I had a 2000 Hyundai Elantra wagon. The engine threw a rod at 76,000. The dealer said it was from poor maintenance and they would not fix it without receipts for oil changes. Jiffy Lube had one on file for me. Of course that was not good enough at all. I have a friend of the family that owned his own little car repair place. He gave me a pile of blank receipts that I then filled in and presented to the dealer. They fixed it under warranty. It took the better part of a month but they fixed it and then I sold it. So my advise is to cheat. Not very honorable but neither is it for the dealer to deny coverage for a warranty repair. Good luck.
