Report: Syria prepared to fire missiles at Tel Aviv

Sunday Times says Assad regime puts advanced surface-to-surface Tishreen missiles on standby with orders to hit Tel Aviv should Israel launch another airstrike. Uzi Rubin, Israel's leading missile expert, told the newspaper that the Tishreen missiles are "extremely accurate and can cause serious harm" -

Syria has put its most advanced missiles on standby with orders to hit Tel Aviv if Israel launches another strike on its territory, The Sunday Times reported overnight Sunday.

According to the British newspaper, reconnaissance satellites have been monitoring preparations by the Syrian army to deploy surface-to-surface Tishreen missiles.
An Israeli official told The New York Times that Israel, which has launched three recent attacks on Syria, was considering further strikes and warned President Bashar Assad that his government would face "crippling consequences" if he hit back at Israel.

The Sunday Times said the deployment of the Syrian-made Tishreen missiles, each of which can carry a half-ton payload, marks a significant escalation of tension "in a region in which the United States and Russia appear to be preparing for a Cold War-style stand-off."
Uzi Rubin, Israel's leading missile expert, told the newspaper that the Tishreen missiles are "extremely accurate and can cause serious harm.

"Even if they don't hit Ben-Gurion (Airport) directly, they would halt all commercial flights out of the country," he said.

An Israeli official told The New York Times last week that Israel, which has reportedly launched three attacks on Syria recently and destroyed advanced anti-aircraft and surface-to-surface missiles that were designated for Hezbollah, was considering additional strikes and warned President Assad that his regime would face "crippling consequences" if he hit back at Israel.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that Russia is continuing to arm Assad's regime and has sent a dozen or more warships to patrol waters near its naval base in Syria, a move that American and European officials have called aggressive, saying it was designed to warn the West and Israel not to intervene in the country's civil war.

Also on Friday, the New York Times reported that Russia has transferred to Syria advanced anti-ship cruise missiles, which threaten Israeli Navy vessels and the Jewish states gas fields located up to 300 kilometers (186 miles) from the coast.
According to the report, Russia has previously provided a version of the missiles, called Yakhonts, to Syria. But those delivered recently are outfitted with an advanced radar that makes them more effective.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Moscow's weapons sales would "not in any way alter the balance of forces in this region or give any advantage in the fight against the opposition."

Syria's Bashar Al-Assad is Winning

by

Mike Giglio

May 17, 2013 4:45 AM EDT

Obama isn't jumping in, and neither is anyone else. Combine that with a
string of military victories, and Assad is looking stronger than he has
in months. Mike Giglio on the dictator's next act.

Despite President Obama's assertion
on Thursday that he reserves "the options of taking additional steps,
both diplomatic and military," foreign intervention in Syria seems a
distant prospect, and that, along with a string of military successes,
has fueled the perception that president Bashar al-Assad now has the upper hand in his country's bloody civil war. As Republican Sen. John McCain bluntly put it this week: "Right now, Bashar al-Assad is winning."

Syrian troops celebrate as they take control of the village of
Haydariyah, some seven kilometers outside the rebel-held city of Qusayr,
on May 13, 2013. Syrian troops captured three villages in the strategic
Qusayr area of Homs province, allowing them to cut supply lines to
rebels inside Qusayr town, a military officer told AFP. (Joseph
Eid/AFP/Getty)

