Detectives say they have arrested Antwan Anthony of Bethel, Xavier Shamble of Farmville , and a juvenile who is also from Farmville. They are facing three counts of murder, three counts of first degree kidnapping, three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery. The three were brought in for questioning late last night and were formally charged around 10:00 a.m. The juvenile is in secured custody while the other two are in jail awaiting a first appearance that will be held Thursday morning. According to a Pitt County Schools spokeswoman, the Sheriff's Office informed them that the juvenile suspect is not a student in their school system. 26-year-old Nabil Almoganahi, 24-year-old David Alawi, and 16-year-old Sam Almoganahi were shot and killed at their family owned store off Highway 121 during a robbery. Sheriff Neil Elks says he met with the family to give them the news first on the arrests. Elks says they believe to have the shooter in custody. He said the case was solved thanks to hard police work, community help and tips from CrimeStoppers. Captain Paula Dance says they are still investigating the case. She says all three suspects played active roles in the murders. Dance says the family was grateful to hear of the arrest. 19-year-old Shamble was convicted in October 2011 in Pitt County for selling, buying, or possessing a gun with an altered serial number, and for carrying a concealed weapon. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to eight months in prison. State records show he was released less than a month ago, on March 12. When Shamble was 17 years old, he was shot while sitting on a porch on Myrtle Ave. in Greenville, according to Greenville Police reports. Veldhuizen might take a liking to one of the town's more attractive options in livestock--a goat. Veldhuizen pleaded guilty on Monday to one charge of first-degree animal cruelty for shacking up with the goat. He was sentenced to one month in Whatcom County Jail. Apparently a family member caught Veldhuizen in mid-shag and called sheriff's deputies who came and arrested him. Alexandra Tobias was charged with second-degree murder and received the maximum penalty. Tobias was arrested for shaking her 14 week old son, Dylan Lee Edmondson, to death while she was playing Farmville on Facebook. Before she was sentenced, Tobias pleaded to the judge asking for mercy. Tobias said, "I realize I do deserve consequences, but the death of my son is a life sentence in itself. So could you please consider that I am still young and I have ambitions, potential, hopes and dreams."The judge responded to her statement saying, as a parent, she is responsible for protecting her child, and yet she ended up killing it. The baby's father and other family members were present at the sentencing. The grandfather of the child commented, and expressed how upset they were that they will never get to share memories with their grandson or hear his first words. The baby sitters told police he would get sexually aroused when they cleaned him while changing his diapers, police said. Police said he grabbed the breast of one baby sitter's 18-year-old daughter during an overnight stay in September. Her mother told her "to go back to sleep because he did not know what he was doing," police reported... Prosecutors allege Richardson found his victims from baby-sitting ads placed online at Craigslist. "This bizarre crime is yet another example of the dangers of letting individuals who we meet online into our homes," Oklahoma County Assistant District Attorney Jimmy Harmon said Friday. Richardson was caught when his last baby sitter became suspicious after he stayed repeatedly at her family's home in September. The woman told police her 18-year-old daughter had placed the online ad. She said a man - using the name "David" - called about watching his autistic son, "Alex." The woman said that on that first night she changed his diaper and got him clean clothes. She said she read him a bedtime story because he kicked and screamed when she put him in bed. She reported that during most stays he would not be still when she changed his diapers. "He would get up and run around the house. She would have to catch him to finish putting his diaper back on," police reported. The only thing that would make this story better is if the guy also rode around on a unicycle while juggling bowling pins, demanded that he watch The People's Court, or better yet, convinced the babysitters to attempt to spin straw into gold. He's just one of those people that populates your wall with Farmville and Mafia Land updates. In all honesty, those people don't bother me very much because they are easy to ignore. They are much better than those who post hundreds of pictures of their kids, link to boring videos and leave cheesy vaguebook status updates designed to get attention and make their ex jealous. Hell, even the pictures on Mark's page are kind of boring. I'm not sure what I expected to see, but for a guy who pretended he was autistic so that women would change his diaper, three to four camera phone self portraits and a lo-res picture in front of a car are disappointing.
