Mind if I ask which branch you served in? And which tribe? I heard a couple stories from a marine who served in Korea, he said a guy he was with was a Native American (Apache I believe), they were in close combat, trenches, and when people started to fix bayonets he ran in like a maniac lopping heads off. I'm guessing it was probably pretty terrifying for them on the receiving end, to be suddenly and unexpectedly bum-rushed by a screaming brave with a machete.
You'd be suprised at what the human body can do under extreme situations.

Thank you for the kind comments about my son. He is doing well and will return to 29 Palms in 2 weeks or so. So many of you all have encouraged and supported us, and we're very grateful.
I can see gas going to $5 a gal if not higher, possibly before summer with jumps in the cost like this. Let's see if Israel hits Iran, then the gas prices will really get fun! Good comment. Take it easy.