During
the last few months, the Syrian military have retaken strategic areas
across the country, reopening supply lines in the north and south while
ramping up its offensive in the western city of Homs, a critical gateway
between Damascus and the coast. Assad's forces have also reinforced
their strongholds in Damascus and elsewhere while weathering what rebels
had billed as a major offensive in the capital.
Now
Assad-whose impending demise was predicted by opponents both at home
and abroad after rebels brought the war to Damascus and the commercial
capital of Aleppo this summer-seems to be enjoying some unexpected
momentum. On his visit to Washington this week, British Prime Minister
David Cameron said that the idea of the rebels resolving the conflict by
force "is not looking promising."
Cameron
and the Obama administration, meanwhile, have renewed calls for a
diplomatic solution in Syria-showing that despite pressure to act on
Assad's alleged use of chemical weapons, America and its allies "aren't
going anywhere in a rush," says Shashank Joshi of the Royal United
Services Institute in London. "This is the best month has had in
a while," Joshi says. "Undoubtedly, we underestimated his resilience."
But
while Assad's recent success may show his staying power, analysts
tracking the conflict say it also signals that he has scaled back his
goals-from retaking full control of Syria to simply keeping the balance
tilted his way in a brutal and drawn out war.
Assad's
forces have moved "from a counter-insurgency strategy to one that
recognizes that they are in a civil war," says Joseph Holliday, a fellow
at the Institute for the Study of War in Washington, DC and former U.S.
Army intelligence officer. The shift would mean that Assad is
abandoning his bid to crush the rebellion and concentrating instead on
the war's vital fronts-which may have sparked the recent surge in
tactical gains. "The regime just decided to stop contesting parts of the
country," Holliday says. "What they're doing is saying we are going to
focus our resources on areas that are strategically important to us."
Assad
may have the advantage in waging this type of war. While his military
has been badly weakened, it still has the ability to control its
strongholds-and to keep the rebels out-gunned. Assad's two main allies,
Iran and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, have been keeping Assad
well-supplied, with the latter reportedly sending fighters to critical
areas like Homs and the former providing military trainers and arms.
Assad has also reinforced his ranks with paramilitary groups.
The rebels, on the other hand, remain hampered by internal divisions
and unreliable support, which they piece together from private donors
and allies such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar. "It's just not as consistent
or as clear as what the regime is getting from Iran on a daily basis,"
Holliday says. "As this becomes a conflict of warring militias, the
reality is that the regime and its militias are going to be the biggest
ones out there for a very long time."
Some analysts warn that as the war heads down this path, it will become more sectarian-fears that spiked after reports of mass killings
by Assad forces earlier this month in the coastal province of Tartous.
The victims were from the country's Sunni majority; Assad hails from the
Alawite sect, an off-shoot of Shiite Islam that makes up 12 percent of
Syria's population but forms the backbone of his support. Iran and
Hezbollah, both Shiite, see Assad as a bulwark against Sunni influence.
"He's now entering phase two of his campaign," says Michael Weiss, a
Syria analyst and columnist with NOW Lebanon. "A conventional military
campaign is being replaced by an Iranian-funded and trained sectarian
militia, backed by Hezbollah."

"This is the best month has had in a while."

There
are many areas of Syria, Weiss notes, that seem lost to Assad-such as
Aleppo and the northwestern province of Idlib, which borders Turkey and
has been a crucial rebel supply route. "The regime can't 'win' all of
Syria," Weiss says. "But it can and will retake that vital corridor from
Damascus to Homs to the coast to keep a supply-chain running
between the capital and Lebanon, and to keep the ports
and regional airports operational for resupplies from Russia and Iran."
The
Obama administration has argued that a political solution is the best
way to end the conflict-and both America and Russia, which has backed
Assad throughout the uprising, are putting their weight behind a peace
conference to be held in Geneva next month. (A similar conference last
year put forward a peace plan that both sides have ignored.)
The
Syrian opposition has demanded that Assad step down as part of any
negotiated transition. But Amr al-Azm, a professor at Shawnee State
University in Ohio and former adviser to the Syrian government, says
Assad seems intent on forging ahead-and may even be eyeing the
presidential elections scheduled for next year. "Their position is not going to change because the regime's own calculus
has changed," he says. "Six months ago their idea of victory was to
crush the opposition. Now it's probably the survival of Bashar al-Assad
until 2014."

Rep. Ted Vick Dashcam Arrest Video

SOUTH CAROLINA -

Dashcam video shows S.C. Rep. Ted Vick during his second DUI arrest at the State House.

At the start of the video, Vick is shown struggling with an officer Tuesday in a parking garage on the State House grounds. Then an officer takes Vick to the cruiser.

"Brother, take these things off of me," Vick said on the video.

"I wish I could sir," the trooper responded.

"I'm not gonna run anywhere," Vick said. "I'm not gonna beat anybody up, not gonna go anywhere."

