Are you still getting redirected?
Hey Guys,
It has come to our attention that quite a number of people are experiencing redirects to other sites while browsing liveleak.
Liveleak staff are trying to figure out what advertiser is causing this by disabling them one by one.
We would like to ask you if you could use the comments of this item to let us know if you are still getting redirected and to what site / URL this is.
More..
Thank you,
Liveleak Staff Less..

Not a redirect as such, but a screen flashes up warning me that LL has been reported to Microsoft as untrusted. Any ideas why?

I was hit with a full screen virus alert announcing LL as "dangerous". I'm pretty familiar with most virus/rogues out there, but had never seen this one before. Happened two days ago back to back when I logged into liveleak. Hasn't happened since, and there was/is nothing funny on my system.
The window virus alert window closed very easily each time, and I had not been surfing elsewhere previously.
If it happens again, I'll gather all the info I can.

It's most likely not an advertiser. I would guess your server has a virus. I read about this a few months ago, but I no longer have the link. The virus randomly redirects to one of several sites, including one which infects workstations with a virus (fake anti-virus program). I think it affects mainly Linux servers.

It hadn't happened to me as I am automatically logged on, but I just logged out to test it and I got directed to http://ads.linkbucks.com/redrockspop-sumo.html
hope it helps

Most likely someone you pissed off by banning (I won't name any names,) intentionally figured out a way to infect your server. This would explain why some of the messages target LL. I wish I could provide you with more specific information, but it was about 4 months ago when I read about this type of virus, so the memory is hazy.

Think you should feature this to make sure all get to respond

Well to help troubleshoot you can use FireFox and use NoScript addon.
If you allow each instance, 1 by 1 (you can temporarily allow scripts in consecutive order) you might see which script/host is causing the redirect.
Worth a shot anyways...

I've only been redirected once a couple of days ago and didn't get the URL, sorry.
I constantly get warnings from my Avira program blocking viruses from downloading on this site. It doesn't happen on any other site, just this one.

It's happened three or four times in the last week on my mac.

Here's a good roundup of webserver exploits:

Actually, it can come from an advertiser. I've seen it happen before (and the perps were caught and prosecuted for it). Ad rotation companies host advertisers whos ads are displayed on various websites in rotation form. A website that signs up for the service is paid whenever the ads are clicked on. It doesn't take much for someone to upload an ad with a viral script written into it. It can even contain a "delayed reaction" so that when the script initiates, you can't tell which ad it came from. The script can be anything, a redirect, a virus download, whatever the creator of it designs it to do.
