What one must comprehend is that the Hindu scriptures were written by men, called Rishis; they were not revealed from heaven by the almighty creator, unlike the holy scripture of Islam and other Abrahamic faiths. Men can change or ignore what is written by men (Rishis) as new reality arises. So, the current Hindu Marriage Act in India forbids the marriage of a girl below the age of 18. All Hindus accept this. But difficulty for Muslims is that, their holy scriptures are God's words. Changing or instituting laws contrary to what Allah commanded and prescribed in the Quran is the most horrible and sinful things to do, which will land Muslims in hellfire for eternity. How dreadful will be the impact on humanity should they succeed! While talking about the harmful effects of first cousin marriages it is important to distinguish between certain stray incident of such a marriage and the tradition where it is repeated again and again throughout the history. This second kind is very dangerous as it produces offspring with physical deformities. Nearly 6,000 serious ailments, including deficiency of IQ, are linked to genetic disorders. Research on this field revealed that a child born out of incestuous marriage is more likely suffer from the diseases arising from genetic disorder. Are diseases linked to genetic disorders inheritable? Genetic defects are always inheritable, but it may not always result in genetic disease or disorder. For example, when one parent - say father - has a genetic disorder, but the mother does not have the same genetic disorder or defect, the children born out of them may not have the father's genetic disorder/disease, because the mothers good of the gene repairs the defect. Of course, not all genetic disorders are inherited. Many of them are acquired by a person during his/her lifetime due to new mutations. For example, excessive sun-bathing exposes one to UV radiation, which can cause damage/mutations in genes of the skin-cells. Some of those mutations hit cancer-related genes, they cause skin cancers. Microcephalus Microcephaly (also called microcephalus) is a disease that prevents normal growth of the brain of the affected person. The circumference of the head remains much smaller than normal, because the brain does not grow at the expected rate. In this condition, the brain's small size will result in a head circumference that is less than 2 standard deviations below the average size for a child of that age. "Microcephalus is of two types. Primary microcephalus occurs with no identifiable cause as an inherited trait in families where many members are born with small head sizes. Secondary microcephalus occurs when the brain's growth is decreased because of conditions that can be identified: chromosomal anomaly such as Down syndrome, congenital infections with organisms such as the virus rubella, metabolic disorders, bacterial meningitis, or lack of oxygen early in life (called hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy). A mother who uses drugs or alcohol during pregnancy can also have a child with microcephalus. Exposure to radiation or chemicals can also produce a small head size (and thus, small brain). This is especially the result of conditions that occur in the first two years of a child's life when the brain growth is most rapid", says Wikipedia. But most of the investigators have found a direct link between microcephalus and genetic disorder arising out of consanguineous marriages. "The prevalence of consanguineous marriages was studied in 940 families belonging to four different socio-economic groups in and around Lahore, Pakistan. The births occurring in these families from September 1984 to March 1987 were also investigated for birth defects. ...Although, the frequency of both consanguinity and birth defects were related with the socio-economic levels of the study groups, there was no association between inbreeding and birth defects. Perhaps, deleterious recessive genes for birth defects have been "bred out", because of continuous inbreeding over generations in this population", says a study team in Lahore, Pakistan. A group of Dutch scientists found a direct link between microcephaly and consanguineous marriage and says, "Data were collected on the incidence, geographical distribution, and genetic aspects of 113 cases of microcephaly in the Netherlands: thirty-nine cases, or about 34 %, appeared to be of special genetic origin. ...Consanguinity among the parents of the 'genetic' propositi was found in 54 % of the cases. In 23% the parents were first cousins. In 24% no genetic arguments could be shown to exist for the diagnosis 'special genetic type'. In 24 % the only confirmation on genetical grounds was the existence of more cases in sibs hip and/or family." A team of Japanese scientists also found that the most cases of microcephaly originate from incestuous marriages. "Microcephaly is one of the most severe congenital abnormalities found in man. Its main characteristics