying a day out
with their dad.
'He was buying them little presents, including sweets, and did not appear in the least bit flustered.'

  When
Mrs Stevenson, an accountant's assistant, returned to pick up the
children from the second floor apartment at around 5pm on Saturday she
saw Stevenson looking 'panicked and angry', according to a neighbour.
'He
was in the stairwell of the block, and his clothes were covered in
blood,' said the neighbour. 'He made off on a pair of roller-skates,
leaving his car in the apartment block's garage.'

The block of flats where Julian Stevenson lived

Following a short manhunt, Stevenson was found in Lyon's 8th arrondissement at around 8pm on the same evening.

A judicial source said that a knife which was thought to be the murder weapon had been found in the flat.

The
source said the double murder was 'clearly linked to a painful
separation' and 'legal procedures concerning the right to access to the
children which the father deemed insufficient.'
Stevenson
has been living in France for 10 years and married in 2005. His wife
was finally heard by prosecutors on Sunday, providing them with their
details of her troubled relationship with her ex-husband.
Investigators were particularly keen to know who gave the father legal authority to look after the children.

Remember: Hillary Clinton Fired From "Watergate" For Lying...

The now-retired general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Hillary when she worked on the Watergate investigation, says Hillary's history of lies and unethical behavior goes back farther - and goes much deeper - than anyone realizes.

Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the committee. Hillary got a job working on the investigation at the behest of her former law professor, Burke Marshall, who was also Sen. Ted Kennedy's chief counsel in the Chappaquiddick affair. When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation - one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifman's 17-year career.

Why?

"Because she was a liar," Zeifman said in an interview last week. "She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality."

How could a 27-year-old House staff member do all that? She couldn't do it by herself, but Zeifman said she was one of several individuals - including Marshall, special counsel John Doar and senior associate special counsel (and future Clinton White House Counsel) Bernard Nussbaum - who engaged in a seemingly implausible scheme to deny Richard Nixon the right to counsel during the investigation.

Why would they want to do that? Because, according to Zeifman, they feared putting Watergate break-in mastermind E. Howard Hunt on the stand to be cross-examined by counsel to the president. Hunt, Zeifman said, had the goods on nefarious activities in the Kennedy Administration that would have made Watergate look like a day at the beach - including Kennedy's purported complicity in the attempted assassination of Fidel Castro.

The actions of Hillary and her cohorts went directly against the judgment of top Democrats, up to and including then-House Majority Leader Tip O'Neill, that Nixon clearly had the right to counsel. Zeifman says that Hillary, along with Marshall, Nussbaum and Doar, was determined to gain enough votes on the Judiciary Committee to change House rules and deny counsel to Nixon. And in order to pull this off, Zeifman says Hillary wrote a fraudulent legal brief, and confiscated public documents to hide her deception.

The brief involved precedent for representation by counsel during an impeachment proceeding. When Hillary endeavored to write a legal brief arguing there is no right to representation by counsel during an impeachment proceeding, Zeifman says, he told Hillary about the case of Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas, who faced an impeachment attempt in 1970.

"As soon as the impeachment resolutions were introduced by (then-House Minority Leader Gerald) Ford, and they were referred to the House Judiciary Committee, the first thing Douglas did was hire himself a lawyer," Zeifman said.

The Judiciary Committee allowed Douglas to keep counsel, thus establishing the precedent. Zeifman says he told Hillary that all the documents establishing this fact were in the Judiciary Committee's public files. So what did Hillary do?

"Hillary then removed all the Douglas files to the offices where she was located, which at that time was secured and inaccessible to the public," Zeifman said. Hillary then proceeded to write a legal brief arguing there was no precedent for the right to representation by counsel during an impeachment proceeding - as if the Douglas case had never occurred.

The brief was so fraudulent and ridiculous, Zeifman believes Hillary would have been disbarred if she had submitted it to a judge.

Zimbabwe's Mugabe signs new constitution

President Robert Mugabe has signed Zimbabwe's new constitution into law, clearing the path to crucial elections later this year.

