Gang of Eight Quislings member Lettuce McCain loves importing them so much, he is inspired to song.

DEM. SENATOR BLAMES TORNADO ON REPUBLICANS

On Monday, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) used the devastating Oklahoma tornado as an excuse to bash Republicans for denying global warming and implied Republicans were responsible for actually allowing the destructive natural disaster to occur. "So, you may have a question for me," Whitehouse said on the Senate floor. "Why do you care? Why do you, Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, care if we Republicans run off the climate cliff like a bunch of proverbial lemmings and disgrace ourselves? I'll tell you why. We're stuck in this together. We are stuck in this together."

After blaming natural disasters in Oklahoma, Alabama, and Texas on global warming and Republicans, Whitehouse continued his rant by criticizing the Republicans he blamed for then asking the government for federal aid dollars.

"When cyclones tear up Oklahoma and hurricanes swamp Alabama and wildfires scorch Texas, you come to us, the rest of the country, for billions of dollars to recover," he said, according to the Daily Caller. "And the damage that your polluters and deniers are doing doesn't just hit Oklahoma and Alabama and Texas. It hits Rhode Island with floods and storms. It hits Oregon with acidified seas, it hits Montana with dying forests. So, like it or not, we're in this together."

He continued, "You drag America with you to your fate."

Whitehouse then said he wanted a Republican Party that "returned to its senses" and was a strong and "worthy adversary in a strong America that has done right by its people and the world."

"I don't want a Republican Party disgraced, that let its extremists run off the cliff, and an America suffering from grave economic and environmental and diplomatic damage because we failed, because we didn't wake up and do our duty to our people, and because we didn't lead the world," Whitehouse said. "I do not want that future. But that's where we're headed."

As families across Oklahoma were suffering, politics was what was first and foremost on Whitehouse's mind.

IGNORING TREASON AND THE CONSTITUTION

FACT:
This administration which was twice elected in part through fraud has
repeatedly violated the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution. These
incidents have been covered at length in prior commentaries.

FACT: Congress thus far has done nothing about these heinous crimes
against the security of the United States, its citizens, and our
founding documents but hold committee hearings.

The Democrat-controlled Senate is obstructive and culpable for not
adhering to the rule of law and enforcing the Constitution. The lame
street press has willfully ignored and even tried to divert attention
from facts which attest to the cover-up which have been perpetuated by
the Administration.

The specifics include the following most egregious (but by no means all) violations:

1. Election fraud and manipulation in 2008 and 2012 including ACORN's
involvement in the 2010 census, conveyance of funds to ACORN by the
Administration in blatant disregard for Congressional deauthorization of
such funding due to proven fraud, and the DOJ's unwillingness to
prevent tyranny at polling places by groups such as the New Black
Panthers. And these are just a few examples.

2. Criminal misuse of taxpayer TARP funds for political payback.

3. Willful disregard for enforcement of existing Federal immigration laws and our borders.

4. 'Fast and Furious' gunrunning to Mexican drug cartels, known by the
DOJ, as a ploy to eventually wage war against our Second Amendment
rights.

5. Disregard for DOMA which IS Federal law passed by the Congress under President Clinton.

6. Passage of the NDAA which does not prohibit Obama's Secretary of
Defense and Secretary of State from denying Americans their basic
constitutional rights of habeas corpus and posse Comitatus.

7. Aiding and abetting our enemies through security leaks to the New
York Times and Islamic groups resulting in the deaths of Navy SEALS
shot down over Pakistan, and imprisonment of a doctor who was an
informant leading to Bin Laden's supposed death.

8. Appointment of unconstitutional Czars to administer Obama's ideology
of destruction of American liberties and federal government control of
the American people in all ways possible---Obamacare; EPA targets of
industry and private citizens; tax schemes to enrich the powerful elite;
holding a corrupt United Nations agenda of universal control and
tyrannical laws above the U.S. Constitution (specifically regarding our
Second Amendment rights and energy security).