The Bureau of Protective Services, which patrols the state capitol, said an officer saw Vick staggering and trying to keep his balance before getting in his car and driving out of the garage.

In the cruiser, Vick continued to speak to the officer, saying "I can't believe I got handcuffs on me in the State House. I hadn't harmed anybody, I hadn't done anything."

At one point, Vick asked about having someone come get him.

"Somebody will come pick me up if you leave my truck right there," Vick said.

"I wish you'd a done that before," the officer responded.

He faces another DUI charge from last May, when he was stopped for speeding in Columbia. That case is still pending.

Vick was released on bond Wednesday. He told reporters he was "innocent until proven guilty." As for claims Vick was staggering, his lawyer told several media outlets that Vick had a rock in his shoe.

Read this
through, it will only take 5 minutes. This will explain why human have
emotional expression, why human are getting weaker, and how the
government is using this to their advantage. How the medical field have
use this to make trillion of dollars. And now that this condition has
worsen, the government's only option is to kill off all mankind before
it get out of hand. This will tell it all. The Human Skull Defect.

First of all, I want you all to take a look at the picture below.

http://img30.imageshack.us/i/19352918.jpg

The
above is a skull of a human, while the one below is of a Gorilla.
Notice the difference between the height of both skulls. Now here's a
picture of a human skull alone including the part of the neck or
cervical vertebrae.

http://img585.imageshack.us/i/91803884.jpg

You can see that I drew a red cross in the middle of the skull indicating
the point where the cervical vertebrae are connected to the skull.
Notice that the red spot is not at the centre of the skull (which is the
center of gravity for the skull). The head structure seems to be "too
high" and the forehead "too wide" in comparison with the middle point.
This to me simply means that our head is not efficiently supported by
our neck muscle. Think of it as we are balancing a "bowling ball" on our
neck. If you were to put this "bowling ball" on a monkey's neck, in the
long term, it too will stand up straight in order to balance this
"ball" effieciently. That's what I think. If you look at women, some of
them have thinner neck muscle which will contribute to osteoporosis.
Although for men, the curve on a women's body seems very attractive but
this occur in order to balance their head, which to me is very unhealthy
for the spine. Here's something to prove my point This is the untouch
picture showing some primates skeleton and also a human skeleton.

http://img191.imageshack.us/i/94798319.jpg

In this picture, I have pasted the upper head of a human skull to the
other primates upper skull in order to show that by doing so it will not
only increase the weight of the skull but also the height of the skull.

http://img808.imageshack.us/i/35210870.jpg

Compare this to a primate head

http://img29.imageshack.us/i/41501970.jpg

As you can see, the primate upper head is well supported by its neck
muscle. The center of gravity is low compared to the human skull which
allows it to easily control its head without much effort. So if you
think logically, due to earth's gravity, there is no way that evolution
will cause the skull to increase in height and eventually became what
human skull is right now. That would be like anti-gravity. So here's the
billion dollars question: Where did human beings came from? Certainly
not from this planet. If so then someone or something must had done
something to altered the biological system inside the human body.

Some of you may say that this is rubbish and that you can move your head
without any problem. In order to move a muscle, we need energy. Energy
comes from our blood which contains glucose from what we eat and oxygen
through our breathing. Let me give you an example; as you are looking at
your computer screen for a period of time you will get tired. This is
because you are simply not breathing in enough oxygen to allow your neck
to support your head. Do you like to eat while you are using the
computer? Now you know. This is also the reason you will find that most
people tend to move their head (up, down, left, right) when they are
talking. Have you ever notice that? I believe this is because our heart
is trying accommodate with the lifting of our head along with our
breatihng. When we look down, we feel relax because our heart don't have
to work as hard to lift our head and we cn breath easier. This is also
the reason why some people seem to be more confident than others, while
others feel nervous all the time. A confident person just has a stronger
neck muscle or the center gravity of their skull is more balanced thus
allowing them to move their head easier than other people without
affecting their breathing. It's that simple. Now, some of you may ask
what significant does all these have to do with you? My answer to this
question is "EVERYTHING". I am confident that it is this defect that
have made human weaker in terms of physical and mental. This also
contributes to the emotional expression that we are displaying today.

http://img202.imageshack.us/i/58740216.jpg

This show the long term effect of such defect. As we get older, our skull
will slowly lean forward due to gravity (the long red arrow shows the
direction in which the skull will slowly fall). Since our brain is
inside the skull and doesn't move, what will happen is it will stretch
the nerves around the brain which runs through our body (the short
double arrows show some of the spots which the stretch will occur).
These include our eyes, ears, mouth, and most importantly our spinal
cord. Now, what will happen if this stretch continues?

