Journalists Educate the TSA at Buffalo Airport

An interesting video showing the TSA reaction when questioned by a couple of journalists.

The female officer's facial expressions are priceless when she asks for ID, as her power trip is denied.

Both the interviewees and interviewers express valid points.

  • While I personally hate the TSA for their unwillingness to target their attention to those who meet the profile for most likely to be terrorists or drug smugglers, I do have to admit that the increased security screens have kept Americans safer in the skies. I remember passing through unmanned security gates pre-9/11.

What I would prefer TSA do, however, is drop the random searches and focus their attention on guys like Mohammed with Saudi passports. Case in point, on my last flight out of Char More..

Yeah? Once had two random searches in a row at each airport. Funny that...

    • @3239DeepDive While I am vehemently against Islam in general and Islamist terror ideologies, I detest profiling.

It is against the law to target specific individuals based on racial or other demographic information.

In the words of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (And I am quoting something I read 25 years ago) "The most unsavory character I met, donated all his life's earnings to the London poor. While the most winning woman I knew murdered her own 4 children for their insurance money."

      O More..

  • What a quote from her ' With terrorism at the level it is, I didn't create the level of terrorism'. No shit, but your government has you well and truly fooled.

Only in America is it brain washed into you about this so called, terrorism.

I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland and have seen less terrorism than most yanks!!!!!

  • If you would have furnished your ID's to them, I wonder if your names would have ended up on some Federal black list of some sort.

  • Just profile muslims. They'll cry, but who fucking cares, they cry about cartoons.

  • although I support their point (the journals), at least be prepared when encountering people that are knowledgeable (like the old officer there), because other people could dismis you as you are not fully aware of what you are supposed to know. Nonetheless, great exercise of public awareness.

  • you ave to take the TSA for what it is... a low paying job tht recruits from the local community. take a look at any neighborhood huddled around a major airport and you kinda get what you pay for. here in n.y. they make between 10 and 15 dollars an hour.

    • @stav napolous I agree but they should at least train them to be more respectful and kind to travelers.

    • @surfy i don't know if training can produce the results you're looking for. if the TSA wants better quality employees they need to raise requirements and wages... but its a gov't agency so that won't happen.

  • correct. you didn't create the fear society has, muslims did, middle eastern muslims to be specific. white Americans did not hijack planes and fly them into buildings and the ground. stop abusing white Americans and go straight for the obvious parties.

  • When he said "it's places like Germany where you have to show your papers" I decided he was a half wit.
Does he want to be safe on his next flight or not?

      Safe from what?
Does the fear-mongering work that well on you?
More people die in the US from bee allergies and plasma tv's falling on them than terrorism.

That's why I used M10 bolts when I fixed my last TV to the wall.
Next time I get on a plane I hope the other passsangers are vetted.

You do know that the "Underwear bomber" was let on board a flight in Holland, with no passport, no identification whatsoever, except for the convincing rhetoric of an unidentified well dressed man who managed to convince the boarding agent to let him on the plane because he was a refugee from some Asian or African country.
So they let him onboard, I would like to know how and who has the authority to successfully convince any boarding agent to let an unidentified man with More..

  • I agree if you freely give up your rights due to intimidation eg You say no, & they refuse to leave it at that, then before long people & those in authority forget what laws are actually in place, eventually the laws are altered in line with then peoples beliefs that they do not have rights.

  • personally i dont mind being felt up or searched i only want to see it done to more muslims and less old white people for diversity reasons.

muslims are the problem, old white people are a whole different issue.
