  • Week and a half ago this same bear was in my backyard. Scared the crap out of one of my dogs.

      They are quite un-nerving when you're caught by surprise,but usually one is relatively safe around them. Try walking upon one in the woods as I did at ten yards well before daylight which weighed in at 500 pounds and only a bow in your hand. That will rattle your cage for sure.

      I walked up on one hiking in Yosemite as you just described. It had it's back to me and I thought it was some bizarre fern or plant near some waterfalls...anyways, he turned and looked at me, Moo'ed exactly like a dairy cow at me and went on his merry way. Took me the better part of the day to stop shaking.But it was a great experience.The way he turned around on me was very slow.Deliberate even.He was not afraid of me, yet knew to keep distance. The bears I've seen out here in Flor More..

  • It would be tempting to try and feed or pet the bear but yeah it's a damn bear that has no fear of humans so it definitely has to go! Hopefully to a nice wooded area with lots of berries and other food sources.

      Not around here.There's plenty of forested area here but this bear likes the food better where the humans are. Truth be told, according to Fish and Game, this bear is looking for love.It's mating season for these black bears.Seeing a lot of black bears lately.Which is odd, because in the past I only saw tracks where they have been. Now they are popping up everywhere. Next to this apartment complex is a grocery store where they throw out old food. less than a 1/4 mile away is all w More..

  • We got children in here. So let's get the wildlife division out to get rid of the bear.

    Maybe they could clean up some of the fucking trash, and give the bear a reason to move on.