For our eyes: Illnesses such as far sighted or near sighted, glaucoma, or in a more severe case - retina tear.

For our ears, the ear drum will be stretched and weak in hearing will
occur.

For our mouth: Ulcer, gum disease(some may find that their gum
bleed easily), sensitive teeth, and tonsillitis, just to name a few.

Here's a picture of a human brain, your brain.

http://imageshack.us/f/26/braincompress.jpg/

http://imageshack.us/f/38/humanbrain2.jpg/

Notice the back of the brain is compressed compared to the front of the brain.
This can only be explained by pressure put on the back of the brain. As
a result the brain itself will no longer be functioning efficiently.
Blood circulation inside the brain will be affected significantly,
causing it to degenerate. This is the reason human kind are unable to
utilize the full potential of the brain.

Not
only that, when the part of the brain which is responsbile for
controlling certain organ in the body was compressed, for instance the
liver. This will cause the liver
to not function efficiently. Thus, cancer may start to develope.

I
also believe that cholesterol is responsible for repairing our nervous
system. As our skull do more damages to our brain and nervous system,
more cholesterol is needed. This is why some people have high level of
cholesterol in their blood. However, high level of cholesterol can
sometimes lead to high blood pressure. But if that person reduces his or
her cholesterol level too much, that person may not have enough
cholesterol to repair the nervous system. This may lead to pain, fever
or even more serious nerves problem such as seizure. You can read more
about this here.
http://www.naturalnews.com/036258_cholesterol_brain_repair_Alzheimers.html

The effect for our spinal cord would be back pain. In a long run, illnesses
such as osteoporosis will start to developed. The reason for this can
be clearly seen with the pictures below

The first picture shows a normal vertebrae if you will. Flexible with
minimum friction. As the human skull fall forward, it will pull the
nerve from the brain all through the spine which can be seen as
illustrated in the second picture. Also, the back muscle will tense up
in order to lift the head and this will also cause harm to the
vertebrae. This is why I am certain that drinking more cows milk will
only increase the weight of our skull and thus accelerate the
development of osteoporosis. Here's the link to prove what I mean.

http://milk.elehost.com/html/osteoporosis.html

Notice that Norway, Holland, Sweden, and Denmark which are countries that
produce large amount of cows milk incidently also have one of the
highest case of osteoporosis in the world.
When the weight of human skull increases, it will put more stress to the heart. This of course is
very bad and will couse heart attack. I REPEAT. NEVER NEVER DRINK COW
MILK IN ANY FORM.

To the brain itself, due to the pressure and
stretching inside the skull, I strongly believe that brain cells will
start to die off resulting in memory loss or Parkinson's disease in
severe cases. Some people may experience headache, fever or even apnea
(sleeping disorder). Between the membrane of the brain and the inner
skull, friction will also occur. As a result it will cause some minor
tissue tear. But because there are no nerves on our brain's membrane
which detect pain, what we will feel is warmness and sometimes fever.
Also, don't forget that the outer layer of the skull is of course our
skin which involves blood arteries and veins. Due to the stretching by
the neck muscle, the skin on our forehead will get thinner, resulting in
blocking of blood supply which leads to baldness in the beginning and
sometimes headache will occur. Look at the picture below and you will
understand what I'm saying.

