Assange: Obama 'corrupted the presidency'

Exactly one year to the day after entering London's Ecuadorian
Embassy, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange lashed out at the Obama
administration Wednesday over the White House's ongoing pursuit of
leakers.

Citing the prosecution of alleged WikiLeaks source Bradley
Manning and the recent case of Edward Snowden, Assange said
President Barack Obama's relentless efforts in office to hold
Americans accountable for leaking state secrets is ravaging what
remains of the reputation for a country once known for its vast
  press freedoms.

"We know from at least three national security reporters that
their sources are hesitant to speak to them, and
explicitly cite the treatment of Bradley Manning as a reason as
to why they are hesitant to disclose abuses by the United States
government in the national security sector," Assange told
RT's Andrew Blake in a conference call conducted from the
embassy. "So already the Manning prosecution is harming the
quality of Western democracy and the quality of reporting in the
  press."

The conversation, conducted over the phone for around 90 minutes
on Monday, afforded reporters the rare opportunity to discuss the
highly contested cases against Manning, WikiLeaks and Snowden
with some of the most knowledgeable experts on the subject of
whistle-blowing. In additional to Assange, panelists included
"Pentagon Papers" leaker Daniel Ellsberg and former National
Security Agency analyst Thomas Drake, who was indicted in 2010
after complaining about surveillance practices within the NSA.
Private Manning, a 25-year-old Army intelligence analyst, is
accused of giving Assange and WikiLeaks classified documents that
the Obama administration says harmed national security, and if
convicted of the most serious of charges could spend the rest of
his life in prison. He was detained in pretrial confinement for
three years until his military court-martial began earlier this
  month.

"The broad case establishes a precedent that publishing
national security related information about the United States is
  espionage," Assange said.

"President Obama must do the right thing. He must immediately
drop the immoral investigation against WikiLeaks, its staff and
  its sources," he said.

Assange has yet to be formally indicted by a grand jury, but
warned that other journalists and sources could suffer the same
fate as either Manning or himself if they continue to expose
state secrets, especially those critical of the current
administration. The WikiLeaks founder has been attempting to get
safe passage to Ecuador where he has been granted asylum, but the
UK wants to extradite him to Sweden where he faces questioning
over alleged sex crimes. According to Assange, the US Federal
Bureau of Investigation has a 42,135 page file on WikiLeaks and
another 8,000 relating specifically to his organization's alleged
relationship with Manning. If sent to Sweden, Assange has
cautioned, he will likely be shipped to America and put on trial.

Commenting on the case of Edward Snowden, Assange said the US
government is likely to charge the NSA leaker with espionage as
well, and that even the Guardian journalists who published his
evidence of widespread surveillance of American's phone and
  Internet habits should expect prosecution.

"It is clear to me at this stage that Mr. Snowden . . . is
being very aggressively pursued by the US national security
sector, and there's an open question as to whether the
journalists, Laura Poitras and Glenn Greenwald, will be in the
same position that I will be in in a year's time," he said.

"Will Glenn Greenwald be granted asylum by Brazil this time
  next year?" asked Assange.

But while the WikiLeaks chief had harsh words for the Obama
administration during Wednesday's presser, he fell short of
accusing the current commander-in-chief from launching the
alleged attack against journalists. In Assange's point of view,
that's a mission that never would have made it off the ground if
former-President George W. Bush didn't start slashing civil
liberties in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist
attacks. It was Pres. Bush who first authorized the programs
exposed by Snowden, but only under Obama did those initiatives
  intensify.

" We're seeing a shift from Bush to Obama ," insisted
Assange. "Bush corrupted the presidency in his executive
orders calling for mass seizure of telecommunications records
from American companies like Verizon. To really corrupt the
presidency you have to bring in an expert. You have to bring in a
constitutional scholar. So Obama did it properly."

The president didn't stop there, though, Assange cautioned.
"He not only corrupted the presidency in his pursuit of
expanding to the horizon the power of the national security
state, he also corrupted the court-the FISA court," he said. "He corrupted the
oversight committee in the Senate, he corrupted the US tech
companies like Google and Facebook and others who are being led
  into feeding in that system."

In the wake of Snowden's revelations, the White House, Department
of Justice and NSA have all defended the surveillance practices.
Eighty-four-year-old Daniel Ellsberg, who leaked the now infamous
Pentagon Papers during the Vietnam War, added during Wednesday's
conference call that while the Obama administration's actions are
unprecedented, they aren't free from the influence of earlier
  administrations.

"President Obama has gone further than any of the others in
using the apparatus of the government to shut down a process of
revelations from within his government that he doesn't
  control," he said.

Ellsberg has spent the last several years drumming up support for
Manning, WikiLeaks and Assange, and during Wednesday's phone call
said that Snowden and another whistleblower, former NSA agent
Thomas Drake, " performed a very great service " by stepping
forward the way they did. Like Manning, both Ellsberg and Drake
were charged under the 1917 Espionage Act before their trials
ultimately concluded with a comparably meager slap on the wrist.
Even if that doesn't match up to what Manning faces, though,
Ellsberg said their cases aren't without further comparisons.

"Each of us was willing to take a personal cost, a personal
risk, to expose it to the public," Ellsberg said, "So I
  see fundamental similarity there."

Elsewhere, Ellsberg said he'd likely act just as Snowden did if
provided the opportunity. "If I had documents showing that the
NSA at that time was carrying out dragnet surveillance without
suspicion, without probable cause-and in the early years, after
911, without even referring to these rubber stamp FISA courts
-I'm sure I would have put that out at the time. But I didn't see
  anything of that nature."

But commenting on the likely fates that Snowden and the WikiLeaks
source will be faced with, Ellsberg said there's likely won't be
"more Bradley Mannings" in the near future.

" Well, don't hold your breath. Fat chance ," said Ellsberg.

Later in the discussion, Assange said he'll likely be indicted
for espionage as a publisher, whereas Manning and Snowden both
served as insider sources. "I'm a publisher and a
journalist," said Assange, "However, the law enforcement
tools and the disturbing political rhetoric that has been implied
has been the same in all three cases."

"What's happened here is national security became the state
religion," Drake added to the discussion.

"Now we have claims about what is illegal and what is illegal
both with secret interpretations of the law erected by the DOJ,
and secret courts where they don't reveal how they process the
law. And secret oversight committees. There is a pantomime of a
legal process but there is no legal process that any common
person in the world would recognize to be just," Drake said.

On his part, Ellsberg said that the legal practices being enacted
right now by the president are not necessarily constitutional,
even if lawmakers let them be signed into law. Ellsberg called
the surveillance techniques operated by the NSA and the FISA
court "childish" and disagreed with the notion that the
government will not abuse them in order to go after Americans
never suspected of any terroristic activities.

The fourth week of Bradley Manning's court martial will begin
next Monday following a brief recess that has sidelines
proceedings for this week. That trial is expected to wrap up in
August, with the soldier likely to receive at least 20 years for
the 10 counts he already pleaded guilty to. What lies ahead for
Snowden, however, is something much less uncertain at this time.
Following the publication of the leaked NSA papers, Snowden went
into hiding in Hong Kong and has since dropped off the map.

"We are in touch with Mr. Snowden's legal team and have been
involved in the process of brokering his asylum in Iceland,"
  Assange said during the talk.

Former US
ambassador to Israel says possible phasing out of security assistance
'may be healthy for Israel. Ex-Defense Minister Arens says 'we can get
along without it'

	A legislative caucus
created to educate Israeli lawmakers to the basic realities of the
American system of government was launched on Tuesday in the Knesset,
Israel's parliament. Although a discussion of whether the United States should reduce its financial support for Israel
seems like a strange subject for a group that seeks to foster
bilateral relations, Israeli lawmakers representing seven political
parties and a former American ambassador to Israel did just that as they
celebrated the launch of the new Knesset Caucus on Israel-US Relations.

"We may be reaching a point that after discussion of how to
assure the security and intelligence cooperation (between the US and
Israel), we can actually phase out the security assistance," former US
Ambassador Dan Kurtzer
told The Media Line. "It represents a very small part of Israel's GDP.
Israel needs access to the technology and needs assurances that R-and-D
and other join projects will continue, but standing on its own two feet
may be healthy for Israel."

