Ok I get it you think it's absolutely absurd war. Eternal should be getting charged for this. But this a private company. Most airlines are claiming bankruptcy and are in huge financial crisis since 2008 recession. That extra gear is added weight. Which means more fuel to be burnt. Which also mean more handling time. This all costs a company money. So they should just eat it right? Ok so where do you draw the line. Vets shouldn't have to wait in line. They should be seated first at restaurant More..

@Noalias
The government *does* foot the bill for official travel - including extra baggage costs if authorized on the travel orders.
As for taxes, military pay for each month spent in a combat zone like Afghanistan is exempt from Federal income taxes.

@sjefke Then what's the problem here? Government foot the bill for baggage. But the extra baggage they bring with them that they check is personal items. Why are my fucking tax dollars paying for your personal items. I don't care if your fucking Gandhi

Delta Airlines should be ashamed for doing this, you dont charge Heroes. If this charge has to be paid then charge the government.

@Noalias I thought you knew it is the government that picks the soldiers fights, you know now. The governments help any shareholders of any company that gains through this, again, you know now.

@Bawbag So what does that have to do with delta. These soldiers got paid for their duty. Read my post. Don't blame delta. You want to talk about the government footing the bill ok. But delta? Give them a break. Extra weight extra fuel. They should eat that? Lol. Wow you don't own your own company or know anything about business and if you did you wouldnt last a month your business would fail. Everything you just talked about was politics. Nothing to do with cost of operations of an airline lol. More..

@hamburger Why do t you think they deserve them? They should just fail? You think of a bail out as they are getting free money. Your government made 19 billion of aig bailout so far lol. Be happy dude. It was a rough time. The airlines didn't deserve to go under because your fucking housing market collapsed and brought down the reset of your economy with it. So I'd they didn't deserve that. Maybe they deserve to be bailed out no? Are you jealous or something?

@hamburger If the airlines go under transportation across this country will fail and then will cause all business too fail.

@Noalias Airline failure had nothing to do with housing, these airlines have been in trouble multiple times and huge companies like twa, pan am, tower air all folded before the crises. They've always been changing names and going out of business

Agreed the gov't should pay , but you can't fault Delta, they are a business and why should they bend the rules for 'military'? They get enough of my tax dollars to cover this.

@Noalias If there is a contract stating they are able to board with 4 bags...then they should be able to board with 4 bags. I don't understand where your argument is. You seem to just want to be contrarian.