On the third picture, you can see that due to the "nature" of our skull
structure, our face are being stretched, causing the face pores and
muscles to be tighten and eventually resulting in condition such as acne
and deviated septum. This is also directly responsible for certain
facial expression on our face. It is this stretch and pull of muscles
which result in us having different faces. Most importantly, this
stretch will result in poor blood circulation through out the human
body. Therefore, by constantly massaging the scalp and face area, it
will improve the blood circulation and may prevent certain diseases like
heart attack. Due to this heavy skull of ours, our body will tense up
even if you don't realize it. The nerves from our brain to our spinal
cord will be stretched. Our breathing is significantly affected by this
condition. This have prevented us from breathing properly as you can see
from the picture below.

This has caused our organs to degenerate faster and causing illneses such
as diabetes, cancers, heart disease, kidney failure and etc. This is
even directly causing mental illness to some. Behavior such as bad
temper, extremely emotional and even a long term effect such as
syncophonic. Many allergic such as asthma and sensitive skin can be
prevented if proper breathing technique is practice at the early stage.
Human being are becoming weaker mainly because of this defect which is
preventing us from fully utilizing the potential of our mind. What a
waste.

Here's a simple experiment which you can all do in front of
your computer screen. Sit up straight and put both of your palms on top
of your head. Try to search for the most comfortable spot which you can
hold you head efficiently without much effort. Now gently press down you
head. Use this picture as reference.

http://img718.imageshack.us/i/45029108.jpg

You will find that in less than 5 seconds, your whole body will feel more
relax, your can breathe in more air and feel more alert at the same
time. It will also cool down your body. You may want to try this when
you are feeling tired to feel the effect.

Also,
if you look at the position of praying for certain religions, it can
also help relieve the pain behind the brain. By using both hands to
support the forehead, it reduces the pressure on the back of the brain.
This is why some people feel calm and relax after praying. As you can see from this picture.

As
a chinese myself, I know that China people from long time ago used to
sleep on a pillow made from hard material such as wood or porcelain.

I am certain that this is to "push" the skull back into it's place.

You can read more from this site.
http://www.thegreenlightdistrict.net/blog/2009/09/the-history-of-pillows/
In
this site, it says "In ancient China it was believed the especially
soft pillows robbed the body of vitality and energy. To remedy this,
pillows were fashioned from hard materials.
For more than a millennium, Chinese dynasties used stone, wood, jade,
bronze, bamboo and porcelain for pillows, which were shaped like or
decorated with pictures of animals, plants, humans or even geometric
figures. Among all these pillows, porcelain pillows were
most widely used. Just like other daily-used pillows, porcelain pillows came into
being with the development of porcelain-making crafts."

Many
of you will call this all a bullshit. But ever since I found out about
this which is nearly five years ago, I did not swallow a single
painkiller(not even one paracetamol) or medicine to cure my fever. Not
that I hate medicine but because I didn't have a single fever since.
Even going to the hospital is to bring my family member who is sick. I
have cured my sister's feet allergic problem which she has been
suffering for more than 15 years. You don't have to believe me, I'm just
telling you how it is.

I'm not a doctor or a scientist. What I
am writing here is from my simple observation which I happened to bumped
into just like when Percy LeBaron Spencer discovered microwave. Maybe
this is for a reason. What I do know for sure is there is many lies in
the modern medical field. All because of money? Maybe, but I doubt it's
that simple.

Please take note that I'm not saying that bacteria,
viruses or mutation, etc...don't affect the human health. What I have
mentioned above is due to the "natural" condition of a human body
particulary the skull which contributes to some of the health problem
which we are facing today. Please remember this. To some of you this may
sound a little unreal at this point, but to me this is as true and real
as the water I drank after I finished running a marathon.

by JOHN NOLTE 15 May 2013, 10:26 AM PDT
For months, conservative media has been howling over the falsehood that the Accountability Review Board (ARB) offered a thorough investigation into the September 11 terror attack in Benghazi. The most frustrating part is that in order to ignore the legions of unanswered questions surrounding Libya, Obama and his media (most famously Slate's Dave Weigel , who used the report to say GOP claims of a cover up were "pure fiction") have hid behind the ARB's report as though it were definitive. On Monday, President Obama tried this ruse again. But now that the media has finally woken up from a five-year infatuation, he isn't getting away with it. PolitiFact has labeled as "mostly false," Obama's claim that....