Israel may lose $500 million in US aid

Support came from Moshe Arens, a former minister of defense, who also
served as Israel's Ambassador to Washington. Arens reminded the
assembled parliamentarians and representatives of American Jewish
organizations present that there was a time when US aid to Israel made
up more than 20% of Israel's GDP, while today it represents only 1.5%
of the total budget.

"We love to get it, and our finance minister would probably kill
me if he heard me say this, but we could get along without it," Arens
said. The United States is going through a financial crisis with debts
in the trillions of dollars. We would be unhappy to find that aid is
being cut but we could survive without it."

By the same token, Knesset member Nachman Shai of the Labor party, who is the initiator of the caucus, disagreed.

"We do need the three billion dollars a year for defense and
military purposes because we are still in a terrible arms race," he told
The Media Line. "If we want to maintain our qualitative edge over our
enemies, the only way is to rely on America. At least in the next ten
years I can see Israel totally dependent on America for this."

In 1987, the US assistance package was created with an annual
allocation of $1.8 billion in economic aid and $1.2 billion in military
aid. In his first term in office in the late 1990s, Prime Minister
Binyamin Netanyahu
agreed to gradually relinquish economic aid at a rate of $120 million
per year over a 10-year period while military aid grew to its current
level of $3 billion a year, almost three-quarters of which must be spent
in the United States on the acquisition of American defense equipment,
services and training.

Despite the close alliance between the two nations, many on both
sides believe that there are still fundamental misunderstandings about
each other's governments. The caucus had actually been formed during the
previous government headed by Ronit Tirosh, who represented a party no
longer in the Knesset. Following her exit, Jay Ruderman, the president
of the Ruderman Family Foundation, approached Nachman Shai.

"I've been living in Israel for seven years and as I got to meet
Knesset members and government ministers, I realized they didn't
understand the American Jewish community," Ruderman told The Media Line.

He also said that the generation of American Jews who remember
Israel's early history as an embattled nation, is being replaced by a
younger generation with a different perspective.

"The connection of the younger generation with Israel is
changing," Ruderman said. "They are more integrated into American
society. If that relationship is changing, Israeli leaders have to be
aware of those changes because they will impact the relationship."

Nachman Shai, who has extensive experience with the American
Jewish community, said many of his fellow lawmakers don't have a clue about the United States or its Jewish community.

"I think there is a deep lack of information and understanding
of America," Shai told The Media Line. "I think I can use my knowledge
to deepen their understanding and knowledge of the political system
there; the culture of the US; and the Jewish community there.

The Ruderman Family Foundation has already sent two delegations
of Knesset members to the United States to learn about the American
Jewish community. However, some of those who participated with the
foundation are no longer members of parliament following the January
election which saw 48-new faces sweep into the 120-member legislative
body.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Ofir Akunis told
The Media Line of his experience as a participant with the Ruderman
Family Foundation delegation. "Such visits are, in my opinion, the best
way to build and support the mutual understanding between our nations."

Among the caucus's first time lawmakers is Rabbi Dov Lipman of
the Yesh Atid party, an immigrant from the state of Maryland who had to
give up his American citizenship in order to become a member of the
Israeli parliament.

"I've only been in the Knesset four and a half months," Lipman
told The Media Line. "I can definitely say that in terms of the
misinformation about Israel, there is a lack of education here in terms
of what we need to do in order to better portray ourselves in the
(American) national arena."

Along with all of the positive sentiment, some of the tensions in the US-Israeli relationship were also on display.

"What happens when there are differences of opinion between
partners and allies?" former Defense Minister Arens asked. "If the
subject at issue is of vital importance to one of the partners in the
alliance, the other partner will defer. The issue of Judea and Samaria,
of Israel's borders, is of vital importance to the State of Israel. It's
not of vital importance to the US," Arens said using the Biblical names
for land Israel acquired in the 1967 war and remain the primary bone of
contention between Israel and the Arab nations.

Kurtzer
spoke to the American side of the issue, explaining how pressure to
reduce spending, which makes foreign assistance a natural target for
trimming the US budget, can arguably be expected to affect Israel. He
suggested to The Media Line that while so far Israel has been immune
from the cutbacks resulting when "the American population sees their
lifestyle declining...It is part of our dialogue to focus on areas where
Israel has significant requirements and give back something to the US
in budgetary distress."

In Shai's estimation, "We have three or four years for this. At
the end of this Knesset term I can tell you whether it worked or didn't
work. We have a lot of work to do."

Someone has woken up here... This is the key to all gun control legislation.
						=======================================================================

House unanimously adopts Kelly Amendment to ban funding for UN Arms Trade Treaty

06/17/2013

Washington D.C.

Representative Mike Kelly (R-PA) introduced an amendment on Friday, June
14, 2013 to H.R. 1960, the National Defense Authorization Act for
Fiscal Year 2014 (NDAA), to prohibit federal funding for the
implementation of the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) for one year .
The amendment was adopted unanimously by the House of Representatives
by a voice vote and included in the final passage of the NDAA, which
Rep. Kelly voted to support.

Floor remarks by Rep. Kelly:

"Over the last year, I have been joined by
over 140 bipartisan members of this body to express deep concerns with
the ATT and to urge its rejection.

"First, the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty undermines our Second
Amendment rights by omitting the fundamental, individual right to keep
and bear arms and imposing a national 'responsibility' to prevent
firearms 'diversion,' thus opening the door to new gun control measures.

"Secondly, the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty undermines our
sovereignty by imposing vague, readily politicized requirements on the
United States and inviting United Nations-led investigations into what
U.S. policy makers knew or should have known regarding arms transfers
that allegedly violate the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

"Ultimately, the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty will stop the good
from doing good without stopping the bad from doing bad. As
then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said, the U.S. maintains the
'gold standard' of arms export controls. My amendment upholds our
current policies as well as our enduring values."

NOTE: The ATT opened for national signatures on June 3, 2013, and will
enter into force for its signatories 90 days after the 50th nation-state
has ratified the treaty. In order to take domestic effect, the ATT must
be signed by the president, receive the advice and consent of the
Senate, and be the subject of implementing legislation by the Congress.

Rep. Kelly is a leader of the national movement to stop the ATT. On
March 15, 2013, heintroduced H. Con. Res. 23, a bipartisan concurrent
resolution expressing opposition to the treaty, which currently has 146
co-sponsors in the House and 36 supporters in the Senate.

Can David Cameron explain why he has put us on al-Qaeda's side?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/10100943/Can-David-Cameron-explain-why-he-has-put-us-on-al-Qaedas-side.html

Can David Cameron explain why he has put us on al-Qaeda's side?

The longer a prime minister remains in 10 Downing Street, the more likely he or she is to go mad. Something of the sort happened to Gordon Brown and also, from 2003 onwards if not before, to Tony Blair. No prime minister has left office in full possession of his or her mental faculties since Jim Callaghan in early 1979.

One of David Cameron's admirable qualities has been his sanity. He is unexcitable. He is not paranoid, does not conspire against his colleagues, sit up to the small hours of the morning brooding, or hurl pieces of crockery around the room when in a violent rage. He is not subject to sudden, irrational mood-swings.

None of this can or should be taken for granted, and surely Samantha Cameron can take some of the credit. "My job is to get him out of here sane," she tells friends.

But the Prime Minister has been in the job for three years (and Tory leader for nearly eight), and watching him answer questions on the floor of the House on Monday afternoon, for the first time I started to wonder.

With Parliament back after the Whitsun recess, Mr Cameron made a statement that dealt principally with the civil war in Syria, and gave the belated parliamentary response to the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby. Many of his remarks were those of a man with only a tenuous grip on reality. What was missing was common sense. We have seen this many times before.

Sir Peter Tapsell, father of the Commons, said that Syria was now enduring what is "fundamentally a religious war between the Shia and the Sunni, which has raged within Islam for 1,300 years".

Mr Cameron would not accept this point. "When I see the official Syrian opposition," he replied, "I do not see purely a religious grouping; I see a group of people who have declared that they are in favour of democracy, human rights and a future for minorities, including Christians, in Syria. That is the fact of the matter."

Then Jack Straw, a former foreign secretary, asked whether the Prime Minister agreed that Iran would have to be part of any peace deal. Mr Cameron failed to deal with this essential question.

At the time of the Iraq invasion 10 years ago, something very like this happened to Tony Blair. A moment came when he too entered a virtual world.

