Burt was born in Wilmington, Del. on April 13 1941, the son of Harald and Frances Grant Mitchell Robinson. Burt spent 28 years in the Navy and U.S. Air Force in service to his country, during which time he received the Vietnam Service Metal and the Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation/Gallantry for two tours of duty in Vietnam. Burt had a great love and respect for his country, the USA. After an honorable discharge from the service, Burt worked for the Department of Defense at General Dynamics for a number of years, until his retirement in 1996. He made some treasured and lasting friendships while there. After his retirement, he worked as a driver for SSTA. Burt took great pleasure in helping people. He met some wonderful friends there as well. Burt is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jan (Wrisley) Robinson; son, Gary Robinson of N.H.; and two grandsons, Gary Robinson Jr. of Mass., and Dakota Robinson of N.H. Deputy Gene Smith thought it was a prank. hen came the call at 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 2. The rambunctious 'roo was apparently approaching the area around U.S. 301. "Sure enough, there was a kangaroo in the middle of the road ," he says. In his 17 years of service, he says he's never responded to a call like that. For hours, he, along with officers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Pasco County Sheriff's Office Agricultural Unit, tried to wrangle in the five foot, 200 pound kangaroo. Kevin Wehling heard rumors about the kangaroo and wanted to see it for himself. Next thing he knew, he saw it hopping in his direction and says he instantly turned from a spectator into a kangaroo catcher. "I decided if it came my way, I was gonna dive on it," he says. "It was headed toward 301, and I didn't want to see anybody run it over or get in an accident." So Wehling drew from his experience wrangling animals on a farm and went to work. "I bounced it off of a chain link fence and it went to the ground and I decided it wasn't going to get up," he explains. "I was mainly worried about its back legs, and then another deputy jumped on it from there, and it was just a big dog pile after that." The kangaroo was taken to a veterinarian and is now being looked after by someone in the area who knows how to care for them, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. Police responded to AJ's Bar on 11 East Silver Springs Blvd. around 12:45 a.m. early Sunday morning where they found three men with gunshot wounds laying on the sidewalk outside the bar. Two of the men were shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. Another was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Officers say Andrew Joseph Lobban, 31, of Ocala admitted to shooting the men because one of the victims played a prank on him, videotaped it and showed it to the other two victims and they all teased him over it. Lobban told police he had been angry at the men since the incident occurred. He was arrested Sunday morning and will be charged with three counts of First Degree Murder. Officers and a K-9 were able to locate a handgun in a nearby trash can but they have not yet linked the gun to the crime. Two of the victims have been identified as Jerry Lamar Bynes, 20, and Josue Santiago, 25, both of Ocala. The third victim is from Belleview, Fl., but his identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
