Arthur 'Big Boy' Crudup - My Baby Left Me (1972)

Arthur Crudup talking about how they (Elvis and such) took his work and made lots of money, while he still had to work on the farm to get through.

He mainly plays "My Baby Left Me" a song of his from the late 40's. It's the same music as another song by him called "That's Alright Mama" which was Elvis' first Single in 1954.

My Baby Left Me is a blues song written by Arthur Crudup.

It gained further exposure in covers by Elvis Presley, who placed his version on the b-side to his 1956 single "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You"; by Creedence Clearwater Revival, who recorded it as a track on their 1970 album, Cosmo's Factory; and by John Lennon (mis-titled "Since My Baby Left Me"), recorded for the Rock 'n' Rolll-sessions in 1973, but only released posthumously on Menlove Ave. in 1986.