Like Mr Blair, Mr Cameron has come to advocate policy in a macabre vacuum, devoid of truth or understanding. He too displays a reluctance to accept the irksome realities of the human condition. Like Mr Blair, Mr Cameron had taken no interest in the world outside Britain before he entered No 10. They both learnt about foreign affairs as prime minister, and both are open to the charge that they treat the subject like a grand, theoretical abstraction.

From the start, Mr Cameron (just like Mr Blair in Iraq) has been happy to entertain the proposition that this Syrian conflict is in essence a struggle between good and evil - benevolent democrats and liberals fighting a virtuous struggle against the murderous tyrant Assad. In fact, the rebels were not nearly as good (and President Assad not as evil) as Mr Cameron has thought.

As a result of this, the Prime Minister has got it wrong from the start. He massively underestimated Assad's support and staying power. He was absurdly contemptuous of the Russians (who have outmanoeuvred us all along). Above all, he has failed to understand the rebels.

Very much as Mr Blair and his American allies were duped by the impostor Ahmed Chalabi and his Iraqi National Congress, so Mr Cameron has made the mistake of taking the Syrian National Coalition seriously. They are intelligent, educated, well-intentioned men in suits - hotel guerrillas - and as such irrelevant to what is now happening in Syria. The Prime Minister would do well to read the mea culpa published last week in Al-Monitor, by a pseudonymous writer from Aleppo who calls himself Edward Dark.

"So what went wrong?' asks Mr Dark. "Or, to be more accurate, where did we go wrong? How did a once inspirational and noble popular uprising calling for freedom and basic human rights degenerate into an orgy of bloodthirsty sectarian violence, with depravity unfit for even animals?"

Mr Dark describes how the revolution has been captured by a collection of gangsters and fanatics. "This wasn't what we revolted for," he says in despair at the dreadful fate that has overcome the country he loves, "to replace one group of criminals with another." Mr Dark now says he has given up on the revolution. He says that he has seen that the only way forward is "through reconciliation and a renunciation of violence".

Yet Mr Cameron wants to escalate the fighting by arranging military support to the rebels. He told Parliament on Monday that he hopes this will "tip the balance" in their favour. Iran - in reality an essential part of any solution - will not be welcome at the negotiating table, and in Mr Cameron's mind there is no future for Assad, which probably means that the war will drag on and on.

I dare say that the Prime Minister is sincere when he asserts that Syria is in the grip of a civil war, with democrats and human rights activists ranged up on one side against an evil dictator. I have not been to Syria, but it is clear to me that Sir Peter Tapsell is much closer to the truth.

Certainly, the liberal elite in which the Prime Minister places such hopes was involved at the beginning of the uprising. But armed elements funded and supplied by interested parties in Saudi Arabia and Qatar were also present from the start. Their fundamental aim was nothing to do with human rights and the protection of minorities. It was to destabilise and destroy President Assad, Iran's closest ally in the region, and therefore assert Saudi dominance.

To what extent have Britain and America been complicit? It is hard to judge. What can be said with certainty is that over the past decade the Middle East, and to some extent the Islamic world, has broken down into two armed camps. On the one side are Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States, backed by the United States and (quietly) Israel. To everyone's enormous embarrassment, al-Qaeda is very firmly in this camp.

On the other side are Iran, Hizbollah and post-bellum Iraq, strongly backed by Russia and China. Viewed from this wider perspective, Mr Cameron's claim to be on the side of democracy and human rights, and against dictatorship, is not merely fraudulent - it is patently ridiculous.

We are not on the side of democracy. As Sir Peter Tapsell hinted in the Commons, Britain has wholeheartedly backed the Sunni camp - Saudi, the Gulf States, and al-Qaeda - in its increasingly bloodthirsty and horrifying conflict against Shia Islam. There may be some very good reasons for this, but I do wish that the Prime Minister would re-engage with the real world, come out publicly, and explain what they are.

Obama Ups the Stakes in Syria

Obama lied. He's a serial liar. He claims Syria used chemical weapons. His so-called red line was crossed. No verifiable evidence provides proof. Clear facts prove he lied.

Syria's Foreign Ministry called Obama's accusations "a caravan of lies" and "fabrications."

On May 5, Reuters headlined "UN has testimony that Syrian rebels used sarin gas: investigator."

Geneva-based "UN human rights investigators have gathered testimony from casualties of Syria's civil war and medical staff indicating that rebel forces have used the nerve agent sarin, one of the lead investigators said on Sunday."

"The United Nations independent commission of inquiry on Syria has not yet seen evidence of government forces having used chemical weapon."

Under heavy pressure, UN investigators back-tracked. They about-faced. They recanted. They lied. They claimed no "conclusive findings as to the use of chemical weapons in Syria by any parties to the conflict."

Investigators failed "to determine the precise chemical agents used, their delivery systems or the perpetrator."

Clear facts don't matter. Obama manufactured his own. He twisted reality to fit policy. He replicated a familiar scenario. Doing so reflects another Colin Powell moment.

His infamous February 5, 2003 Security Council speech (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2003/feb/05/iraq.usa) led to war. It was shameless deception. WMD claims were false. Powell later recanted. It was too late to matter. Iraq was ravaged and destroyed.

Waging war requires reasons to do so. When none exist, they're invented. At issue is greater intervention in Syria. Lies substitute for truth. Claims about Syria using chemical weapons don't wash. Repetition gets people to believe them. We've seen it all before.

Previous articles explained what bears repeating. Syria is Washington's war. It was planned years ago. US-enlisted death squads wage it. They're proxy foot soldiers.

There's nothing civil about ongoing conflict. Syria was invaded. Internal opposition is largely nonviolent. It wants dialogue, not war.

Washington's been arming, funding, training and directing insurgents since conflict began. CIA operatives and US special forces are involved.

"Salvador Option" rules apply. They include massacres, torture, other gruesome atrocities, and chemical weapons use blamed on Assad.

At issue is regime change. Washington wants pro-Western puppet leadership replacing Assad. Independent governments aren't tolerated. Big Lies launch wars. Obama's heading closer to full-scale US intervention. Libya 2.0 looms.

Alexei Pushkov reacted (http://en.ria.ru/russia/20130614/181661349/US-Chemical-Weapons-Report-in-Syria-Cooked--Russian-MP.html). He heads Russia's Duma. It's the Lower House of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

Obama's "going the same way" as Bush, he said. "Information about the usage of chemical weapons by Assad is fabricated in the same way as the lie about (Saddam) Hussein's weapons of mass destruction."

Benjamin Rhodes is White House deputy national security advisor for strategic communication.

"The president has said that the use of chemical weapons would change his calculus, and it has," he said.

US intelligence determined with "high certainty" that Assad "used chemical weapons, including the nerve agent sarin, on a small scale against the opposition multiple times in the last year."

US intelligence determined nothing. Insurgents alone used chemical weapons. Obama knows it. So do other administration officials and congressional members.

Rhodes turned truth on its head. He regurgitated the official lie. He's paid to do so. Imperial priorities alone matter.

Up to 150 people died, Rhodes said. Obama ruled out US ground forces. He made no decision regarding a no-fly zone. He stopped short of ordering other US intervention.

According to the Wall Street Journal:

"US military planners, responding to a request by the White House to develop options for Syria, recommended the limited no-fly zone along the Syrian border to protect rebels and refugees inside Jordan."

"The plan would create what one official called a 'no fighting zone' that would stretch up to 25 miles into Syrian territory along the Jordanian border, preventing Mr. Assad's forces from launching attacks against the rebels and refugees and protecting US personnel involved in distributing weapons and providing training."

"Under this plan, the US. and its allies would enforce the zone using aircraft flown from Jordanian bases and flying inside the kingdom, according to US officials."

"Suffice it to say (that what's planned) is going to be different in both scope and scale" than previously, said Rhodes.

"We will continue to increase these efforts going forward. I can't go through an inventory of the type of assistance we are going to provide."

"It's going to be substantively different from what we were providing certainly before our initial (chemical weapons) assessment in April."

"It's going to be an increase on both the political and the military side. We have a range of contingency plans drawn up."

Readers can review the full text of Rhodes' remarks.

Arms shipments will begin. CIA elements will handle them. Agency officials declined comment. On June 17 and 18, G8 leaders meet in Northern Ireland. Syria for sure will be discussed.

