I don't mean to stink up you page with a zillion messages but I just wanted to put forth another cultural difference between LL and Youtube for your consideration:
Because LL is a much smaller group of users you will find more persistent and vigorous dialog between dissenting members. Please resist the urge to delete their comments. If a spirited discussion is to occur, a poster will gain incredible respect from most thinking members for allowing harsh criticisms on their posts. If they are boorish or rude, it is even better for the poster as they stand publicly to discredit that person. The open dialog is a beautiful thing and it's a leap of faith at first. If you allow it, it will pay off in spades. If you do routinely delete comments the community will do two things:
Lose respect
Lose interest your posts (due to a lack of ensuing debate)
I say enjoy being a lightening rod. Enjoy all types of enthusiasm, positive and negative. You are clearly a very well read intellectual capable of thinking on his feet. If you remain open, you will quickly become a legend here at LL!

YouTube migrants typically don't assimilate well because the format and logistics is vastly different.
