If the military operation was legal judging by the UN then that's fine with me also.
But you forgot you actually typed next to that "according to international law" which means Not only did Hamas break it but so did Israel by Launching White phosphorus and missiles into crowded areas of Gaza and shooting at groups of women and children holding white flags.. Not only that but they also got UN personel killed. And as usual humanitarian workers.

I could not care less if Hamas is launching rockets at Southern Israel illegaly held occupied land.

But instead their only means to fight is with homemade rockets. they don't have aircraft tank and a navy.
