The footage released shows fighting during August 4, 2012, when Lance Corporals Pralli Durrer and Rory Malone were killed after NZDF forces came to the support of Afghan National Directory of Security troops when an attempt to arrest a bomb maker in the village of Baghak turned into a 10-hour battle. The bomb maker was arrested, but not before the two corporals and four Afghan troops were killed. The video was released by the NZDF to illustrate the challenges and confusion that soldiers face during a battle.