Russia prioritizes diplomatic conflict resolution. Obama wants war, not peace. Rogue leaders operate this way. So do Senators John McCain (R. AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R. SC). On June 13, they released a joint statement, saying:

"We appreciate the President's finding that the Assad regime has used chemical weapons on several occasions. We also agree with the President that this fact must affect US policy toward Syria."

"The President's red line has been crossed. US credibility is on the line. Now is not the time to merely take the next incremental step. Now is the time for more decisive actions."

"The conflict in Syria has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. The United Nations reported today that the death toll in Syria is approaching 93,000."

"Hezbollah is all in. Iran is all in. Iraqi militant groups are flowing into Syria to fight for Assad. Russia continues to provide military and diplomatic support."

"Assad is dramatically increasing his use of airpower against civilians and opposition forces in Syria. A report today stated that Assad's forces conducted at least 5,000 air-to-ground attacks last month alone."

"A decision to provide lethal assistance, especially ammunition and heavy weapons, to opposition forces in Syria is long overdue, and we hope the President will take this urgently needed step."

"But providing arms alone is not sufficient. That alone is not enough to change the military balance of power on the ground against Assad."

The President must rally an international coalition to take military actions to degrade Assad's ability to use airpower and ballistic missiles and to move and resupply his forces around the battlefield by air."

"This can be done, as we have said many times, using stand-off weapons such as cruise missiles."

"We cannot afford to delay any longer. Assad is on the offensive with every weapon in his arsenal and with the complete support of his foreign allies. We must take more decisive actions now to turn the tide of the conflict in Syria."

McCain and Graham are notorious warmongers. They're war criminals. They support lawless aggression. It's the supreme crime against peace.

Like Obama officials, they turn truth on its head. They twist reality to fit policies they urge. They recklessly endanger world peace. They threaten humanity. They belong in prison, not high office.

They're not alone. Likeminded scoundrels infest Washington. They proliferate Big Lies. They spurn fundamental rule of law principles. They do so unapologetically. Imperial priorities alone matter.

America's heading closer to more war. Obama's hands already are blood-drenched. He's a war criminal multiple times over. He can't wait to kill again.

He bears full responsibility for thousands of Syrian deaths. He plans mass-slaughtering more. His agenda reflects death and destruction.

He exceeded the worst of George Bush. His contempt for humanity is palpable. It may not survive his second term. He's got more than Syria in mind. The road to Tehran runs through Damascus.

Longstanding war plans threaten the Islamic Republic. Millions more lives are at stake.

Washington Post editors urge war on Syria. Stephen Hadley was Bush II National Security Advisor. James Steinberg is former Obama Deputy Secretary of State. Joe Lieberman was US Senator from Connecticut.

On June 13, their Washington Post op-ed headlined "Iran's nuclear ambitions demand urgent reaction from international community," saying:

"(T)he world has become numb to Iranian intransigence, a policy that is unlikely to change no matter who wins" Friday's presidential election.

A "sense of crisis is warranted," they claimed. Iran "stonewall(s) the international community at the negotiating table." It's heading toward "produc(ing) a nuclear weapon."

"The United States urgently needs to take several steps that will significantly sharpen the choice faced by Iran's leaders."

Obama "should signal unequivocally that the United States is prepared to take military action against Iran absent a diplomatic breakthrough."

"He should publicly announce that it has plans for military action against Iranian nuclear and missile facilities, conduct military exercises in the region in a systematic and sustained way consistent with those plans, deploy US military forces to protect critical assets of our allies in the region and prepare to close down overseas Hezbollah cells and expose Iranian intelligence agents."

"It is no longer possible to shrug off the ongoing diplomatic impasse with Tehran. The United States and the international community must approach this crisis with the clarity, determination and urgency it demands and deserves."

Iran threatens no one. It's nuclear program is peaceful. Washington, European and Israeli official know it. They claim otherwise.

Warmongers infest Washington. Bipartisan scoundrels decide policy. America's addicted to war. Permanent war is longstanding policy.

Peace is verboten. Today is the most perilous time in world history. Nations that live by war perish by it. America's demise may take humanity with it.

by Evan McMurry
3:44 pm, June 15th, 2013
"DC is one hot mess," Sarah Palin told the attendees of Ralph Reed' s Faith and Freedom Coalition conference on Saturday morning, trashing Obama over a variety of scandals, promoting libertarians over the GOP establishment, and encouraging tea party movements.

"Something more is going on than your garden-variety government corruption, or even illegality," Palin said. "As the left would say, this is shaping up to be a teachable moment. What's going on says something fundamental about our relationship to our government."

"The scandals infecting this city, they are a symptom of a bigger disease, and it doesn't matter if it's a Republican or a Democrat sitting atop a bloated boot on your neck, out of control government, everybody gets infected, no party is immune," Palin said. "That's why, I tell you, I'm listening to those independents, those libertarians, who are saying, it is both sides of the aisle, the leadership, the good ol' boys in the party on both sides of the aisle, they perpetuate the problem."

"You know what I wish the Congress would do?" She asked. "Just for a week, perhaps, put themselves on Cruz control-Ted Cruz control. I think we'd see some solutions."

"Don't discredit and dismiss everyday average hard-working Americans," she continued, "those who are part of that grassroot tea party movement who want to effect the positive change, because too often, leaders, you are not doing it."

RELATED: Palin Blasts NSA: Couldn't Find 'Two Pot-Smoking Bostonians With Hotline To Terrorist Central?'

Palin also took on the "pandering, rewarding the rule breakers, still-no-border security, special interest written amnesty bill," especially ribbing Jeb Bush for his fertility comment yesterday. "I think it's kind of touchy territory to want to debate this over one race's fertility over another, and I say that as someone who's kinda fertile herself."

Obama didn't evade Palin's lashing, either. "Where is our commander in chief?" Palin asked. "We're talking now more new interventions? I say, until we know what we're doing, until we have a commander in chief who knows what he's doing-well, chief, in these radical Islamic countries, aren't even respecting basic human rights, when both sides are slaughtering each other as they scream over an arbitrary red line 'Allah ak-bar'-I say, let Allah sort it out."

Senate Votes to Keep U.S. Out of UN Arms Trade Treaty

Did anybody catch this United Nations doozie? Approved by a 53-46 vote, is that close enuff for you?

In the pre-dawn hours Saturday, the Senate approved a measure "to uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty."

By a vote of 53-46, the Senate passed the amendment to the budget bill sponsored by Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.).

This reporter is in New York covering the negotiations at the UN aimed at drafting a treaty calling for the eradication of small arms trade, sale, and transfer by anyone other than UN-approved governments.

"We're negotiating a treaty that cedes our authority to have trade agreements with our allies in terms of trading arms," Inhofe before the vote on his amendment. "This is probably the last time this year that you'll be able to vote for your Second Amendment rights."

According to a story in The Hill , Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) proposed his own amendment "that clarified that under current U.S. law, treaties don't trump the Constitution and that the United States should not agree to any arms treaty that violates the Second Amendment rights." Leahy's amendment also passed.

A resolution of similar intent sponsored by Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) is currently pending before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Moran's measure declares that it is the sense of Congress that: the President should not sign the Arms Trade Treaty, and that, if he transmits the treaty with his signature to the Senate, the Senate should not ratify the Arms Trade Treaty; and until the Arms Trade Treaty has been signed by the President, received the advice and consent of the Senate, and has been the subject of implementing legislation by Congress, no Federal funds should be appropriated or authorized to implement the Arms Trade Treaty, or any similar agreement, or to conduct activities relevant to the Arms Trade Treaty, or any similar agreement.

Representative Mike Kelly (R-Penn.) has offered a companion measure in the House .

Both the Moran and Kelly resolutions declare that the Arms Trade Treaty "poses significant risks to the national security, foreign policy, and economic interests of the United States as well as to the constitutional rights of United States citizens and United States sovereignty."

The measures also points out that UN gun grab "fails to expressly recognize the fundamental, individual right to keep and to bear arms and the individual right of personal self-defense, as well as the legitimacy of hunting, sports shooting, and other lawful activities pertaining to the private ownership of firearms and related materials, and thus risks infringing on freedoms protected by the Second Amendment."

As The New American has reported from the United Nations last week, negotiators at the Arms Trade Treaty conference are planning to effectively repeal the Second Amendment by replacing the Constitution with the UN Charter and by replacing God with government as the source of all rights, including the right to keep and bear arms.

