People often want to know why I use the Purple Heart as an avatar. My son was wounded in Iraq in 2007. He recuperated, deployed to Afghanistan in 2008, and is now out of the Marine Corps.
The avatar was chosen out of respect for the sacrifices of our brave young people in defense of our country. It has been my privelege to know some of these amazing young people, and they will be my heroes forever.

Hey MM, all is good. Thanks for asking. I have had to go through a bunch of re-training and training to keep my qualifications up. The Medical book stuff and practicals is no problem, but the physical stuff (SAR,USAR,Swift Water,AirEvac and High Angle Rescue) seems to get harder every year past forty... and that was a while ago,lol. To be young again.
Hope all is well, I am not here much anymore because time is at a premium lately. Another month and I should be done.
That being said, Where's that bottle of advil? ..or more importantly, do we have anything stronger?
