Russians from the Caucasus region are mongrels who mixed with the Turks and Mongolians, who are both native to the region.

I really wonder how Russians can actually hate the US and have pride when so many of their people are so desperate to come to the US. It's funny though, the people in the US that hate the Russian government the most seem to be Russian immigrants. The only people that seem to take the stances that Vitali does are the ones that are completely brainwashed by Russia's state-owned media propaganda.

Hey buddy, why don't you skim through some of the comments dealing with Russia here on LL or turn on your TV? Wouldn't it be more becoming of you Americans, all high and mighty, lords of the world, to show us poor Russian stinkers a little magnanimity, a little more clemency? But no, see despite being knocked out in 1989 we refuse to grovel and take orders from Ameircans unlike those European poodles in Brussels and Geneva who're all too ready to wag their tales to please the master. Americans don't hate Russians. If that were true, Russians would have it pretty bad here in the US when actually they don't. You should see the income levels of Russian Americans compared to Russians who still live in Russian. I don't remember the exact figures, but a Russian living in the US is going to make on average something like 5 times as much as he/she would in Russian.
I admit that many Americans will talk trash about Russia, but it is with nowhere near the level of raw malice and hatred that native Russians show for the US. In our media, coverage of Russia isn't always positive, but it simply can't be compared to Russian coverage of the US.
I've seen your media, your government actually wants Russians to hate the US and fear the US as some constant bully so that your government can get away with what it normally couldn't. Russia was heading towards a more liberalized democracy shortly after the fall of the Soviet Union and now you're going straight backwards because Vlad the Assailer and his puppet Medvedev have taken over.
What's that? We were heading for a liberal democracy in the 1990s? Wow. You Americans have this annoying trait in that you presume you can lecture others when you clearly haven't got a clue. But perhaps you were being facetious? I don't know. If you weren't then you clearly don't know anything about Russia beyond what your "free media", as you like to call it, spoon feeds you. The only thing we were heading for was anarchy and collapse and many here predicted that Russia would disintegrate just like the former Yugoslavia and descent into internecine war.
But you know, your statement that the coverage of Russia in the US "isn't always positive" was just comedy gold. I give you major points for that. It's especially hilarious in light of the latest bout of Russophobia in your country after we had to repel Georgian attack against our allies and interests in the Caucasus.
Whatever. I have little interest in what you think of our country or our administration and this dispute about who hates whom the most is quite purile. But here's what we can agree on - you don't like us and we don't like you and the only thing that matters is who's going to be the last one standing so let's dispense with hypocrisy and the obfuscations and be honest with ourselves, shall we?

The downturn in the US economy actually hurt your economy more than it hurt ours. Your stocks have declined by more than ours have. Your GDP has declined by more than ours has. Your horrible income levels which were already bad have gotten even worse.

Why are you so bitter towards the U.S.? Your country is like an older, run down version of the U.S. You wear clothes americans wore in like the 80's to 90's, listen to our old music, watch our old Tv shows and want to be us.