Principally, this treaty would eradicate the Second Amendment in two ways: first, by mandating that state signatories create a registry of gun owners, manufacturers, sellers, and traders; second, by making it nearly impossible for civilians to purchase ammunition.

The most egregious affront to the sovereignty of the United States is that there is not a single word in the Arms Trade Treaty protecting the unalienable right to keep and bear arms. In fact, the latest draft of the proposed agreement recognizes private ownership of firearms only for "recreational, cultural, historical, and sporting activities." This is a significant and unacceptable infringement on the rights protected by the Second Amendment.

In truth, however, Americans needn't look to an unaccountable, unelected body of globalist bureaucrats for reaffirmation of the rights already guaranteed by our Constitution.

While it is unlikely that the Senate would ratify the treaty in its present form (67 senators would have to vote to approve it), when it comes to disarming citizens of this country, President Obama has shown that he will not be deterred by congressional inaction or by constitutional limits on his authority.

Although in reality, treaties that violate the Constitution are prima facie null, void, of no legal effect, the Supreme Court has come down on both sides of the supremacy issue.

In a pair of contradictory decisions, the Supreme Court has held that "No doubt the great body of private relations usually fall within the control of the State, but a treaty may override its power" ( Missouri v. Holland ) and "constitutional rights cannot be eliminated by a treaty" ( Reid v. Covert ).

This conflict of cases creates a situation where, as Alan Korwin wrote in 2012 at the time of the previous round of negotiations on the Arms Trade Treaty, "While some of us would surely and boldly draw the lines where they are 'supposed' to be, i.e., in line with our natural and historic rights, the forces aligned against the Second Amendment have no problem arguing vigorously for its destruction, regardless of any of these details, and therein lies the greatest threat we face."

It would appear that regarding the preservation of the right to keep and bear arms, the states will be required to uphold the liberties protected by our Constitution in the face of federal collusion with the international forces of civilian disarmament.

The latest round of Arms Trade Treaty negotiations are scheduled to wrap up on March 28. Should the U.S. delegation agree to participate in the agreement (and President Obama has instructed them to do so ), the treaty will be sent to the Senate for consideration.

Americans who refuse to allow the UN to seize their guns and ammo still have time to contact their senators and remind them of the oath they took to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States," including the right to keep and bear arms.

Mithat Sancar, as he says, "do not go lost eternally forgotten many
things, temporarily place her erisemeyecegimiz waits for us."

  The testimony of literature

This is going to be wiped out tutunulabilecek to prevent one of the most robust branches of literature testimony. Orhan
Pamuk, Cevdet Bey and Ogullari'ndaki testimony, do not go to the city's
surface, an event that has been deleted or lost, Surp Agop Cemetery
tries to remind us:
"(...)
The new governor wants to yiktirmak clubhouse, give them a small plot
opposite the cemetery of the Surp Agop said. This would, I think,
doubtful. (...) One of the ladies playing tennis in the territory of the
old cemetery, the weather relented and told him all of a sudden it
would be inappropriate There
was silence. (...) The old cemetery with graves of the land on the
corner of tennis oynanmayacagini said the lady, he is not said to be

In
the same effort, Ahmed Aziz aboard Askale seen in the novel "fills out

(...) Last year expropriated, and

names duydukca amazement. cemetery, and I think the church would be
reduced at very low rates. "
Hold for the memory of the period is a branch of the other organs of the press. However,
the sources for this study, we found that we scanned, press covered
this issue in Armenian in Turkey and outside Turkey, while the Turkish
press remained silent. Subsequent
litigation process as a single unified resource, Armaveni Miroglu'nun,
Armenian media in creating this article and frequently consulted by
scanning penned "Pangalti Armenian Cemetery (Surp Hagop Cemetery)" The
article (Social History, No. 187) note that it is.

  The history of the cemetery

Date of Surp Agop Cemetery, 1560'ta begins in Istanbul, the great plague. Armenian
community, the victims of the epidemic, the time-of-town Elmadag
counted today, Surp Agop Surp Agop Hospital Cemetery is located across
the field begins to bury.
In
1929, according to the letter penned by Van Natanyan'in Margos, the
cemetery is located on the land, thanks to Sultan S"uleyman the Armenians
were Karaseferyan Manuk cook. After
Sultan zaptetmesinin Buddha, the Germans established a plot to poison
him, Manuk want to be involved in the conspiracy because the Sultan, do
not eat anything except his knowledge. Manuk unveils it rejects the request and conspiracy. Sultan, Gaspar want to reward. Manuk, him, demands a graveyard for the Armenians in Istanbul. Sultan also gives Pangalti'ndaki Armenians wide land. Natanyan'a, according to the Taksim Harbiye dates back to the land. Van
Karaseferyan family, who died in 1808 in Harutyun Karaseferyan, such as
Manuk Efendi, Pangalti buried in the Armenian cemetery, headstone,
cemetery, imperial edicts he issued his ancestor was written.

After
the outbreak of cholera in 1865, is now very close to the city center
of Pera, the Surp Agop Cemetery burial of the dead is prohibited. In contrast, the Armenian Cemetery fiisli is allocated to the congregation. Vacant
land for the cemetery dead defnedilemedigi Surp Agop, Istepan Pasha
Aslanyan'in efforts, the St. Gregory the Illuminator Church is built.
Sultan Abdul Aziz retained

In
1872, fiehremaneti (City Hall), the Surp Agop Armenian Cemetery War
confiscated land to include land, but the Sultan Abdul Aziz, the
cemetery was given, and the Armenians in the territory of the Armenian
community confirms that the imperial edicts. In 1912, the Municipality, the street, to expand, to take a portion of the cemetery. The
congregation, as the price of the land, not only the construction of
the wall, such as bones and tombstones transportation costs will be paid
for 15 thousand gold.

  Mezarlik'taki "monuments"

Cemetery were buried after the March 31 incident, a separate information causes confusion. In
1909, the Istanbul Action Army approached, Taskisla and Selimiye
barracks and put up barricades Hunter Taburlari'ndaki soldiers killed
violently opposed. The bodies were buried in the Surp Agop Armenian Cemetery. Mustafa
Turan, author of Memoirs of a General's March 31, the situation, "these
poor victims of the events of March 31 at unprecedented even worthy of a
Muslim cemetery, Surp Agop Armenian Cemetery buried," he explains. On
the other hand, Action Army soldiers who died in this incident and the
Christian volunteers, with a grand ceremony, the embedded. Enver
Pasha, in his speech at the Tomb "Muslims and Christians living and
dying, no longer as a sign of racial and religious discrimination to
recognize that they are patriotic friends they lie side by side," says
then. Arsen
Avagyan, the Armenians and the Committee of Union and Progress in the
book, the Surp Agop Cemetery and buried those who died fighting in the
Army, and even the cemetery, brotherhood, and erected a monument
representing the Muslim-Christian unity indicates. However,
this claim is shown as the source, Edwin Pears' Forty Years in
Constantinople in his book, this monument, in fact, Abide-i H"urriyet,
H"urriyet is located on the hill, the Army Corps of land adjacent to the
burial of the victims of the British Girls High School written . Have this conversation in front of the monument that Enver Pasha.
A further argument, the Surp Agop Cemetery, planted in 1919, is that a genocide monument. That year, a committee established for this purpose, and a number of Istanbul is true that the memorial project. Famous
Armenian intellectual Teotig this komitededir, collecting and writing
biographies of Armenians were killed in 1915 and taken to the start of
this reason. Teotig
April '11 Monument Surp Agop's cemetery memorial monument in the
photograph on the cover of the book, whether it is unfortunately
unknown. Rita S. Kuyumjian'in,
Teotig subject area and established the committee did not mention in
his book to the monument, and what we have today, that the ceremony of
inauguration of the monument, or there are no pictures showing the
absence of this information is now not only the nature of a claim.

  The case begins

Located
on the busiest street in Istanbul's Beyoglu district, and a large Surp
Agop Cemetery, has a large and very valuable land. Therefore, 19 Starting
at the end of the century, the land acquisition efforts, cut off from
the old and new Istanbul takes aim at establishing a Republic in the
period.