are a distinctively small skull and brain, extreme idiocy, underdeveloped body and some neuropathic symptoms. Although it is rare, it may be found in both Caucasian and Mongolian races and possibly in other races as well. The cases occurring in the different races have many similar features. Great interest attaches to the genetic study of this abnormality, because of its severity, its conspicuousness and its rarity. Most of the microcephalics are undoubtedly of genetic origin, but there are cases apparently due to non-genetic. The Japanese investigators of this problem seem to have an advantage over the European or American workers is that microcephaly of genetic is apparently more common among Japanese than among occidental people. These greater incidents are based upon these facts: (1) the higher rate of consanguineous marriages among the Japanese and (2) the almost total lack of pelvic irradiation in the pregnant mother", says the study. Rat people in Pakistan In Pakistan, where nearly 70% of the marriages occur between first cousin marriages, produces many offspring afflicted with microcephalus, with deformation of the brain and skull. The first child will be born microcephalic and must be offered to the shrine. Otherwise, all the children born thereafter would be microcephalics or rat children. This legend serves two purposes: (1) help concealing the real cause of microcsphalus and (2) provides an opportunity for dumpling the microcephalic baby usually in the darkness of night. Sandra Layne, shackled in orange jail garb and surrounded by deputies, was sentenced Thursday in Oakland County Circuit Court here. It brings to a close a case that garnered national attention and tore apart a family already teetering on the edge. In handing down the sentence, Judge Denise Langford Morris called it a tragic case. She said a lot of unanswered questions remain, but what troubled her was why Layne didn't call police first that day or leave and why she kept shooting 17-year-old Jonathan Hoffman. Layne, who had no prior criminal record, was convicted March 19 of second-degree murder in the case. Layne quietly told the court Thursday that she loved her grandson. She talked of how Hoffman changed when he started using drugs and said his parents wouldn't come help her despite her pleas. "If I could go back," she said of that day, breaking down. "I'm so sorry. I don't know what to say." Layne said she feels pain every day for what happened. "I love Jon," she said. "I love him to this very moment." Layne's daughter and Jonathan Hoffman's mother, Jennifer Hoffman, spoke minutes earlier about the special bond she had with her son and asked the court for a harsh sentence. Breaking down at times, Jennifer Hoffman talked of the milestones in her son's life that she will never see, such as high school graduation and him having his own children. She said she now must mark his birthdays at his grave. She also noted the terror her son must have felt as he was dying, killed by a person he had loved. A prosecutor read a statement from Jonathan's father, Michael Hoffman. The father said in the statement that his family is profoundly hurt, and he talked of listening to a horrific 911 recording in which Layne shot his son again. "He was a gentle and loving soul," Michael Hoffman said, also asking for harsh punishment. "I miss my son every day." Layne shot Hoffman six times during the course of several minutes on the afternoon of May 18, tracking him upstairs and downstairs in her upscale condominium. Hoffman had been living with Layne and her 87-year-old husband, Fred, since August 2011 because his divorced parents had moved to Arizona. Fred Layne was in court Thursday for the sentencing, surrounded by supporters, and appeared to break down as his wife spoke. Layne's defense lawyer, Jerome Sabbota, argued that Layne acted in self-defense that day after Hoffman attacked her. He told the court Layne doesn't deserve to be in prison for the rest of her life. Hoffman was living with his grandparents because he wanted to finish his last year of high school in Michigan. His younger sister, Jessica, was undergoing treatment in Arizona for a brain tumor. Trouble started by early 2012 when Hoffman began using drugs. He was hospitalized in March after ingesting hallucinogenic mushrooms. Police searched his car at the time and discovered more drugs, records show. He was charged with drug possession in that case and another in early April after police found more drugs in is car. According to testimony during Layne's two-week trial, Hoffman was growing more violent in the months leading up to his death, smashing computer screens and kicking in doors. Weeks before he was killed, Layne called 911 to report that her grandson was out of control. Police arrived to calm the situation. On April 18, 2012, Layne sought a permit to carry a handgun, and bought a 9 mm Glock on April 27. On the morning of May 18, Hoffman underwent a court-ordered drug screening and tested