9. Benghazi: Supplying Islamic groups with weapons to overthrow their
regimes (the 'Arab Spring') while ignoring the safety of our military
and CIA officials resulting in their deaths at the hands of Islamic
terrorists---then conducting a massive ATTEMPTED cover up of Obama's
real agenda which was to place his reelection as a priority over the
safety of Americans, while imprisoning someone who produced an
irrelevant and unknown video as the scapegoat for the Admininstration's
agenda (and he still has not been released!).

10. Violating the First Amendment through IRS abuse of citizens and businesses based on their political views.

11. Spying on the AP thereby illegally threatening the freedom of the press.

FACT: A partial list of those guilty either directly or indirectly of
treasonous, unconstitutional, and/or unlawful actions include

Hillary Clinton;

Susan Rice;

Eric Holder and certain DOJ officials;

the IRS commissioner and his abusive underlings;

Admiral Mullins and Thomas Pickering (Benghazi coverup);

Kathleen Sebelius;

Janet Napolitano;

WH spokesman Jay Carney (the liar);

any Senators and other Administration officials knowledgeable about but
ignoring any or all of the above encroachments on the rule of law and
the Constitution.

In conclusion, America is now governed by TYRANNY without a peep from
the lame street media which is complicit. The Obama administration and
its anti-American criminal allies must go! Congress must make it happen
or We the People must follow our Constitution to preserve the
Republic.

Cuomo threatens sheriffs

NY Governor Cuomo threatens sheriffs who speak against gun control measures

The sheriffs thought they were being summoned to the Capitol to
discuss ideas for changes to New York's gun control law, the SAFE Act.
Instead, Gov. Andrew Cuomo told them to keep quiet.

Opposition to the new law has simmered in upstate areas since Cuomo
signed the law in January. Many county sheriffs oppose it, particularly
its expanded definition of banned assault weapons, and have spoken out
around the state. In January, the New York State Sheriffs' Association
wrote Cuomo with an analysis, and later suggested tweaks.

Cuomo invited its leaders to the Capitol last month, people briefed on
the meeting said. The group included Sheriffs' Association Executive
Director Peter Kehoe and Chemung County Sheriff Christopher Moss.

"We didn't get a response (to the analysis) from him, but we could tell
after the budget was passed that none of those recommendations were
taken into consideration," Moss said. "When we got there, we never got
to the contents of the letter."

Instead, Cuomo pushed the sheriffs to stop publicly speaking out against the act, Moss said.

"The governor was of the opinion that the sheriffs around the state
should not be interjecting their personal opinions in reference to the
law," Moss said, adding that Cuomo said sheriffs can't do that and
enforce the law.

One person briefed on the meeting said Cuomo threatened to remove
sheriffs from office, a little-used power afforded the state's chief
executive under the state constitution. Moss would not confirm this. He
did say the meeting was heated at times, but overall he described it as
"cordial."

Kehoe did not return calls, and Cuomo spokesman Rich Azzopardi declined
to comment. An administration official, speaking anonymously because he
was not authorized to discuss a private meeting, "strongly" denied Cuomo
had threatened to remove any sheriff.

Last week, the Sheriffs' Association as well as several elected sheriffs
filed an amicus curiae brief supporting a federal challenge to the SAFE
Act.

"We're not really protesting the law; we're protesting the methodology
in which the law was forced upon the people without input of the
people," said Livingston County Sheriff John York, a Republican who
chairs the group's executive committee.

Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard has said he "won't enforce" the act.

Cuomo has said the law will "save lives."

The law broadened the definition of banned assault weapons, increased
penalties for illegal gun possession, reduced public access to gun
permit information and required mental health professionals to report
concerns about a gun-owning patient who posed a risk of harming himself
or others. It bans any magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10
rounds, and bars people from loading magazines with more than seven
cartridges.

