NO AUDIO --Longwood Florida 12/10 Two young thieves burglarized and then vandalized a Christmas display outside a Longood church and police were surprised to see on surveillance video who the suspects were. The church said the burglars took about $500 worth of props and tools, but the fact that they targeted the Christmas display at all is what has everyone so disappointed. The night vision cameras caught two women enter The Walk Through Bethlehem display in Longwood, but they weren't looking for the meaning of Christmas. With a flashlight in hand, video shows one of them point something out and they eventually walk off with the loot, including an expensive shofar. The church said the original purpose of the surveillance cameras was to give the congregation inside the church a glimpse on the big screen of what was going on outside at the presentation. But it was those same cameras that kept recording over night and caught the two thieves on tape. Police said they hope someone can recognize the faces of the two young women. The incident happened around 2:00am Saturday. (12/10/07)
