Adam Savader, 21, of Great Neck, New York, allegedly threatened to splash nude photos of 15 young women all over the internet if they refused to send additional racy photos to him. Savader has been charged with cyberstalking and extortion through the internet. Federal investigators say that he knew each of his 15 victims, either from high school or college. Authorities say Savader, who worked as a vice presidential operations intern during Romney's 2012 bid for the White House, obtained the photos through hacked accounts that belonged to the women. Many of the women are college students who knew Savader from high school. The victims live in Michigan; Long Island, New York; and Washington, D.C. According to a criminal complaint filed in Michigan, a woman listed as 'Victim 1' called police to report that she had received text messages from a person who said his name was 'John Smith.' He claimed that he had nude photos of her and that he would send them to her family if she didn't send more. He then sent her a link to a Photobucket.com account, where she was stunned to find a a photo of herself intended for a former boyfriend, but never posted on the internet. It is alleged that Savader obtained the photos by hacking into her AOL email account and taking stealing the photos. The affidavit says that in another text, 'John Smith' asked her a series of personal questions about her sexual preference and preferred sexual positions. He also informed her that he was masturbating to her photos. In other cases, Savader allegedly threatened his victims, telling one: 'I swear to god don't be stupid. You don't want every1 (sic) including your parents seeing your t*** a** and p****.' Savader is now in custody after appearing in New York federal court on Tuesday. He appears with numerous politicians in photos posted to his Facebook account, including Newt Gingrich (whom he also worked for), Rep Michelle Bachmann and Sen Al Franken. His attorney, Michael Shoshnick, told the New York Daily News : 'I've known Adam his entire life and he has never behaved in a way that would lead me to believe these allegations are true.' They call their practice "Robin Hooding," and in just over four months, the group claims to have spared motorists more than 2,000 tickets in the city of some 23,000. "It's my philosophy," said Cleaveland, 26, a member of a group called Free Keene, which subscribes to the libertarian principle of smaller government. "I could go talk to the city council at every meeting but to me, actions speak louder than words. I can go out and try to save people and reduce the number of tickets." The southern New Hampshire city's government does not share Cleaveland's view. This month it filed suit in state court against him and five others seeking a restraining order to keep them at least 50 feet from parking enforcement officers. The suit accuses Cleaveland and five others of videotaping, taunting and intimidating its parking meter personnel. The alleged behavior includes chasing officers on bicycles, shouting insults and accusing them of stealing people's money. One officer became so stressed that he complained of heart palpitations and began having nightmares about the group, according to court papers. "It's affecting the employees and it's taking a lot of time and energy to deal with it, and so the city's intent was to try to establish some clear boundaries and a little breathing room," said James Duffy, a member of the Keene City Council. "We're not saying you can't complain about the meters or plug them, it's just how that's done." Cleaveland has vowed to continue. He said he knows each parking attendant by name. "I don't follow them home or try to find them off duty," he said. "They always use the excuse 'I'm just doing my job.' I always say 'I'm just doing my activity too.'" Calling card The Free Keene movement is part of the Free State Project, a group that has sought to get 20,000 libertarians to settle in New Hampshire, a state already known for its limited government and which has no sales or income tax. The Keene chapter's prior actions included publicly smoking marijuana in the city's central square to protest drug laws, and holding a protest against gun restrictions that featured a half-nude woman armed with a holstered handgun walking through downtown. Cleaveland's compatriot Garrett Ean, 24, said he feeds meters up to five days a week in three- to four-hour shifts during the 8am to 5pm period when motorists must pay to park downtown. He said he spends less than $15 a day since some of Keene's meters cost as little as 10 cents for 30 minutes of parking. Like Cleaveland, he leaves a card on the windshield of each "saved" car that says: "Your Meter Expired! However we saved you from the king's tariff! - Robin Hood &amp; The Merry Men." Superintendent Paul Young, who's listed as a police adviser in Canada's Permanent Mission to the United Nations , is taking his bosses to court over their decision to recall him from the New York post. Young contends the penalty - loss of his prestigious posting in the Big Apple - is disproportionate to the infraction, especially compared with lighter sanctions imposed on other Mounties in what appear to be more egregious cases. His argument, in essence, seems to be, why are you picking on me? Canada's Mounties say they will root out sexual harassment ] "I could easily name quite a few serving senior officers of the RCMP who have engaged in intimate sexual relationships with co-workers and/or colleagues from other federal departments and who were never subjected to a Code of Conduct investigation, let alone a suspension," Young's Ottawa lawyer, Louise Morel, wrote in a letter to the RCMP filed as part of the case in the Federal Court, the Citizen reported. The letter to Young's superior, Supt. Barbara Fleury, director general of international policing, lists several cases where RCMP officers received lesser penalties for sexual misconduct. The list included an Alberta officer who, when driving a civilian woman, "unbuttoned his shirt and displayed his nipple rings. He then engaged in inappropriate conduct and sexual touching with the female," the Citizen said. The Mountie also sent the woman nude photos of himself. He was reprimanded and docked 10 days pay. Another Alberta Mountie also got off with a reprimand and lost four days pay for having sex with another officer while in uniform and in a marked police vehicle, according to Morel's list. Morel may be right, but looking at the wider context and timing of this case might offer a clue as to why the RCMP brass dropped the hammer on Young. The force has been wrestling with a huge image problem over its handling of sexual harassment cases. Dozens of women, including present and former female Mounties, have joined a class-action lawsuit against the RCMP over what's seen as a systemic problem within the organization's culture. Commissioner Bob Paulson, who took over as the top Mountie in 2011, promised publicly to root out the bad apples and reform the internal disciplinary process that often ended in a wrist slap for offenders. So when a complaint was filed last year against Young, a high-ranking Mountie, you have to wonder if the penalty he received was aimed at sending a message. Young's paramour was an intelligence analyst who worked with him on the Afghanistan desk at RCMP headquarters in Ottawa, the Citizen said, citing a statement Young submitted during the disciplinary process. The 31-year RCMP veteran had served in Kabul as a police adviser in 2008 and was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder related to his experiences, including a bomb that went off outside his office. He was having trouble reconnecting with his family and the co-worker had been a "friendly ear," Young said. They began a casual affair that was limited to four encounters, he said.