positive for Spice, a synthetic marijuana. He then yelled at his grandmother that he refused to go to jail over the drug charge. Seventeen-year-old murder suspect De'Marquise Elkins' mother, Karimah Aisha Elkins, 36, and his aunt, Katrina Latrelle Elkins, 33, are accused of "false statements or writings," among other charges, the complaint said. Authorities held both women in the Glynn County Detention Center until they were released on $1,104 bond. Katrina Elkins also was held for an unrelated probation violation. Also Tuesday, police investigating the case found a weapon and are trying to determine if it is connected to the shooting, a Brunswick police spokesman said. Last Thursday, Sherry West told reporters she was pushing her baby in a stroller in broad daylight when two teenagers approached her. One demanded money and pointed at her what West first thought was a fake gun. But he fired at her, missing her head and hitting her in the leg, West said, and then the teen shot her baby in the face. Both of the suspects were charged with murder last week, and made their first appearance in court Monday. Wearing an orange jumpsuit, his hands and feet shackled, the 15-year-old listened as Glynn County Judge Timothy Barton read him his Miranda rights. One day, she summoned me and put me in that room by myself. And as the Gaddafi regime began to crumble, the abuses increased.Tragically, her friend Faten was killed in bizarre and brutal circumstances as the rebels closed in on Tripoli in the past month.Beautiful, and trained to kill: Libyan Popular GuardsThe two girls were on a checkpoint near the Bab Al-Azizya complex when Colonel Gaddafi's son and heir, Saif Al-Islam, arrived with an entourage. 'Saif was wearing a bulletproof vest, helmet and aviator sunglasses,' Nisreen recalls. 'Faten went to have a closer look, and Saif's bodyguard shot her in the head. She had simply got too close.'The spiral of horror gathered pace. There is a saying in Libya: 'Cut my throat but do not get a girl to shoot me in the back.' One suspects that the deployment of Nisreen as an executioner of 'traitors' was meant as a final insult to the condemned. Nisreen explains that she was taken to a building in the Bosleem district of Tripoli, put in a room and armed with an AK 47 rifle. He turns to us and asks: 'If a girl killed 11 people in your country, what would you do?'The scene has become an unpleasant freak show.We ask her if any of her family know she is here or what's happened to her. No, she replies. She gives us the phone numbers of relatives still in Tripoli. We call them and, finally, her stepmother answers.'I am at the Matiga hospital,' Nisreen pleads with her. 'Please, please come and get me.' She winces and struggles against her ankle restraints.'Keep quiet about it all. Her father is sick and in a wheelchair and has no idea what has happened. Brimfield Police Department started filming Kury after he reportedly exposed himself to the police officers. The next 20 minutes consists of the priest ranting and raving about random things from Sarah Palin to Gaddafi, sex and religion. He also talks about Oprah Winfrey and at one point starts singing the Star Spangled Banner. At one point in his diatribe, the priest asked the officer if he wanted oral sex. Kury has been removed from Holy Ghost Ukrainian Byzantine Catholic Church in South Akron while he undergoes alcohol treatment in Maryland. On Friday, Kury plead not guilty to the drunk-driving charge in Kent Municipal Court, and remains free on a bond. His license has also been suspended and he faces 20 days in jail if convicted. Justin Shine, 26, was charged with kidnapping, attempted rape, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon -- a hypodermic needle -- and resisting arrest. At his arraignment Monday in Hingham District Court, a prosecutor described in chilling detail what happened after the girl went out Saturday to ride her bike in front of her apartment in Hanover, a middle-class suburb just south of Boston. Shine was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing Wednesday. Not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf. Assistant District Attorney Sharon Donatelle said the girl told police that Shine, who lived in the same apartment building, saw her outside and yelled out his window, inviting her to see some gerbils. The girl knew Shine as the father of a little boy she often played with in the apartment complex. Once inside, Shine showed the girl the family's gerbils but then bound her hands with tape, put tape over her mouth, wrapped her arms with a "fishnet-type material" and shackled her ankles with a chain, Donatelle said. The girl told police that Shine injected her in the hip using a syringe and that she felt "somewhat sleepy" afterward. Donatelle said the syringe is being tested to find out what was in it. The girl fled the apartment as police were going door to door looking for her. A man at the complex found her and carried her to police.
