Martha had this incredible idea to recreate one of her scupltures in light. To mark the equinox and the shortest day of the year. It was my job/joy to capture the event. When i set out to make this video it was the 21st of December, its now 3am on Saturday morning 22nd and i just got finished.. its a bit rough, but I'm sure you'll get the jist of it. the shoot starts at sunset 3:50pm - and is composed of at least 1000 photos pieced together with intervals of ten seconds. there's also about 1000 candles in there. . It shows several ejections and then the big on at the end. Which clearly effected the C2 lasco as it didn't send another image for 5 hours after the event. They warn of snow in Ireland this year, but I doubt we'll see any at this rate. Best viewed in full screen The streaks of light in the footage are charged particles striking or passing lasco. Objects behind the sun are moving because lasco is moving and the background stars move accordingly.