A beaming Mugabe - flanked by Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, his main political rival, and Deputy President Joice
Mujuru - signed multiple copies of the charter on Wednesday at State House in the capital, Harare, to cheers and applause from aides.

Approved overwhelmingly in a referendum in March this year, the constitution clips the powers of the president, limits presidential tenures to two five-year terms and does away with the post of prime minister.

However, it does not apply retroactively so the 89-year-old Mugabe could technically extend his three decades in office by another 10 years.

"This day is an historic day, it's about the future," Eric Matinenga, the Constitutional Affairs Minister said at the signing ceremony.

"I can assure you that this document which is before us is a good document."

A new constitution is one of the pre-conditions for elections to pick a successor to the shaky compromise government Mugabe formed four years ago with Tsvangirai.

Mugabe has ruled Zimbabwe since the country gained independence from Britain in 1980, tainted by allegations of rights abuses against his opponents and critics.

'New path'

The constitution was unopposed through both houses of parliament.

Tsvangirai said the charter had set the southern African country "on a new path" after nearly a decade of economic decline and political violence that started in 2000 with the seizure of white-owned commercial farms by Mugabe supporters.

Mugabe and Tsvangirai formed a power-sharing government four years ago to avoid a descent into full-scale conflict in the aftermath of a bloody presidential run-off election in 2008.

The power-sharing government faced frequent difficulties over the allocations of key government posts, the implementation of key reforms and over charges of violence.

The five-year coalition parliament, formed under the same agreement, expires on June 29, and parliamentary and presidential elections should follow within 90 days of that date.

The date for the elections is yet to be announced.

Mugabe and his allies want the polls as soon as possible, while Tsvangirai insists on the application of reforms first to ensure a free and fair vote.

Many obstacles remain, not least finding the estimated $130m needed to pay for the election, and reaching agreement on outside monitors. Harare has turned down offers of United Nations or donor assistance.

MILLER: Anthony Weiner is a twit who treats women like dirt

Anthony Weiner thinks his brief absence from elected office means the public will forget his disrespect and disdain for women. He's wrong. He didn't just treat strange women like sex objects, he harassed female journalists who work on Capitol Hill. Two of us work at The Washington Times.

Mr. Weiner was forced to resign from Congress because he was caught texting and tweeting pictures of his private parts to women, some from the House members' gym. The married Democratic congressman thought the scandal would blow over, but House Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Deborah Wasserman-Shultz were so disgusted with his behavior, they told him to take a hike.

A year earlier, The Washington Times White House Correspondent Susan Crabtree was covering Congress for The Hill. She was reporting on the House Ethics Committee's conviction of Rep. Charles Rangel, New York Democrat, and possible punishment. She wrote that her sources said Mr. Weiner might speak on the floor in defense of Mr. Rangel to get a lighter penalty than censure.

Mr. Weiner was furious with the story, probably because it could jeopardize his mayoral ambitions by being associated with the tax cheat. On Dec. 2, Mr. Weiner saw Ms. Crabtree in the Speaker's Lobby, which is the area off the House floor where reporters wait to talk to members as the enter or leave the chamber.

Ms. Crabtree asked him if he would be speaking in Mr. Rangel's defense that day. He replied that she had not verified that detail in her story. She told him that she had had two very good sources that said, exactly as she wrote, that he was considering speaking.

Mr. Weiner then gave her the middle finger - in front of all the other reporters - and quickly walked away.

The congressman wasn't just being a jerk and targeting a female journalist, but he was deceitful about his intentions.

As Ms. Crabtree reported the following day, during the censure vote, Mr. Weiner and two other Democratic members of the New York delegation gathered around Mr. Rangel in the well of the chamber to show their solidarity.

Mr. Rangel, the former chairman of the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee, became only the 23rd member of Congress in history to be censured by his colleagues in the House of Representatives.

