Conform or die.
Most of us knew these nutjobs felt like this. They just wouldn't say it out loud. Unless it was anonymously on the internet where they happily tell you to go kill yourself for having an air conditioner or gasoline powered car. All the while they have air conditioners and gasoline powered cars, but they 'care', so it's different. Now the 10:10 climate change campaign in the UK is providing more motivation for nutjobs like the Discovery Channel shooter to go on bloody rampages.

Rep. Nita Lowey (D-NY) urged on her fellow members of Congress on Thursday to pass "common sense' legislation to protect people and law enforcement . She spoke about the need for passage of the "Stop Online Ammunition Sales Act" as a first step in regulating ammo sales to private citizens. The congresswoman said in light of two recent mass-shootings -- one in Aurora, Colorado, the other in Oak Creek, Wisconsin -- there is a need to control the number of boxes of ammo being sold to private citizens.

Anxious citizens have been purchasing larger than usual amounts of ammo since 2008 anticipating a change in the laws and regulations of ammunition and ammo purchases, according to the Internet organization Ammo Alert in a Facebook entry on Aug. 8, 2012.

Overall, ammunition manufacturers have reported their factories are producing ammunition at record rates and keeping their facilities operating 24/7. Yet, they still cannot keep up with the demand for bullets for everything from handguns to hunting rifles.

Gun store owners and manufacturers claim they have never seen such a drastic shortage in ammunition. "I haven't witnessed such a situation in all my years as a gun owner, hunter and cop," said Edna Aquino, a New York police officer and shooting instructor.

"I'm hearing from fellow shooters that they are stockpiling ammunition these days because they are afraid of what they're seeing in this country," she said. "There is fear that the so-called gun-control establishment may target ammunition purchases rather than guns," she added.

In addition to the problem of ammunition scarcity, gun owners must contend with rising prices making it more costly to visit firing ranges. There are even retailers who are limiting the number of boxes a buyer may purchase. As a result, buyers are searching for gun stores that will allow them to purchase cases of ammo to be stockpiled in their homes, according to gun rights experts. Others are turning to the Internet so they're not limited to one geographic area for their purchases, they say.

Why are Americans scrambling to purchase guns and ammunition in record numbers? Many say it's their fear of the political climate in the United States.

Jan Norton, a teacher in New Jersey and lifelong target shooter, believes that ammo sales started climbing when a report issued by the Homeland Security Department identified pro-life, pro-gun, anti- government Americans as potential terrorists .

"While the Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano backed away from that report, there are others who've contributed to increasing the fears of law-abiding citizens who happen to have conservative or libertarian political views," she said.

In an unclassified report entitled "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," Napolitano and her agency included the following description of extremists:

"Right-wing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."

Also, according to gun-policy expert John Snyder, US Congressman Alcee Hastings' (D-FL) continues to push his amendment to the National Defense Authorization bill which will prohibit the recruitment, enlistment, or retention of persons with known affiliations to "groups determined by the Attorney General to be of a violent, extremist nature."

The Hastings Amendment confers upon the Attorney General the ability to categorize groups as hate groups, and this sounds an alarm for many Americans because of the recent shocking and offensive report released by the Department of Homeland Security which labeled, arguably, a majority of Americans as "extremists."

Ammunition manufacturers believe that once gun owners believe they've purchased a sufficient amount of ammo, there will be more to go around. However, the solution to ammo shortages is merely a symptom of a much larger problem: a distrust of all branches of government , claims Michael Baker, an attorney and political consultant.----

A MEDIUM-sized dog has the same carbon impact as a Toyota Land Cruiser driven 6,000 miles a year, a new book claims.

Time To Eat The Dog: The Real Guide To Sustainable Living also suggests a cat is equivalent to running a Volkswagen Golf.

The findings are based on the amount of land needed to grow food for pets.

Even a pair of hamsters do the same damage as running a plasma television, say the book's authors Robert and Brenda Vale.

But rabbits and chickens were eco-friendly because they provide meat for their owners, while a canary or a goldfish does little harm to the planet, the authors said.

Not written by me!