Over the last several months, there was a review board headed by two distinguished Americans, Mike Mullen and Tom Pickering, who investigated every element of

Here is PolitiFact's reasoning:

While the did investigate numerous angles of the security issues, it didn't look at who perpetrated the attack, nor did it probe the administration's public communications afterward. No less an authority than the board's co-chairman undercut Obama's sweeping claim that the board "investigated every element" with repeated comments on three Sunday shows. On balance, we rate Obama's claim Mostly False.

Oh how times have changed. Back in December, Weigel could get away with using the ARB report to falsely claim the Administration had been cleared of a cover up, even though the ARB didn't even look into the possibility of a cover up.

Today, Obama can't even get away with it.

By the way, this is the second falsehood the President of the United States has been caught telling this week.

And it is only Wednesday.

'Extremists' preaching to UK student societiesUniversities have to accommodate a wide range of political views
Continue reading the main storyRelated StoriesCampus radicals 'serious problem' Unis 'must be vigilant on terror' An anti-extremist group claims preachers it describes as radical Islamists have spoken at 180 events at 60 universities in the past year.

Student Rights also said a quarter of the student union society events it scrutinised promoted separate seating for men and women.

The group said some universities failed to uphold gender equality rules.

UK universities say they work closely with student bodies to balance freedom of speech and upholding the law.

But Students Rights claims a new generation of "extremist" speakers are touring campuses to spread their version of Islam.

It defined these as anyone who had made racist or intolerant comments, including incitement to violence or encouraging individuals to look at YouTube clips of terrorist activity.

And it pointed to what it said was an increasingly worrying trend of gender segregation at student Islamic Society events.

'Deeply disturbing'It highlighted 277 events promoted in UK and Irish universities where segregation was alluded to, either directly or through policies stated elsewhere. And 180 of these were on UK campuses.

Six of the events were subsequently cancelled, and two institutions, UCL and the University of Leicester, have since announced investigations into the segregated meetings.

Director of the self-styled campus watchdog Raheem Kassam said: "What we have shown in this report is that gender segregation and discrimination on UK university campuses is not simply an increasing trend, but one that is growing despite universities being aware of the incidents.

"This is a deeply disturbing revelation, as campuses across the country are supposed to be committed to ensuring that students are not discriminated against, be it on the grounds of race, religion, sexuality, gender or otherwise."

He added that university authorities were failing to address these trends.

He said with many of these speakers' views being well-documented, "a little Google search about what these guys are speaking about would not hurt anybody".

'Draw the line'The report urged institutions to communicate repeatedly during the academic year the necessity for student bodies to meet equality and diversity policies.

But Universities UK chief executive Nicola Dandridge said: "Universities are places of critical thinking and vigorous debate, where ideas can be challenged and explored openly. Institutions have a legal obligation to promote free speech, and that may involve allowing controversial, indeed sometimes offensive, opinions to be expressed.

"Where universities can and do draw the line is in preventing speakers who break the law. When illegal behaviour is identified, there is good liaison with the police and security services.

"Universities are gaining more and more experience in handling these issues and have developed guidelines in relation to inviting external speakers. Universities UK issued guidance to all universities on the subject in 2011."

A spokesman for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills said it did not intervene or set guidelines on segregation or extremist teachings on campus.

A Home Affairs Select Committee inquiry last year concluded that while all universities had to be aware of the issue, they found that the focus on universities had itself been disproportionate.

NUS Vice-President for welfare Pete Mercer said he would welcome an open and balanced discussion about gender issues and religion but said it was important that contributions are not hysterical.

"We should note that we're aware of no complaints made by students to universities or students' unions about gender segregation.

"NUS has a long history of supporting women's self-organisation and indeed we've organised an event for Muslim women aimed at empowering them to take leadership roles on campus and in their community. Unfortunately this report appears to conflate events organised for women to meet separately with those where genders are forced to sit separately.

"When events are open to the general public or student population forced segregation is entirely unacceptable, however where the event is closed and all those present have agreed to segregate, they should have the freedom to make that choice.

"A witch-hunt which makes sweeping judgments about student Islamic societies without knowing the details denies the women involved the very equality it claims to wish for them."