Towards
this goal, in 1931, the Municipality of Istanbul, a foundation from the
land of Sultan Beyazit parents, claiming that the transfer request of
the Council, such as other abandoned cemeteries and Land Administration
refers to the legal process starts by opening the case.
Miroglu'nun
Armaveni According to the article, in turn, required documents prepared
by the Board of Community Corporeal Land Registry Head Office in Ankara
sent two representatives to apply. Representatives
of the Armenian Cemetery Pangalti not abandoned, just in time, due to
health reasons explain forbidden burial of the dead there. Since
then, many times, the land, the property is registered with the
Armenian community and, therefore, states that can not be put in hand,
Land Center, Istanbul Land Administration, orders to save on municipal
land.
Patriarch
Mesrop Naroyan the period, as the representative of the Armenian
community and is involved in the case will follow the process. Municipalities,
as well as the seizure of Surp Agop Cemetery, cemetery property
foreclosures income when you put the Patriarch and the deputy Kevork
Naroyan Torkomyan, abandoned cemetery on the grounds that the Council
will prosecute on behalf of the Patriarchate. Narliyan
Maksut Patriarchate and Necati Bey's lawyer, cemetery, until the final
decision of the court not being allowed to pass through the official
shall request the Council. Court
to take the case, since now the Council from taking the land of 20
thousand dollars bail in the display in order to meet future
depreciation, provided that the request is accepted.
Based
on this decision, the Council's lawyers and the Armenian Patriarchate
of the Armenian community in Turkey, does not exist, the decision of the
Council of Ministers dated 19 July 1915 the Patriarch of the Armenian
Patriarchate in Jerusalem and the exile had been transported back to the
claim that there . Their aim is to prove that the right to sue on behalf of the congregation Naroyan'in Patriarch. The
Patriarchate's lawyers, the cemetery set aside the trial, the court
would have to provide evidence proving the existence of the Armenian
community. Re-regulation
of the Patriarchate and the Patriarchate decree dated 18 October 1915
shows onaylanisini, Mayor refutes objections to the lawyers and the
court rejected the demands of the Council accepts that the right to sue
the Patriarchate. Thus,
the Armenian community in Turkey, with all the rights of legal
personalities and religious institutions that Naroyan been approved on
behalf of the Patriarch is the leader of the rightful owner.
Ahmed Rafik "OPINION"

Court
to determine the boundaries of Sultan Beyazit parents and have a
historian Ahmed Refik Altinay Foundation and Istanbul Asar-i Atika
Museums Director Aziz Ogan throws, including a four-person panel of
experts. Claiming
false documents showing that the cemetery belonging to Armenians
Altinay of the land is the property of Sultan Beyazit Parent Foundation
'scientific' means exposes.
In this process, Turkey increased media interest in the case of the Surp Agop Cemetery. Published reports, often mentioned as a historian praised Altinay'dan which intervened in the proceedings. Altinay, gives an interview about the case of the evening newspaper, Surp Agop Cemetery. The
historical background to the case told the interview report prepared by
the Patriarchate, Necati Bey's lawyer said the case is a lack of
knowledge about the fort, "the Turkish fortress everything breaks down,
but never his own," he specifies.

  "You know" results

The
Committee of Experts, as a result of his research report by the
Foundation's parent indicates that the cemetery arsasinin Sultan
Beyazit. Directorate
of Foundations of the meeting, Mr. Rafiq Ahmed, Sultan Beyazit
Foundation's parents argued that provides examples of documents and
provide information on the foundation's borders.
In
1933, the Criminal Court of Istanbul, on the basis of this report, the
Surp Agop Armenian Cemetery, Cemeteries Act passed by the Council of
derelict land as a cemetery, and decides to accept. Altinay'a Rafiq Ahmed, the Council his "contribution to the value of billions from" a house is allocated for.
By the way, where all the documents related to the case, will not fire in Sultanahmet Courthouse on December 3, 1933. Therefore, the Surp Agop Armenian Cemetery proceedings, be postponed until the courts to begin work again. However, the Miroglu'na, according to the Department of Land and the municipality a copy of all documents are available.
From 1 March 1931, Surp Agop Cemetery trial ended November 26, 1934. The
court, in addition to other decisions, the Patriarchate, court costs
and attorneys' costs 150 lira Deputy Mayor decides to pay.

  The second case

After a while, the Church of Beyoglu three Horan Head of the Board of Directors. Hovsep Jalal, open a new case in order to eliminate the injustice 'precautionary measure-i' demands. Court,
the request, the cemetery grounds, and 10 thousand pounds for the part
of the building on bail until the end of the case show the condition of
these parts congregation accepts and decides to stay. However,
the Municipality, without waiting for the conclusion of the trial, maps
prepared by deeds cikarttirip plans to sell these lands. Meanwhile,
the court applied for the determination of the land value of the land
three years ago, set up a commission to determine the difference between
the current value. Suffered the loss of value of the land determined, Mayor, damages, demands, and 3-year total rent.
On top of that the Central Land Council, decides to give the Council the land title. Identified
in his report to the commission of the Court of the land value in 3
years, it was determined that the loss of 124 thousand pounds. Municipality,
or by adding the damage caused by the delay in the consideration of the
sale, the Patriarchate and open proxies against the claim for
compensation of 180 thousand pounds. Asim Us'un journalist claims that the Patriarchate Sabur Sami Bey puts it together in order to avoid paying the price. Sabur
Sami Bey case deterrent city hall, and in return, the cemetery, which
will remain in the hands of the Patriarchate of land is part of about 6
thousand m2. His
daughter built on the land, in the name of National Reinsurance
Administration should commercialize and sell 60 thousand pounds. In
the meantime, the cemetery had already been removed and the table in
front of the cross and the inscription today Sisli Armenian Cemetery.

  Cemeteries are not

The Foundation then initiated proceedings in the new land, claiming that its results can not. Thus,
a years-long affair with the Municipality of the Armenian community, by
order of the Ministry of Interior, and the Governor of Istanbul,
Beyoglu Muhittin "Ust"undag Arsag three Horan Foundation Board of
Directors (Fair) ended with an agreement between Surenyan (a period of
Atat"urk who was physician to dental Arsag Surenyan, the former chairman of Galatasaray Faruk S"uren grandfather). 850
thousand square meters of land through the Council, the Patriarchate of
6 thousand square meters of land, and the court costs remains the cost
of three thousand two hundred pounds.

The basis of the new Istanbul

Surp Agop Armenian Cemetery, in spite of all these pursuits and just struggle, are condemned in its entirety in 1939. St. Gregory the Illuminator Church destroyed, the owners of the tomb, tombs, time is allowed for shipments. Then, the cemetery on the sewn in large buildings, Elmadag also begins to take its present form. Many tombstones, designed a new urbanist Henri Prost and Travel Emin"on"u Square Park ladders are used in making repairs.
In 1939, the Surp Agop Cemetery case, as a means of power showdown appears again. In
this process, the President Ismet In"on"u Muhittin taken in almost
dismissed "Ust"undag 'misconduct' case which is the subject of a result
does not change the fate of the cemetery. The case on the grounds that the Ministry without notice process, resulting in the supply of "Ust"undag'a 50 pounds penalty.
Prof. Mayor from office after Lutfi Kirdar. Fahrettin Kerim G"okay, begins the sale of the land. First
guest house on the plot of land about to be sold to Koc Court today,
Hilton and Hyatt Regency Hotels, Travel Park, is part of the TRT
Istanbul Radio and Harbiye Military Museum.

The building blocks of the regime

Surp Agop Cemetery case, as a clear case of corruption in front of us. The
official ideology of private property, the state radio building blocks,
such as the military cemetery laid one by one to get back on today
'legal' point of view is almost impossible. However,
by remaining silent in the face of such injustice, usurpation of the
obvious can not find peace of mind by covering them. Surp
Agop example, even a casual Turkey gayrim"uslimlerinin were left dead,
tombstones, which are used in the construction of new examples of
Istanbul, Turkey, and the only one that new. Today,
we need transparency, face and mouth will be a formal apology, the
souls of the inhabitants of the Surp Agop Cemetery allows you to find
peace of mind, perhaps ... Maybe, but then you really bury "our dead."
Actors in the history of the cemetery seizure

  Muhittin "Ust"undag

Mustafa Kemal's immediate surroundings, as the President Inonu removed

Urbanist Henri Prost from France in Istanbul as a result of his work on the face of the city changed. Surp Agop Cemetery land is very precious arsasinin "Ust"undag Referring to the plans approved by Prost and the work began. Municipality
land 'of bringing' then, who mezartaslariyla Eminonu Square, where
allegations of corruption or any other thing of "Ust"undag name.
Asri Cemetery in particular draws attention to the issue. Several different cases of irregularities shall be tried but acquitted. According
to the journalist, Asim Us'un, this is something that caused the
acquittal, the threat of disclosure, availability, because the claims of

Recruits of Company B, 1 st Recruit Training Battalion, learned various chokes and counters aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, June 5. Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instructors with Instructional Training Company, Support Battalion taught recruits different chokes and counters in order to off-balance an opponent and re-gain control during an altercation.