Below are the Rules for Liberal Nutjobs. These rules are ONLY to be used by liberals who are idiots. Liberals who are intelligent and sensible are NOT to use these rules. Use of them by sensible liberals constitutes moving to the far left nutjob category.

Here are rules for liberals to live by:

1. Accept nothing negative about obama, regardless of truth.

2. Support anything positive about obama, even if it is completely false.

3. Get your news and information ONLY from Keith Olberman, MSNBC and Jon "Liebowitz", aka Jon Stewart.

4. Whenever presented facts about obama, counter immediately with your own comments about the Jewish guy, Yabbut Bush.

5. Under NO circumstances debate obamas actual policies, decisions and comments. You can NOT win. Change the subject as quickly as you can. See #4.

6. Pretend that Tony Rezko, Rev Wright, Bill Ayres only exist in republicans' imagination and are not actually real people.

7. NEVER question anything that comes from the golden lips of obama or his minions.

8. Question EVERYTHING a republican says and NEVER bother youself with checking the factuality of such comments.

9. Change the normal name for everything to make it fit the liberal agenda. Example: earmarks are now called "projects" and terrorism is now called "man caused disasters"

10. When any conservative says or does anything, find any parallels to any other thing any other conservative has said or done and find any way to tie them together. Use complete idiocy if necessary. Also, when any conservative says anything at all, accuse ALL conservatives of focusing entirely on that one point.

11. When any liberal says or does anything, it is to be treated as completely separate incidents. In NO way are you to connect any action or words to any previous action or words, even if it is the same liberal saying or doing it.

12. If all else fails, loudly call names such as neocon, scum and fucktard to divert attention away from the actual issue.

MOST IMPORTANT! The truth is not on the liberal agenda. Dodge the truth in any way that you can. The liberal agenda is SOLEY interested in being obama yes men.

This should make it easier for all you liberals.

California Vineyards Going to Vanish According to Global Warming Nutjobs

California's farms and vineyards could vanish by the end of the century, and its major cities could be in jeopardy, if Americans do not act to slow the advance of global warming, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu said Tuesday.

In his first interview since taking office last month, the Nobel-prize-winning physicist offered some of the starkest comments yet on how seriously President Obama's cabinet views the threat of climate change, along with a detailed assessment of the administration's plans to combat it.

Chu warned of water shortages plaguing the West and Upper Midwest and particularly dire consequences for California, his home state, the nation's leading agricultural producer.

In a worst case, Chu said, up to 90% of the Sierra snowpack could disappear, all but eliminating a natural storage system for water vital to agriculture.

"I don't think the American public has gripped in its gut what could happen," he said. "We're looking at a scenario where there's no more agriculture in California." And, he added, "I don't actually see how they can keep their cities going" either.

A pair of recent studies raise similar warnings. One, published in January in the journal Science, raised the specter of worldwide crop shortages as temperatures rise. Another, penned by UC Berkeley researchers last year, estimated California has about $2.5 trillion in real estate assets -- including agriculture -- endangered by warming.

Chu is not a climate scientist. He won his Nobel for work trapping atoms with laser light. He taught at Stanford University and directed the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he reoriented researchers to pursue "clean energy" technologies to help reduce the use of greenhouse-gas-emitting fossil fuels in the U.S., before Obama tapped him to head the Energy Department.

He stressed the threat of climate change in his Senate confirmation hearings and in a video clip posted on Obama's transition website, but not as bluntly, nor in as dire terms, as he did Tuesday.

In the course of a half-hour interview, Chu made clear that he sees public education as a key part of the administration's strategy to fight global warming -- along with billions of dollars for alternative energy research and infrastructure, a national standard for electricity from renewable sources and cap-and-trade legislation to limit greenhouse gas emissions.

He said the threat of warming is keeping policymakers focused on alternatives to fossil fuel, even though gasoline prices have fallen over the last six months from historic highs. But he said public awareness needs to catch up. He compared the situation to a family buying an old house and being told by an inspector that it must pay a hefty sum to rewire it or risk an electrical fire that could burn everything down.

"I'm hoping that the American people will wake up," Chu said, and pay the cost of rewiring.

