Five members of The Panic Hour were followed into the City Hall rail station in Center City Philadelphia. Kyle Prouty was illegally searched and detained by SEPTA police officer Nicole Lawson at 3:20pm on 5/20/13. Kyle was charged with "disorderly conduct" "obstructing a highway and other public passage" and "resisting arrest". About a minute before this happened, Mike informed the officer that she had a glove or something sticking out of her hat. The officer asked Mike what he said and he repeated himself. The officer then asked Mike if he wanted to "be arrested for disorderly conduct". Mike responded with why and the officer quickly turned her attention to Kyle for some reason. The people in this video had just left an arraignment hearing for Adam Kokesh and Nikki Allen Poe who were kidnapped from a peaceful marijuana rally on 5/18/13. They are currently being held illegally in Federal Detention at the Federal Detention Center 700 arch street Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

May 16th, 2013 Philadelphia -- Internet celebrity "Kai the Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker" has been arrested in the murder of a Clark, New Jersey man.

The suspect Caleb Lawrence McGillvary was captured by Philadelphia Police at the Greyhound Bus station in Philadelphia.

The 24-year-old Internet celebrity is well known on Facebook and YouTube as "Kai the Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker."

McGillvary gained fame online for his intervention in a Feb. 1 attack in Fresno, California. He was riding with a man who drove into a utility worker. The Fresno Bee reported that McGillvary pulled a hatchet from his backpack and struck the driver in the head after he confronted the Pacific Gas & Electric worker.

McGillvary is homeless but considers himself "homefree" and relies on the generosity of strangers for food, lodging and transportation.

He is also known as Kai Lawrence, Caleb Kai Lawrence and Kai Nicodemus.

The victim, Joseph Galfy, was found inside his home on Starlite Drive on Monday after officers received a call to check on his well-being.

An autopsy performed the following day determined that Galfy died as a result of "blunt force trauma", according to Union County Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.

Investigators said Kai met the attorney near Times Square, and a surveillance camera captured images of them. The men later went back to the victim's house, officials said.

A post was made to his Facebook page on Tuesday in which Kai claims he was raped by the man.

Kai later reached out to some fans in South Jersey, who took him to a train station. He claimed to be headed to Philadelphia and then to Georgia.

Based on the investigation, authorities know that McGillvary has cut his hair in an attempt to alter his appearance.

Before his arrest, he had last seen at a light rail station in the Haddonfield, N.J. area, said Romankow.

The Union County Homicide Task Force is working with local, state, and Federal officials to locate McGillvary. He is charged with murder in Union County and bail has been set at $3 million by Superior Court Judge Stuart Peim.

"I am grateful for the overwhelming response and dedicated effort by the public and law enforcement that led to this arrest," said Romankow. "I believe that everyone is a little safer with this person off the streets."

Death Threats Against Man Who Supposedly Planted Drugs On Adam Kokesh

During the last couple of days since the Arrest of Agent Provocateur Adam Kokesh a lot of his followers have come out issuing death threats to Don DeZarn who supposedly planted drugs on Kokesh during the 5th Smoke Down event in Philadelphia this year.

It has now been admitted (even by Kokesh's own Facebook and himself) that Don De Zarn has it fact not planted any drugs on him and neither did he attempt to.

Kokesh is being charged with resisting arrest since he remained in a stiff body position while continuing to incite attendees o the smoke down rallye to 'break the law' and smoke in front of the police. Only a few months ago, Kokesh had to retract publicly from a statement he made concerning his opinion that ordinary citizens should kill police officers who may be taking away their guns. Kokesh still plans to organize an armed march through Washington D.C on July 4th, a clear violation of Washington State laws.

Here is an explanation video from Don De Zarn

Huge response shuts down City's ex-offender job fair

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The City of Philadelphia shut down a career fair for ex-offenders today after an unexpected crowd of thousands showed up, resumes in hand. There were lots of disappointed job seekers and potential employers this morning.

The city was expecting about 1,000 people to show up, but about three times that number were standing in a line that wrapped around the Municipal Services Building, across from City Hall. And when someone jumped the line, order collapsed.

There was no yelling, no shoving - just 3,000 people all trying to get into the job fair at once.