Six months after Mr. Weiner flipped off Ms. Crabtree, he subjected me to humiliating sexual comments. I was covering the sexting scandal for The Times. On June 1, the whole Capitol Hill press corps was looking for Mr. Weiner to get some answers.

I happened to be the only reporter in the Speaker's Lobby when Mr. Weiner walked out, clearly looking for someone to tell more of his lies about the scandal.

At this point, he was still denying everything, telling the press that his Twitter account had been hacked. The other women had not yet come forward to show their own naked pictures sent by the congressman.

That day, Mr. Weiner stopped when I approached him and moved in very closely, about six inches from me. He debated me on the charges against him by making sexually explicit jokes at me. As this went on, dozens of reporters crowded around us in a huddle.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/multimedia/audio/anthony-weiner-makes-lewd-jokes-female-reporter/

Weiner: We don't know where the photograph came from. We don't know for sure what's on it. We don't know for sure if it was manipulated. If it was taken out of one place and dropped something else. And I'm going to let the firm get to the bottom of all that. Jon Stewart might have actually been right last night.

Miller: Are there pictures out there of you undressed? Do you have pictures that exist?

Weiner: You know this is part of the problem with the way in which this has progressed and one of the reasons that I was, perhaps - you'll forgive me - a little bit stiff yesterday.

Miller: Jesus Christ.

Reporter: You've used the word firm, you've used the word...

Weiner: Can I ask, is there a weiner joke that hasn't been used in this context?

Miller: You're making them all, though.

Weiner: I'm making them all?

Miller: You're making all those.

Weiner: I would refer you to any of the coverage of this case, the jokes kind of write themselves.

Mr. Weiner then gives an extensive defense of his privacy. A reporter asked him to explain how he claimed to have been hacked but did not deny taking the photo of himself.

"We know for sure I didn't send those photographs. We know for sure that someone did. We know for sure that one of my follower's name was inserted. We know for sure she's put out a statement she doesn't know me. I certainly don't know her. I don't really know her connection to this, but her statement speaks for itself." He then explained that he was tweeting at time and deleted the tweet when he saw it.

Miller: How did someone get a picture of you in your underwear, if that's possible?

Weiner: We don't know where this photo came from, if it has been manipulated, which is a possibility. As Jon Stewart alluded to last night, there are reasons to believe it might have been.

(Comedian Jon Stewart, Mr. Weiner's close friend and former roommate, joked on the previous night's show that he remembered his friend as being less well-endowed.)

Weiner: We don't know that it's a police matter. I got spam yesterday. ...

Reporter: How can it not be?

Weiner: How can it not be? Very easily. Every day all of us get spam. Every day, all of us have people responding to us, 'Can't believe you're sending me this.'

Miller: You're a member of Congress.

Weiner: I'm a member of Congress. I'm also a citizen. There's nothing official about someone sending ... by the way. ...

Miller: You're standing in the Speaker's Lobby, having 40, 75 reporters around you. If this is an issue of the Capitol Police, if this is ...

Weiner: Why?

Miller: Because you're a member of Congress standing in this Capitol ...

Weiner: But a member of Congress doesn't mean when someone sends a piece of spam to my account, doesn't make it a federal offense.

Miller: But this whole issue could go away. ...

Weiner: I am trying to find out, and I think I have taken steps to do so. If you'll forgive me, I know we're now in the weeds of a particular issue. If you can take a step back - not literally - you can step as close as you like. Let's remember what happened here. A congressman named Weiner who has a rather edgy, perhaps aggressive Twitter feed. Where he was spending the whole day poking at Clarence Thomas, gets a Twitter picture of fill in the blank.

This was a prank, intended to derail me or distract me, whatever it is. It is not a federal case. Now maybe it will turn out - forgive me - that this is the point of al Qaeda's sword and that this is the effort, this is where it's going to begin. And I've asked internet security to take a look at my private Internet feed - my private Twitter feed that has 45,000 followers, more than Michele Bachmann, I want to point that out. I finally passed her.