The bill was unveiled on Jan. 14 and passed through a "message of
necessity" that waived a three-day waiting period. The Senate, led by a
Republican-dominated coalition, passed the bill by a 43-18 vote hours
after the text became public. The Democrat-dominated Assembly passed it
the next day, and Cuomo signed it.

In the amicus brief, the sheriffs wrote: "Law enforcement's work is made
more difficult attempting to enforce unclear laws that harm, rather
than promote, public safety. The laws appear willfully blind to
legitimate safety interests, and instead are tailored to impact, and
negatively impact, law-abiding firearm owners."

Asked last week about the court brief, Cuomo said, "They're free to litigate - God bless America."

He did not directly say if he thought sheriffs should speak out against
laws they enforce, but said, "They're politicians. They run for office,
too."

On Monday, Cuomo said Rensselaer County Clerk Frank Merola was "not
upholding the law" when he said last week he would refuse to release
permit-holder information. The law allows permit holders to make their
information exempt from state Freedom of Information Law disclosure if
they apply and meet set criteria.

Merola, a Republican, said that sifting through the applications would
take resources his office cannot spare. Instead, he will not release any
pistol permit data.

"That's not for a county clerk to do on a blanket basis," Cuomo said.
"You can't decide what the law is or change the law - their job is to
enforce the law administratively."

Remember: Hillary Clinton Fired From "Watergate" For Lying...

The now-retired general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Hillary when she worked on the Watergate investigation, says Hillary's history of lies and unethical behavior goes back farther - and goes much deeper - than anyone realizes.

Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the committee. Hillary got a job working on the investigation at the behest of her former law professor, Burke Marshall, who was also Sen. Ted Kennedy's chief counsel in the Chappaquiddick affair. When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation - one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifman's 17-year career.

Why?

"Because she was a liar," Zeifman said in an interview last week. "She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality."

How could a 27-year-old House staff member do all that? She couldn't do it by herself, but Zeifman said she was one of several individuals - including Marshall, special counsel John Doar and senior associate special counsel (and future Clinton White House Counsel) Bernard Nussbaum - who engaged in a seemingly implausible scheme to deny Richard Nixon the right to counsel during the investigation.

Why would they want to do that? Because, according to Zeifman, they feared putting Watergate break-in mastermind E. Howard Hunt on the stand to be cross-examined by counsel to the president. Hunt, Zeifman said, had the goods on nefarious activities in the Kennedy Administration that would have made Watergate look like a day at the beach - including Kennedy's purported complicity in the attempted assassination of Fidel Castro.

The actions of Hillary and her cohorts went directly against the judgment of top Democrats, up to and including then-House Majority Leader Tip O'Neill, that Nixon clearly had the right to counsel. Zeifman says that Hillary, along with Marshall, Nussbaum and Doar, was determined to gain enough votes on the Judiciary Committee to change House rules and deny counsel to Nixon. And in order to pull this off, Zeifman says Hillary wrote a fraudulent legal brief, and confiscated public documents to hide her deception.

The brief involved precedent for representation by counsel during an impeachment proceeding. When Hillary endeavored to write a legal brief arguing there is no right to representation by counsel during an impeachment proceeding, Zeifman says, he told Hillary about the case of Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas, who faced an impeachment attempt in 1970.

"As soon as the impeachment resolutions were introduced by (then-House Minority Leader Gerald) Ford, and they were referred to the House Judiciary Committee, the first thing Douglas did was hire himself a lawyer," Zeifman said.

The Judiciary Committee allowed Douglas to keep counsel, thus establishing the precedent. Zeifman says he told Hillary that all the documents establishing this fact were in the Judiciary Committee's public files. So what did Hillary do?

"Hillary then removed all the Douglas files to the offices where she was located, which at that time was secured and inaccessible to the public," Zeifman said. Hillary then proceeded to write a legal brief arguing there was no precedent for the right to representation by counsel during an impeachment proceeding - as if the Douglas case had never occurred.