The MCMAP session included the proper execution of a figure four variation choke, a rear choke, a counter to a bear hug, counter to a rear choke and counter to a headlock.

"These techniques teach how to incapacitate and defend against bigger opponents," said Sgt. Phillip S. Haly, drill instructor, Platoon 1031, Co. B., 1st RTBn. "If techniques are done right it levels the playing field and caters to a smaller fighter."

Some recruits come to recruit training with little to no fighting experience, while others arrive with prior martial arts experience.

"All these techniques are helpful. It's a good balance of self defense and offense," said Recruit Erik Estrada, guide, Plt. 1030, Co. B, 1st RTBn., who has previous martial arts training. "I like that MCMAP is more technique than raw strength; even something like a wrist lock can snap something."

Even though Estrada arrived at recruit training with experience in Taekwondo and boxing, he has not only improved his physical fitness through MCMAP, he's also learned something new.

"My dad was in the Marine Corps and showed me a few things but he told me I would learn more here," said 19-year old Estrada. "I didn't know the proper way to use chokes before (recruit training) but now I feel 100 percent capable of using these techniques properly."

During the session, drill instructors helped supervise recruits as they executed the newly-learned tan belt syllabus techniques.

The tan belt syllabus lays the foundation needed in order to move up in belt levels within the MCMAP program.

Recruits can look forward to earning higher belts when they finish initial training and arrive at their first duty station. The five MCMAP belt levels are tan, gray, green, brown and the highest, black.

With each belt come new and complex skills. Marines must learn and demonstrate mastery of all MCMAP techniques up to the belt they are testing for in order to pass.

Recruits must show proficiency in all tan belt MCMAP techniques as a graduation requirement. They must also learn all other fundamental skills that encompass being a Marine.

With six weeks remaining until graduation, recruits of Co. B are getting closer to achieving their goal, earning the Eagle, Globe and Anchor.

US Treasury Bonds are Junk Bonds? Is America Defaulting on Its Sovereign Debt?

Rating Agency Upgrades US Sovereign Credit Rating: Another Propaganda Attempt to Mislead the PublicBy Matthias Chang Global Research, June 12, 2013

Recently, I wrote an article explaining why US Treasury Bonds
are junk bonds and why rating agencies cannot be trusted at all,
because they have been up to their eyeballs in fraudulent activities.

I wrote that what I am stating may seem outlandish but it
reflected reality - that the US as well as its ally in crime, the United
Kingdom (UK) are bankrupt. Very few economists dare assert such a
conclusion because it would be a death sentence for their careers.
So, who can you trust anymore?

But, does it require so much courage to expose the ugly truth when
there are so much evidence to support what I have stated in my articles
which can be gathered even from the mainstream media?

It was taboo to suggest before the Global Financial Tsunami that America
was a bankrupt state and does not deserve an AAA rating. Yet, it took a
rating agency from China in early 2011 to break the taboo,
China's Dagong credit rating agency says the U.S has already defaulted. As AFP reports:

"'In our opinion, the United States has already been
defaulting... Washington had already defaulted on its loans by allowing
the dollar to weaken against other currencies - eroding the wealth of
creditors including China, Mr Guan said."
This follows on the heels of German credit rating agency Feri's downgrade of U.S. bonds a full notch - from AAA to AA - saying:

"The U.S. government has fought the effects of the
financial market crisis primarily by an increase in government debt. We
do not see that there is sufficient attention being paid to other
measures," said Dr. Tobias Schmidt, CEO of Feri Rating & Research
AG. "Our rating system shows a deterioration in economic health, so the
downgrading of the credit ratings of U.S. is warranted."
I would suggest that Dagong and Feri were rather generous in their
rating for obvious reasons (China being one of the largest creditor
cannot afford to trigger an immediate collapse of US bonds). If a
country has defaulted, its credit standing cannot be rated as AAA. It is
a junk debtor, no two ways about it!
If Joe Six-Packs defaults on a loan, no banks, credit-card companies etc. would extend further credit facilities. Period!

In November, 2011, the Guardian reported as follows:

Dagong, which has maintained a pessimistic outlook on US
fiscal policy, has been leading the charge to downgrade US debt over the
last 12 months, lowering the US rating from AA to A+ a year ago.
In August it downgraded US debt again, to A. Days later, Standard
& Poor's followed in its wake, becoming the first western agency to
downgrade US debt after the threat of a default was narrowly avoided
following weeks of political squabbling in Washington over whether
President Obama should be allowed to raise the US debt ceiling.
So, why are the so-called economists so reluctant to tell the simple
truth? Why are these economists not writing articles to expose the ugly
truth and save Joe Six-Packs from having their hard-earned money from
being wiped out by inflation and confiscations etc.?
The reason is simple. They have sold their souls.

And this cowardice is unforgivable because the taboo has already been
broken - two agencies have exposed the reality. So, is my article
stating that US Treasury Bonds are junk bonds really that outlandish??
Even the S&P down- graded the US albeit not to junk status!
The above downgradings were made even before the massive QEs by
Bernanke. The financial status has not changed for the better since the
down- grades, in fact it has gotten worse and have caused panics and
dissension within the ranks of the financial elites.
Bloomberg reported that,

Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Richard Fisher,
one of the most vocal critics of quantitative easing by the central
bank, called for a reduction in the $85 billion in monthly asset
purchases while saying he sees an end to a three-decade bull market in
bonds.
In an interview with Forbes, Alan Greenspan, former FED Governor said,

We have at this particular stage a fiat money which is
essentially money printed by a government and it's usually a central
bank which is authorized to do so. Some mechanism has got to be in place
that restricts the amount of money which is produced, either a gold
standard or a currency board, because unless you do that all of history
suggest that inflation will take hold with very deleterious effects on
economic activity... There are numbers of us, myself included, who
strongly believe that we did very well in the 1870 to 1914 period with
an international gold standard."
Given the fact that US cannot mathematically repay its debts at all
in the next fifty years, how can any reasonable man and or economist not
conclude that the US Treasury Bonds are indeed junk bonds?
If anyone still believes in the fancy economic fairytale dished out
by presstitudes, financial harlots etc. they deserve to be wiped out.
The situation gets more absurd as only a few days ago, the S&P rating agency upgraded US from negative to stable because:

Under our criteria, the credit strengths of the U.S.
include its resilient economy, its monetary credibility, and the U.S.
dollar's status as the world's key reserve currency.

Outrage as new European Union immigration guide helps migrants claim British benefits.

A EUROPEAN UNION handbook setting out migrants' rights to benefits, asylum and avoiding deportation was last night condemned as a "disgrace".
By: Macer Hall

Critics say the new EU booklet will encourage more migrants to the UK

The taxpayer-funded document - free on the internet - was published yesterday as the "first comprehensive guide" to border and immigration rules across the EU.

It details the rights of asylum seekers and other migrants to enter and settle in EU nations including Britain and how to go about launching legal action against removal attempts by national authorities.

In a list of examples of past cases, it even cites Islamist cleric Abu Qatada's successful -challenge under human rights laws against Home Office attempts to send him back to -Jordan to face terror charges.

Tim Aker, of the anti-Brussels campaign group Get Britain Out, said: "This booklet is a disgrace. We are facing cuts and yet the EU gives EU migrants a handbook on how to settle in the UK and claim from the welfare state according to human rights and EU legislation. It's not on.

"Obviously this will encourage more uncontrolled migration to the UK and inflate the numbers we can expect from Bulgaria and Romania next year. The only way to regain control of our national borders and control immigration is to leave the EU as soon as we can."

Critics warned that the 253-page handbook, which is published in 11 languages, would encourage more foreigners to head for a new life in the UK.

Tory MP Peter Bone said: "This is a complete waste of taxpayers' money. It shows exactly why we should have nothing to do with this corrupt, inefficient and bureaucratic super-state."