Environmentalists welcomed the comments as a sharp break from the Bush administration, which often minimized research about global warming.

"To say the least, it's a breath of fresh air," said Bernadette Del Chiaro, who directs the clean air and global warming program for Environment California. "We've been worried about the impacts of global warming for years, even decades. He's absolutely right -- California stands to lose so much in our way of life."

Global warming skeptics were not swayed. "I am hopeful Secretary Chu will take note of the real-world data, new studies and the growing chorus of international scientists that question his climate claims," Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), the top Republican on the Environment and Public Works Committee, said in a statement. "Computer model predictions of the year 2100 are simply not evidence of a looming climate catastrophe."

Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock, the Republican candidates who
made off-the-cuff remarks about rape and abortion, have both been
defeated, destroying their party's hopes of taking control of the
Senate. Akin, who lost to incumbent Claire McCaskill in Missouri ,
was abandoned by his party after he made his notorious "legitimate
rape" comments in August. The six-term congressman from suburban St
Louis and a staunch pro-lifer, told a television interviewer who asked
about his abortion stance: "If it's a legitimate rape, the female body
has ways to try to shut that whole thing down."Until that point,
McCaskill was considered one of the most vulnerable Democratic incumbent
senators because of her links to Barack Obama in a state that has
leaned heavily to the right in recent national elections.Immediately
after the result was called on Tuesday night, Jason Whitman, the GOP
chairman, expressed his frustration at Akin in a tweet, which read: I
just want to say a quick thank you to @ToddAkin for helping us lose the
senate"Akin's remarks, at odds with basic biology as well as
introducing the notion that rape was a crime on a sliding scale, caused
widespread offence among Republicans and Democrats alike. In Indiana ,
Mourdock, a Tea Party favourite who beat veteran incumbent Richard
Lugar in the Republican primary, was initially tipped to win in the
state, but he too lost ground after overstepping the line when talking
about abortion and rape. He said that pregnancy resulting from rape is
"something that God intended to happen."The Republican party, who
believed it would be impossible for Akin to beat McCaskill after the
controversy, withdrew campaign funding and leaders, including Mitt
Romney and Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell called on him to step
down in time for the party to name a replacement. Missouri has long been
considered to be an important seat for Republicans if they are to win
the Senate. But Akin refused and, with a band of mostly Christian
conservative supporters, portrayed himself as an anti-establishment
figure. When the national Republican senatorial committee and
Crossroads for America, an influential Super Pac, withdrew funding, Akin
began an online campaign for donations and found support from prominent
Republicans, including former presidential candidates Newt Gingrich.
Mick Huckabee and Rick Santorum.Akin's campaign concentrated on
McCaskill's close ties with Obama, her support of the healthcare law and
the 2009 fiscal stimulus and her family's links to federal money. McCaskill
featured video clips of Akin expressing opposition to the federal
minimum wage and to the federal government's role in issuing student
loans, which he had cited as an example of how the government suffers
from "the equivalent of stage three cancer of socialism."In
Indiana, the incumbent, Richard Lugar, had 87% of the vote when he won
his sixth term in 2006, but he lost the seat he had held for almost four
decades in a primary challenge earlier this year to Mourdock, the State
Treasurer and a Tea Party favourite.Mourdock began the contest
with momentum from his win over Lugar, but he slipped in the polls after
he said he did not support a woman's right to abortion in the case of
rape. He was also damaged by Lugar's refusal to involve himself in the
campaign."I believe that life begins at conception," Lugar said,
in a televised debate with Donnolly in October. "The only exception I
have to have an abortion is in that case of the life of the mother. I
just struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize
life is that gift from God - that I think even if life begins in that
horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to
happen."His comments, attracted widespread criticism from both
sides, including President Barack Obama and prominent Republicans. Mitt
Romney distanced himself from Mourdock's comments but did not withdraw
his endorsement of him.Mourdock stood by his comments,
apologising only for people misinterpreting them. But the most recent
polls this week and last showed his opponent gaining ground.Donnelly,
who ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, also holds conservative
views on abortion. He supports legal abortion only in the case of rape,
incest or when the life of the mother is in danger.