The brief was so fraudulent and ridiculous, Zeifman believes Hillary would have been disbarred if she had submitted it to a judge.

Sweden could be paying a tough price for its policies on immigrants and multiculturalism. A Stockholm suburb erupted into violence for a few hours, as crowds of angry, masked youths from migrant families burned cars, smashed windows and hurled stones at police officers.

What's believed to have fueled the riot was the death of a 69-year-old man, allegedly shot by police in the area last week. The chairman of Sweden's National Democrats Party Marc Abramsson told RT this new trouble highlights old policy flaws.

Anthony Weiner is a twit who treats women like dirt

MILLER: Anthony Weiner is a twit who treats women like dirt

Anthony Weiner thinks his brief absence from elected office means the public will forget his disrespect and disdain for women. He's wrong. He didn't just treat strange women like sex objects, he harassed female journalists who work on Capitol Hill. Two of us work at The Washington Times.

Mr. Weiner was forced to resign from Congress because he was caught texting and tweeting pictures of his private parts to women, some from the House members' gym. The married Democratic congressman thought the scandal would blow over, but House Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Deborah Wasserman-Shultz were so disgusted with his behavior, they told him to take a hike.

A year earlier, The Washington Times White House Correspondent Susan Crabtree was covering Congress for The Hill. She was reporting on the House Ethics Committee's conviction of Rep. Charles Rangel, New York Democrat, and possible punishment. She wrote that her sources said Mr. Weiner might speak on the floor in defense of Mr. Rangel to get a lighter penalty than censure.

Mr. Weiner was furious with the story, probably because it could jeopardize his mayoral ambitions by being associated with the tax cheat. On Dec. 2, Mr. Weiner saw Ms. Crabtree in the Speaker's Lobby, which is the area off the House floor where reporters wait to talk to members as the enter or leave the chamber.

Ms. Crabtree asked him if he would be speaking in Mr. Rangel's defense that day. He replied that she had not verified that detail in her story. She told him that she had had two very good sources that said, exactly as she wrote, that he was considering speaking.

Mr. Weiner then gave her the middle finger - in front of all the other reporters - and quickly walked away.

The congressman wasn't just being a jerk and targeting a female journalist, but he was deceitful about his intentions.

As Ms. Crabtree reported the following day, during the censure vote, Mr. Weiner and two other Democratic members of the New York delegation gathered around Mr. Rangel in the well of the chamber to show their solidarity.

Mr. Rangel, the former chairman of the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee, became only the 23rd member of Congress in history to be censured by his colleagues in the House of Representatives.

Six months after Mr. Weiner flipped off Ms. Crabtree, he subjected me to humiliating sexual comments. I was covering the sexting scandal for The Times. On June 1, the whole Capitol Hill press corps was looking for Mr. Weiner to get some answers.

I happened to be the only reporter in the Speaker's Lobby when Mr. Weiner walked out, clearly looking for someone to tell more of his lies about the scandal.

At this point, he was still denying everything, telling the press that his Twitter account had been hacked. The other women had not yet come forward to show their own naked pictures sent by the congressman.

That day, Mr. Weiner stopped when I approached him and moved in very closely, about six inches from me. He debated me on the charges against him by making sexually explicit jokes at me. As this went on, dozens of reporters crowded around us in a huddle.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/multimedia/audio/anthony-weiner-makes-lewd-jokes-female-reporter/

Weiner: We don't know where the photograph came from. We don't know for sure what's on it. We don't know for sure if it was manipulated. If it was taken out of one place and dropped something else. And I'm going to let the firm get to the bottom of all that. Jon Stewart might have actually been right last night.

Miller: Are there pictures out there of you undressed? Do you have pictures that exist?

Weiner: You know this is part of the problem with the way in which this has progressed and one of the reasons that I was, perhaps - you'll forgive me - a little bit stiff yesterday.