That interaction shows the real character of Anthony Weiner. Today, he does not claim to have learned to respect women in his brief absence from public life. He is solely focused on regaining power and fame.

The disgraced congressman asked New York voters Wednesday to give him a "second chance." He doesn't deserve it.

{{ ANOTHER VACATION }} - Michelle Said to be Considering an Extended Vacation

{{ ANOTHER VACATION }}

With scandal swirling about the White House, First Lady Michelle
Obama may be considering an extended exit from Washington this summer,
fleeing for weeks to the Obamas' traditional summer haven, Martha's
Vineyard.
According to the Boston Globe ,
"Michelle Obama and the children may be on the island for an extended
period." But the president would hardly be suffering by comparison. He
may come up on weekends and then stay for two weeks at the end of the
summer, the Globe reports.
The White House has not commented on the Obamas' vacation plans.

The Obamas are said to be eying a house in Farm Neck on the Vineyard.
If they land there, the president will have easy access to the lovely Farm Neck Golf Club and Cafe . Here's the view from the tee on the third hole.It appears Michelle may be skipping her usual spring excursion overseas, which in the past has included stops at a luxury resort in Spain and in South Africa . Instead, she'll accompany her husband next month on an official trip to Africa .

But not to worry. She already spent two weeks in Hawaii this past winter and jetted out for some Apsen skiing in February.

The Obamas opted out of their annual trip to Martha's Vineyard in
2012, likely because they were campaigning and because a luxury sojourn
there would have conflicted with the campaign image Obama was trying to
project as a fighter for the middle class.

Two men are reportedly heard chanting "Allahu akbar" after an attack that left a man dead.

The murdered man is believed to have been a soldier.
Two attackers filmed their deadly assault on a man in Woolwich, according to Sky sources.

Senior Whitehall sources said the attackers had also asked passers-by to film them, and had shouted "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is great).

A meeting of Cobra - the government-level national emergency response committee - has been convened, the source added.

Home Secretary Theresa May has described the events in Woolwich, south east London, as "sickening."

Sky Home Affairs Correspondent Mark White said: "There has been a concern for some considerable time about the potential for home-grown terrorist groups.

"These kind of attacks do not need to be sophisticated and in many respects the less sophisticated they are, the more easily an attack can be perpetrated."

"These home-grown terrorist cells of very low sophistication can choose insecure targets that do not have any level of security around them by going into crowded places or taking on individuals.

"The concern the police and the security services have is just how to keep an eye on these radicalised individuals who are willing to carry out low-level, unsophisticated attacks like this would seem to have been."

Sky News has learned Prime Minister David Cameron has cut short a trip to Paris to return to London to oversee the response to the attack.

CHILLING SCENES OF HORROR CREATED BY IN AL-QUSAYR AS COWARDS HIDE WITHIN WHOLE FAMILIES DENIED THE RIGHT TO LEAVE THE CITY BY AL-NUSRA

FOREIGN OFFICERS CAUGHT ALIVE FROM FRANCE, ENGLAND, BELGIUM, NETHERLANDS, QATAR AND TURKEY!!

EFFORTS TO RELIEVE THE TRAPPED REBELS IN AL-QUSAYR FAIL MISERABLY AT TAL-KALAKH

Syrian Army regulars cheer their comrades on after completely wiping out the rebels in Al-Haydariyya 3 days ago. They are now in Al-Qusayr to finish the job once and for all.

SEIGED COMMANDERS EXHORT TERRORISTS TO RUSH TO AL-QUSAYR; GEORGE ZABRA SCREAMS INTO MICROPHONES KNOWING NO ONE IS LISTENING; MI INTERCEPTS OF TERRORIST COMMUNICATIONS DEMONSTRATE A ZERO INTEREST IN REINFORCEING AL-QUSAYR.