Everett Gillison, the deputy mayor for public safety, says the space designated for the event could not handle the crowd, so they closed it down shortly after it began. "We took as many resumes as we could," he told KYW Newsradio afterward, "but those that did not have resumes, we told them we were going to reschedule. And we are going to reschedule it for the Convention Center." Of course there was frustration.

"People want jobs," said one man. "In the city right now, with jobs it's just ridiculous trying to find one. It's almost impossible." "It's really hard out here," another man said. How long had he been trying to get work? "At least two years now."

Gillison says 25 employers were on hand for today's event. Last year, he said, 1,000 people showed up and 435 people got jobs, so this year they advertised through "partners." Then, Gillison says, it got on social media and snowballed.

Hero Police Officer Charged With Holding 2 Women Captive

A former Philadelphia Police Officer with a checkered past is in trouble with the law again.

Law enforcement sources say Richard DeCoatsworth was arrested on Saturday after he allegedly held two women captive inside his home.

Police raided DeCoatsworth's house on Almond Street and Somerset around 6:30 a.m., according to sources. DeCoatsworth was allegedly holding two women against their will. According to sources, DeCoatsworth held both women captive for several days at gunpoint.

He was arrested Saturday morning following the raid and is currently in custody. Police have not yet revealed the specific charges against him or the conditions of the two women.

DeCoatsworth is best known for an incident in 2007 when he was a rookie officer in which he was shot in the face. DeCoatsworth managed to chase down the suspect for several blocks before collapsing. He called in enough information by radio that police were able to track down and arrest the suspect later the same day.

His heroism earned him an invitation from Vice President Joe Biden to attend President Obama's first congressional address at the U.S. capital in February of 2009. The officer sat with First Lady Michelle Obama during the address. He was also honored by his peers as a 2008 Top Cop.
He was involved in two more dramatic incidents soon after.

In April of 2009, police say DeCoatsworth was jumped and attacked by a man when he tried to disperse a crowd at the Logan section of the city. During the struggle, sources say DeCoatsworth's gun went off and hit the suspect who took off running. Another officer responding to the scene shot the suspect dead, according to sources.

In September of 2009, police say DeCoatsworth and another officer stopped a man on a motorcycle in the Kensington section of the city. While they were questioning him, a second man allegedly jumped on the motorcycle and drove at the officers. Police say DeCoatsworth shot at the suspect, who sped off. The suspect was found later at the hospital where his mother had taken him to be treated for a shotgun wound.

During the incident, local witnesses claimed the two suspects did nothing wrong and that DeCoatsworth and the other officer acted recklessly, shooting while children were nearby.

In November of 2011, Internal Affairs investigated an alleged scuffle between DeCoastworth and another officer, according to Philly.com. The Daily News also reports he amassed nine citizen complaints, accusing him of assault, abuse and misconduct.

DeCoatsworth retired from the police force on disability back in December, 2011.

In February of 2012, an arrest warrant was issued for DeCoatsworth after he allegedly threatened a woman in Port Richmond.

Jurors return to federal court in Philadelphia on Tuesday to hear arguments and evidence on whether a drug dealer convicted in the deaths of a dozen people should be sentenced to death or to life in prison without possibility of parole.

The panel last week convicted 38-year-old Kaboni Savage of the slayings, including a 2004 firebombing that killed six relatives of a man who was planning to testify against him. Court officials said penalty phase proceedings scheduled for Monday would be delayed a day.

Authorities said that although Savage has mostly been in prison since 2003, he gave orders through phone calls and prison visits and communicated with other inmates through prison plumbing pipes.

His 30-year-old sister, Kidada Savage, faces life in prison after being convicted in the firebombing the killed the mother of the prospective witness as well as another woman and four children.

Kaboni Savage, a former boxer who has denied any role in the attacks, is serving a 30-year drug trafficking sentence. Defense attorneys portrayed him as a drug dealer but not a kingpin and attacked the credibility of prosecution witnesses.

Co-defendant Steven Northington was convicted of two counts of murder in aid of racketeering and could face the death penalty in penalty phase deliberations.

Another defendant, 32-year-old Robert Merritt, was convicted of racketeering conspiracy but acquitted of charges in the firebombing.