Miller: Jesus Christ.

Reporter: You've used the word firm, you've used the word...

Weiner: Can I ask, is there a weiner joke that hasn't been used in this context?

Miller: You're making them all, though.

Weiner: I'm making them all?

Miller: You're making all those.

Weiner: I would refer you to any of the coverage of this case, the jokes kind of write themselves.

Mr. Weiner then gives an extensive defense of his privacy. A reporter asked him to explain how he claimed to have been hacked but did not deny taking the photo of himself.

"We know for sure I didn't send those photographs. We know for sure that someone did. We know for sure that one of my follower's name was inserted. We know for sure she's put out a statement she doesn't know me. I certainly don't know her. I don't really know her connection to this, but her statement speaks for itself." He then explained that he was tweeting at time and deleted the tweet when he saw it.

Miller: How did someone get a picture of you in your underwear, if that's possible?

Weiner: We don't know where this photo came from, if it has been manipulated, which is a possibility. As Jon Stewart alluded to last night, there are reasons to believe it might have been.

(Comedian Jon Stewart, Mr. Weiner's close friend and former roommate, joked on the previous night's show that he remembered his friend as being less well-endowed.)

Weiner: We don't know that it's a police matter. I got spam yesterday. ...

Reporter: How can it not be?

Weiner: How can it not be? Very easily. Every day all of us get spam. Every day, all of us have people responding to us, 'Can't believe you're sending me this.'

Miller: You're a member of Congress.

Weiner: I'm a member of Congress. I'm also a citizen. There's nothing official about someone sending ... by the way. ...

Miller: You're standing in the Speaker's Lobby, having 40, 75 reporters around you. If this is an issue of the Capitol Police, if this is ...

Weiner: Why?

Miller: Because you're a member of Congress standing in this Capitol ...

Weiner: But a member of Congress doesn't mean when someone sends a piece of spam to my account, doesn't make it a federal offense.

Miller: But this whole issue could go away. ...

Weiner: I am trying to find out, and I think I have taken steps to do so. If you'll forgive me, I know we're now in the weeds of a particular issue. If you can take a step back - not literally - you can step as close as you like. Let's remember what happened here. A congressman named Weiner who has a rather edgy, perhaps aggressive Twitter feed. Where he was spending the whole day poking at Clarence Thomas, gets a Twitter picture of fill in the blank.

This was a prank, intended to derail me or distract me, whatever it is. It is not a federal case. Now maybe it will turn out - forgive me - that this is the point of al Qaeda's sword and that this is the effort, this is where it's going to begin. And I've asked internet security to take a look at my private Internet feed - my private Twitter feed that has 45,000 followers, more than Michele Bachmann, I want to point that out. I finally passed her.

That interaction shows the real character of Anthony Weiner. Today, he does not claim to have learned to respect women in his brief absence from public life. He is solely focused on regaining power and fame.

The disgraced congressman asked New York voters Wednesday to give him a "second chance." He doesn't deserve it.

Media being denied FOI requests

Media being denied FOI requests for materials in David Gregory's ammo magazine case

If there is one lesson I have learned over my decade and a half
at Judicial Watch, it is this: you must never overestimate the hypocrisy
of the Left--especially in covering for their own.

Lest you have even the slightest doubt, cast an eye to the outrageous
behavior of District of Columbia Attorney General Irvin B. Nathan when
he allowed NBC-TV's David Gregory to walk away scot free for a firearm
offense, even while openly acknowledging "the clarity of the violation
of the law."

We don't know for certain what prompted Nathan to decline to prosecute
Gregory. We do know that, according to the Washington Post, until the
Republican sweep in 2010, he had been the House Democrats' top lawyer.
We also know that he was appointed attorney general by D.C. Democrat
Mayor Vincent Gray. And we know that some legal experts have questioned
why Nathan did not recuse himself from the case when it was discovered
that he had a personal relationship with David Gregory's wife. Clearly
more information was required.