George Sabra, a/k/a Syria's Captain Kangaroo, and capo di tutti capi of the Syrian National Council, has eructed some speech in Istanbul urging his fighters to "rush" to Al-Qusayr to help the heroic, cowering rebels nestled among the innocent civilians behind whom they are hiding. Sabra, (also spelled "Zabra"), used exhortatory language reminiscent of Mussolini in demanding that they do what is impossible, namely: charge headlong into the arms of our thousands of troops and militia now surrounding the area with a stranglehold so tight neither mouse nor grub can penetrate.

George Sabra, seen here in Paris France.

SyrPer will confirm to you that our forces inside Al-Qusayr have destroyed over 200 tunnels dug by the rodent-moles of the Jabhat Al-Nusra rebels. Inside those tunnels, as we reported yesterday, were some odd customers. Oh, they were not the run-of-the-mill heart-chewing terrorist to whom we have gotten accustomed. No way! These were actual intelligence agents from the following countries: FRANCE, ENGLAND, BELGIUM, HOLLAND, QATAR, TURKEY AND SAUDI ARABIA!!!

The foreign terrorist enablers and intelligence officers are now in Damascus where they will be expected to talk generously. Gosh! We hope Syrian Air Force Intelligence plays a role in this. What a horrorshow!

This FSA Al-NUSRA rebel weeps in an alleyway of Al-Qusayr as the SAA prepares to overrun his position. This photo was taken by fellow rodents who think that the scene will inspire more mercenaries to come to the aid of the cannibals inside this town.

SYRPER CAN CONFIRM THAT THE ISREALI JEEP SEIZED BY SAA CONTAINED ELECTRONIC WARFARE AND INTELLIGENCE EQUIPMENT WHICH IS NOW BEING EXAMINED BY IRANIAN EXPERTS.

SYRPER HAS CONFIRMED THE DEATH OF AL-NUSRA LEADER "WARDAAN AL-ZUHOORI" (A/K/A "ABU 'UMAR ") ON THE BORDER WITH LEBANON . HE WAS A SCOURGE IN THE CITY OFTEN TAKING WOMEN'S JEWELRY AS "RECOMPENSE FOR OUR JIHAD".

DETAILED UP-DATE FROM AL-QUSAYR:

The main groups fighting the SAA in Al-Qusayr are the "Kataa'eb 'Umar Al-Faarooq", "Kataa'eb Al-Waadi", "Kataa'eb Faarooq" and "Ahfaad Al-Sahaabi" (also called "Al-Muhaajiroon) .

The last group is made up of exclusively foreign elements, many from the Arabian countries and Iraq. We know this because their communication system has been compromised and they inevitably announce their titles whenever communicating with other rebels.

With 70% of Al-Qusayr now in SAA hands, the northern part of the city now awaits the cleansing of its homes and streets.

Interestingly, SAA sappers, who are now world-class masters at disabling IEDs, have found hundreds of them installed in cars, homes and streets. The purpose is pretty clear: to kill SAA soldiers as they approach the final goal.

But, SAA MI and engineering corps, have proven themselves very adept at neutralizing points in which remote control operators are situated and then going in to dismantle the IEDs. It's a pretty hair-raising kind of work, but they are the best.

Tunnels in this town were clearly built with Palestinian know-how learned acquired in Beirut and Gaza. The fingerprints of these Palestinian traitors are everywhere, even in the dialect which is heard on occasion during satellite communication.

Wael says that his sources describe a situation typical of insurgencies which cower behind civilians. The terrorist's hiding in the Northern Neighbourhoods are banking, accurately I'm told, on SAA unwillingness to subject the civilian population to heavy bombardment.

This will delay the entry and liberation of these neighbourhoods.

However, it is reported to Wael that families are raising white flags from balconies and begging the army to enter.

It is very frustrating for the SAA.

All sources report an attempt by commanders in Lebanon to send in reinforcements via the Tal-Kalakh corridors.

They failed miserably. From Haalaat, 'Uzayr and 'Uyoon Al-Sha'ra, they tried desperately to enter. All were killed. No wounded. We have no names because their bodies are strewn in areas not considered safe for investigators. Wael reports that 33 were put down by militia, SAA and border police.
