*volume warning at end of clip* Seems he was intent on killing himself, but waited for the the rescue team to set up the air-bag. Don't know why, when the reason you're up there is to kill yourself, so why wait for rescue? Anyway, maybe something made him think he could jump past the bag, but a kick to the back fixed that ..... good to see him try to take only himself out, and nobody else.