Nigel Farage, leader of the UK Independence Party, said: "The publication of this guide at this time is a predictably cloth-eared act by the European Union. It will act as a further encouragement to those who wish to come to the UK from countries, and more importantly will be used as a guide by those wishing not to be deported from the UK after arrival."

This booklet is a disgrace. We are facing cuts and yet the EU gives EU migrants a handbook on how to settle in the UK and claim from the welfare state according to human rights and EU legislation. It's not on

The Handbook On European Law Relating To -Asylum, Borders And Immigration is jointly published by Brussels-based quango the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights and the Registry of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

It is aimed at lawyers, police, border guards, immigration officials and any organisations dealing with immigration law.

Among the topics included are "access to asylum procedures, procedural safeguards and legal support in asylum and return cases, detention and restrictions to freedom of movement, forced returns, and economic and social rights."

It also sets out how, under the European Social Charter, migrants are entitled to seek a welter of benefits from their host country.

One passage points out that: "The ESC grants a right to housing, which acts as a gateway to a series of additional rights."

A Brussels spokeswoman said it was "complete nonsense" to suggest the handbook would encourage migrants to head to EU countries.

In many cases, it would help authorities make swifter immigration decisions and tell potential migrants they had no right to stay and order them to leave, she said.

Morten Kjaerum, director of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, said: "This handbook offers, in a user friendly manner, information and assistance to practitioners in the field, improving the rights situation of migrants and asylum seekers in the EU."

Officials yesterday declined to disclose how much the guide cost to produce.

PS4 & XBox1 already woefully obsolete - months before their release

...won't even catch up with a gaming PC that would have been considered bare-bones in 2010.

Xbox One vs. PS4 vs. PC: How the hardware specs compare
http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/156273-xbox-720-vs-ps4-vs-pc-how-the-hardware-specs-compare

With just two weeks until E3,
Microsoft has finally shown off the Xbox One. Unlike Sony, which is
being very mysterious with its PS4, we now have a fairly good idea of
the hardware inside the Xbox One. This isn't to say that we know
everything about the Xbox One, but, as with the PS4, we know enough to
corroborate the specs that have leaked over the last few months. We can
now say with some certainty that the Xbox One and PS4 are powered by
very similar hardware: The CPUs are probably identical, the GPUs are
only slightly different, and while there are underlying differences to
the memory subsystem, they will ultimately have very similar performance
and game visuals. For a detailed discussion of how the PS4's hardware
compares to the Xbox One and gaming PCs, read on.From Microsoft's
mouth, we know that the Xbox One (formerly known as the Xbox 720) has
an 8-core AMD CPU with 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB hard drive, HDMI in/out,
USB 3.0, and Gigabit Ethernet. For more detailed specs, we must
look towards the latest info from the games development sector, which
has been programming Xbox One games since last year and thus has
intimate knowledge of the hardware. The latest leaks suggest that the
Xbox One will have an 8-core 64-bit x86 Jaguar AMD CPU @ 1.6GHz, coupled
with a GPU that's very close to the Radeon HD 7790 .
The Xbox One will have 68GB/sec of bandwidth between the CPU/GPU and
RAM, the GPU will have 102GB/s of bandwidth to a local 32MB SRAM cache,
and another 30GB/s of bandwidth to gamepads, Kinect, and other
peripherals.
Xbox One hardware diagram. Note the ports on the back.

The PS4, in comparison, has an 8-core Jaguar AMD CPU ,
with a GPU that's around the same level as the Radeon 7870 (which is
significantly more powerful than the 7790). The PS4 has 8GB of GDDR5
RAM, providing 176GB/s of bandwidth to both the CPU and GPU. The Xbox
One mostly ameliorates this difference with 32MB of high-speed SRAM on
the GPU, but it will be a more complex architecture to take advantage
of.In both consoles, the CPU and GPU will be on the same die (an AMD APU ).
Just as the PS4 has 8GB of high-speed memory that is shared by the CPU
and GPU, the Xbox One - by virtue of being based on the same APU
heterogeneous system architecture (HSA) - will probably be the same. In
short, while there are small hardware differences between the consoles,
they will ultimately have very similar performance characteristics. The
PS4, with its one, big block of fast RAM, and bigger GPU, probably has
the edge. It's a little bit harder to compare the Xbox One's Kinect 2.0
with the PlayStation 4 Eye. From what we know so far, the Xbox One
sounds like it has the edge on movement tracking and gesture controls.
We should know more at E3, when Sony finally reveals a few more details
about the PlayStation 4 Eye.

Finally, the last piece of hardware that we can compare between the Xbox One and
PS4 is the gamepad. As we have already covered in some detail, the
PS4's DualShock 4 controller is really quite spectacular .
There's built-in movement tracking, so the console can track who's
holding each controller, a built-in speaker (like the Wiimote), and a
multitouch touchpad. The Xbox One gamepad, in comparison, is basically
just a refined version of the Xbox 360 gamepad. The only new feature
seems to be Impulse Triggers - which are normal triggers, but with a
rumble function built in. The PS4 controller definitely seems to have a
richer feature set, but in practice the most important thing will be
which controller you prefer to hold.In comparison to a modern PC,
you can probably guess how the Xbox One and PS4 compare. There's no
direct comparison for the 8-core Jaguar CPU - AMD's own parts based on
the Jaguar core, Kabini and Temash,
are quad-core parts destined for ultrathins and tablets. From leaked
benchmarks, the Jaguar core is around 10% faster than its predecessor
(Bobcat). A dual-core Brazos (Bobcat core) about 10 times slower than
the latest Ivy Bridge parts, in a very naive comparison. So, all in all,
an 8-core Jaguar might manage about half the performance of a
current-gen Core i7. The GPU comparison is easier: The Radeon 7790 is a
$150 card.In short, then, today's PCs will stomp all over the
Xbox One (and PS4) in terms of raw computation power. In terms of
gamepads and other peripherals, the Kinect 2.0 will also come to the PC
(though Microsoft hasn't given a timeline yet) - and, presumably, as
with the Xbox 360, you should be able to use the Xbox One gamepad with
your PC. With some hacking, you should be able to use the PS4's gamepad
with your PC, too.
It's not how big it is; it's what you do with itAnother
way of looking at the Xbox One and PS4, though, is their power relative
to their predecessors. In terms of raw, synthetic performance, the Xbox
360 could churn out around 300 gigaflops; the PS3 was around 400
gigaflops. The Xbox One and PS4, however, should both be above two
teraflops - about six times more powerful than their predecessors.
Remember, the output resolution (1920x1080) is unlikely to change - so,
with six times more power, we're looking at a significant improvement to
image quality.Using teraflops as a stand-in for real-world
performance, though, to quote our hardware analyst Joel Hruska, is like
"giving the fuel efficiency of a car going downhill with an 80 mph
tailwind on helium-inflated tires." What it ultimately comes down to is
how efficiently developers use the hardware - and in that regard, we
have high hopes. With the shift to x86, and a GPU architecture (AMD's
GCN) that's well known, developers will be able to hit the ground
running. Compare this to the Cell CPUs at the heart of the Xbox 360 and
PS3, which took years for developers to fully understand.

It's also important to remember that, in recent years, there has been a
fundamental shift away from games that do the bulk of their computation
on the CPU, to programs that use the CPU to offload computation to the
(much more powerful) GPU. With the Xbox 360 and PS3, both consoles had a
monstrous Cell-based CPU and an equally large GPU - the PS4 and Xbox
One, on the other hand, have wimpy, many-core CPUs and much larger GPUs.
With both consoles moving to fill more of a media center/set-top box
role, rather than focusing on gaming, we can foresee those cores being
dedicated to background tasks, such as downloading updates or listening
for voice commands. Ultimately, this will come down to the software -
and while we have quite a few details on the Xbox One's software , we know almost nothing about the PS4.Ultimately, with both the Xbox One and PS4 having such similar hardware, real-world
performance differences will probably come down to how well the
consoles make use of those eight CPU cores, GPU offloading, and
differences in the memory subsystem. It's also important to bear in mind
that a huge speed-up is available when developing games for a fixed
platform with known performance/latency characteristics. Realistically,
we wouldn't be surprised if games on the Xbox 720 and PS4, just like the
current generation, look very similar. Likewise, games will probably
look better on consoles for a few years, and then PCs will probably pull
back ahead.
