The woman swore loudly and shouted racist insults at staff when she was refused an extra piece of butter for her corn on the cob. The incident in the London Road, Brighton, branch of the fast food restaurant, was captured by another patron who objected to the woman swearing in front of a young child. Sussex Police said they take any report of racial abuse extremely seriously and would investigate the incident. The video was posted on YouTube on September 24 and has been viewed more than 100,000 times. Andrew Barber, who recorded the video, said: "I asked her not to swear in front of a little girl. She did not listen to anyone." A police spokesman said the video had been passed to the appropriate department. He said: "We take any form of hate crime seriously and Sussex Police will not tolerate it in any form. "Anyone who feels that they are the victim of abuse of this nature should report it to police; their call will be dealt with sensitively and in confidence."
