Fresno, California residents woke up to some wild weather Thursday morning (8/30). The rain, wind and lightning kept a few people from driving anywhere. Rain and winds caused a tree to fall in one neighborhood. It landed on several cars in the parking lot of an apartment complex. There were no reports of injuries. The storm also caused a number of problems throughout Fresno County. In Caruthers, some power lines were knocked to the ground, stopping traffic at one intersection. In Kerman, a lightning strike hit a power pole and caused a minor power outage. There were no reports of damage.