On January 14, 2013, William A. Jacobson, founder and author of the
outstanding blog website, Legal Insurrection, submitted a District of
Columbia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the D.C.
Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and Office of the Attorney General
(OAG) seeking access to the following records:

 1. The January 9, 2013 letter from Lee Levine on behalf of David
Gregory, referenced in the letter datedJanuary 11, 2013 from Attorney
General Irvin B. Nathan to Mr. Levine which was publicly disclosed on
that date.

 2. All communications between the District of Columbia Office of
Attorney General and/or Metropolitan Police Department, on the one hand,
and legal counsel for David Gregory and/or NBC News, on the other hand,
with regard to the incident involving the display on television by Mr.
Gregory of an alleged high-capacity ammunition clip (the "Gregory
incident").

3. All documents in the possession of the MPD and OAG regarding the
Gregory incident, to the extent not exempted from disclosure under
applicable law, including but not limited to witness statements,
evidence review and possession records, interview notes, and forensic
testing.

On February 20, 2013, OAG informed Jacobson that it was withholding
certain requested records, including the January 9, 2013, letter from
NBC attorney Lee Levine, as well as responsive emails between OAG and
MPD. (We just learned the letter from Levine was made available to the
media, but is being withheld from us!)

The OAG also withheld in their entirety an affidavit and a warrant
responsive to the Jacobson FOIA request. On April 17, 2013, MPD informed
Jacobson that it was withholding responsive records as well. This past
week, Judicial Watch filed a FOIA lawsuit on Jacobson's behalf asking
that the Court to declare OAG and MDP in violation of the law and to
order them to produce the records without further delay.

The known facts in the Gregory case are simple. On Sunday December 23,
2012, the "Meet the Press" host interviewed the National Rifle
Association's Wayne LaPierre concerning firearms policy in the United
States. During the course of the interview, Gregory exhibited a
high-capacity ammunition clip. The possession of such an ammunition clip
is in violation of the law of the District of Columbia.

Gregory displayed the ammunition clip despite the fact that, according
to the D.C. Office of the Attorney General,"NBC was clearly and timely
advised by an MPD (Metropolitan Police Department) employee that its
plans to exhibit on the broadcast a high capacity magazine would violate
D.C. law, and there was no contrary advice from any other federal
official."

Some argued that, in accordance with D.C. law, Gregory should have been
charged with a weapons violation and taken into custody, as other
alleged offenders have been. The MPD failed to do so, however, and in
early January announced that it had completed its two-week investigation
and presented the case to the OAG "for a determination of the
prosecutorial merit of the case."

On January 11, 2013, after just two days of deliberation, Attorney
General Nathan sent a letter to NBC saying that his office would not
prosecute Gregory, "despite the clarity of the violation of this
important law." The Attorney General added, "There is no doubt of the
gravity of the illegal conduct in this matter..."

Yet, in what surely must be one of the most glaring non sequiturs I've
seen, Nathan then refused to prosecute Gregory. And the Washington
Times' outstanding editorialist Emily Miller well summed up the
absurdity of the situation when Gregory first committed his violation:

The District came up with its overly restrictive laws in response to the
Supreme Court overturning the capital city's 30-year gun ban. The
statutes shouldn't apply just to regular people but to the rich and
powerful as well. The District should either repeal its over-the-top
restrictions or send a squad car to take David Gregory into custody.

The way Gregory's prosecution decision was handled undermines confidence
in the fair administration of justice. If Gregory shouldn't be
prosecuted then no one should be - and the law should be rescinded. Our
client Prof. Jacobsen also is seeking justice in the public interest:

"The documents being withheld will help shed light on the details of
this highly publicized non-prosecution, which raised issues as to
whether well-connected and famous D.C. insiders were treated as any
other citizen in a similar situation. I appreciate Judicial Watch
assisting in this search for the truth."

Let's hope the courts put an end to this cover-up.
