Reminiscent of films like Homeward Bound or Lassie, a cute pup has made a long voyage to get home to his family.
Rambo, a 6-month-old Australian shepherd, travelled far to get to his home in Jersey City after he went missing during a car crash last month.
Rambo was travelling with owners Elizabeth and Eric Blythe down the New Jersey Turnpike during a rainstorm June 23 when an out-of-control blue minivan hurtled across three traffic lanes towards them.

To dodge the van, Mrs Blythe mounted their Toyota Corolla on a median, slammed into a tractor-trailer and finished up thumped into another median.
During the ordeal, the pup -looking for an escape route - leaped out the broken rear window and scooted off down the Turnpike.
Elizabeth, with two newly-acquired broken ribs, along with police, friends, family and neighours all went in search of the scared pup but no luck.
'When I first heard what happened, my first instinct was that the dog was gone,' said neighbour Charlie Balcer.

He added that where the dog jumped out, near Newark Airport there was a 20-foot drop.
'But then, I thought, 'This dog's name is Rambo -- if anything, he's going to survive just because of that.'
And that she did - turning up in a parking lot in Elizabeth two hours later.
Tracey Ball, who works nearby spotted the pup but had to wrestle him from a woman who wanted pooch for her daughter.
Even though the dog was untagged she said: 'I figured this was someone's pet.'

After calling authorities, Ms Ball talk Rambo to her vet where employee Kristi McArthur took him to her Sayreville, NJ, home - 20 miles from where the crash happened.
'I felt if I didn't get involved, someone would have taken him,' Ms McArthur said.
Three days after the accident, the pet ended up back with the Blythes.
'We can all breathe again,' she said.
